Good Thursday Morning Peeps! I hope you all are having a great week so far.
Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch challenge this week on
splitcoast.I am still struggling a bit with my creativity. I had the basic design of this card done fairly fast, I knew the idea I wanted to create, but actually getting it to look the way I imagined was a bit harder. I started with my DS paper, this fabulous paper is from the "Holiday Lounge" pack. I chose my colors from there, Shara sand and Ruby red.
The main image tag is what I had a problem with, I trashed two other tags before finally settling with this one. I like this one and glad I keep pushing through til I got it the way I wanted.
I did stray just a bit from the sketch, I tilted the min image panel just a bit, where as the sketch had it straight. The "ornaments" on the tag are from the "Delightful Decorations" set and are stamped in ruby red ink and I used my ornament punch to punch them out and they are mounted to the tag with some diemsionals. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.
I used the tag corner punch and layered up, ruby red, Shara sand and then whisper white card stock. I did stamp the ornaments directly onto the white, and then added my punched ones over them, to create the "out of the box" look. Before added the top ornaments I used some score tape to put down my loop "hangers" for the ornaments.
I layered up two circles for the top and added some white grosgrain ribbon and a BIG ol' brad, don't you love those big brads? The ornaments are decorated with some sticky pearls and I added three more to the side.
Well, that is all for today, thanks s much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!
