Dynamic Duos and Paper Players....Birthday Wishes

Happy Halloween Peeps!!

Guess I have been very quite lately, but there is just so much going on and not enough hours in the day.
I probably should have a Halloween card for you today but sadly I don't.
I do have this fall Birthday card to share.

I used a couple of challenges to pull this card together, the first is the color challenge this week on Dynamic Duos Blog:

and also the sketch challenge this week on The Paper Players Blog:

I added some basic black card stock for my neutral. The colors this week made me think of sunflowers, so I pulled out my Blossom Party Die and die cut a couple of flowers with so saffron card stock and then sponged them with more mustard ink.

The DSP on here is from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone pack. I am not wild about this card, but it is OK I guess.
I did get a lot of crafting time yesterday so I will try and have some more posts this week.

Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Merry Monday......Season's Greetings

I woke up yesterday with Christmas on the brain and I wanted to make a card with one of my favorite sets.
This is Stampin Up's Beautiful Season,  and besides Greeting Card Kids this would be an all time favorite of mine.
Don't you love that pretty image with the holly, berries and chickadee?
I made this card using this week's Merry Monday Challenge.

I started my card with a base of Crumb Cake card stock and then followed that with some Cherry Cobbler card stock and the DSP on here is from the Festival of Prints pack. I love the colors in this pack, I hope SU makes more of this size packs in the future!!

The sentiment on here is from the retired Four Holidays set.
I had fun making this one and I also started a new project a 3-D Christmas ornament made with my favorite non SU Holiday paper, I will be showing you that sometime next month and keep an eye out for a couple of exciting announcements coming up!!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Dynamic Duos....Trick or Treat

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

In my last post I told you I haven't made many Halloween cards this year, but I am making it up!
When I saw the colors this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog, I had to play along!

Pumpkin and Black, perfect for Halloween!

I pulled out my wide oval punch to make another Jack-O-Lantern. You all know I love to make these!
I punched three ovals with pumpkin pie card stock, I embossed and sponged the ovals and then assembled the pumpkin. The face pieces are hand cut all except the smile, which is made with the small oval punch.

The DSP is from the Stampin Up Scaringbone and Howlstooth paper pack and the sentiment comes from the Toxic Treats stamp set.
I added some square brads from my stash, non SU, and turned them in different directions.

I love the little googly eyes, don't you?
Thanks for stopping by today

Sweet Sunday.....Toxic Treats

Happy Sunday peeps!!

Time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Love this sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I did change it up just a bit.
I haven't made a lot of Halloween cards this year even tho I do love to make them. My life has changed a bit since hubby's illness and me going back to work and finding time to make all the things I want has been hard. I am trying to make myself do a bit more, sometimes I just don't have the energy!! LOL!!

So anyway I decided to pull out the Stampin Up Toxic Treat stamp set for this card.

The DSP is from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone pack.

The base of the card is basic black and I followed that with some tangerine tango and then the DSP.
I turned the bottom element of the sketch. I added some ribbon and put my "tails" out the bottom instead of the side.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

Dynamic Duos.......Get Well Wishes

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

I am still working on a card order so I used this challenge to make another get well card.

I have to say I love how this card turned out, I guess I shouldn't say that and I don't often but I do love this one even tho the stamp set and the DSP on it is retired.
The DSP is from last years, I think, fall Stampin Up pack called "Spice Cake" and the stamp is from the "Simply Soft" stamp set, it was a hostess set, I believe.
The DSP was perfect for this challenge, it has soft suede and pool party colors in it.

The base of the card is soft suede, I followed that with some pool party and then the DSP. I then added some more soft suede that I embossed with the square lattice EF. I tucked three flags under the edge of the embossed soft suede piece.
The flower is stamped with black stazon and watercolored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I then added a scrunchy pool part bow made with some seam binding ribbon and added a vintage button.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

More Birthdays

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another birthday card. This one is a CASE of a fabulous card made by Wendy Jansen, I loved her card and since I needed some more birthday cards I decided to make one like hers, I just changed the colors and leaves and I used some DSP for my BG, but the rest is all Wendy, Love her style!

The flower is from the Stampin Up Mixed Bunch stamp set and is punched out with the matching Blossom Punch. I used the Build a Blossom punch for my leaves which are old olive and embossed with the square lattice EF.
The DSP is from the Stampin Up Perfect Polka Dots paper pack.
The sentiment is from the retired Happiest Birthday stamp set.

I love the look of the spiral punch along the top of the white layer, sadly this punch is also retired.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Sorry I have been a bit MIA lately, life is hectic and I am still a bit under the weather with this lingering cold and to top thinks off I took a tumble on Friday and I am sore all over!

Anyway, still working on a card order, this is one I put together using a past color challenge from the The Dynamic Duos Blog.
This is really a favorite color combo of mine, love the look of old olive and rich razzleberry together not to mention it makes a pretty flower card, and you know I love those! :)

The flower on here comes from the Stampin Up Fabulous Florets stamp set.
I stamped the greenery with old olive onto whisper white and then stamped the flowers with rich razzleberry onto some scrap whisper white. I then cut them out and popped them up over the greenery. The top flower is just part of the same image as the bottom. I just cut away a bunch of it.

The base of the card is white card stock followed by rich razzleberry card stock.
The DSP on here is from the International Bazaare pack and the Polka Dot Parade pack.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and I stamped with razzleberry ink and used my circle punches to punch out and mat.
I added some white card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF and some rich razzleberry satin ribbon (retired).

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Dynamic Duos....BOO to you

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using this weeks color challenge on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

Since it is Halloween Season, so to speak, these colors made my mind instantly go in that direction.

I had just got this fun little set from Stampin Up called "Monster Munchies"...I LOVE this cute little owl in this set and had to use him for this card. I stamped the owl with tangerine ink onto some very vanilla card stock and used my 1-1/4 inch circle punch to punch him out. He is matted with a 1-3/8 inch circle of basic black. I then punched a scallop circle with my tangerine and added the circle to that.

I just happened to find the old olive piece and the basic black piece already embossed in my scrap pile. I love being able to use pieces up from that huge pile. The old olive was embossed with the square lattice EF and the black with the spider web EF.

The base of the card is old olive card stock followed by basic black and the pretty chevron striped DSP is from the "Howlstooth and Scaringbone  paper pack.

I found the two little square brads in my stash while digging for something else and thought they would be cute on here, they are non SU. I just had to add a googly eyes to my cute little owl.
The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with black stazon onto very vanilla card stock. I curled and cut the end.
I added the owl piece to my card with some dimensionals and tucked the sentiment panel under the edge.
I then added a couple of small pieces of DSP with ends cut in a "V" under the scallop.

Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

FMS.....Get Well Soon

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Still working on an order from a very good customer who asked for a few Get Well and Birthday cards.
This one I made using the sketch this week on the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

The DSP on here is from the Stampin Up "Fan Fair"  pack and I let that dictate my colors for this card.
I used Pink Pirouette for the base and DSP is matted with Primrose Petals card stock.

The flower is from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set and the sentiment comes from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. I love the sweet Delicate Doilies Sizzlit Die and I used with more pink pirouette card stock to make the mat piece for my main image. It is added to the base card with dimesionals. I added a little butterfly, a ribbon bow and some pearls to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I am off to work in a bit, and hubby has another doctors appointment later this afternoon, talk to you all later

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC169....Get Well Wishes

Happy Sunday peeps!!
Time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Love this sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I decide to pull out my Stampin Up "Summer Silhouettes" stamp set to make this cheery card.
I had a request for some get well cards and it seems appropriate since I have been fighting a nasty cold all week.
I used whisper white for my main image panel and stamped the leaves and stems with lucky limeade ink and made the flowers with rich razzleberry, pool party and daffodil delight.
I used one of the Finishing Touches edgelit dies across the bottom.

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry and the DSP on here is from the International Bazaar paper pack.
I matted each piece of the DSP with white card stock. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
I added some white satin ribbon across the bottom because you know I HAD to have a bow on here and then a few basic pearls to finish it up.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

The Paper Players........Christmas

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week on The Paper Players Blog.
This week it is a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge:

I went with the top line, Christmas, Sparkle/Bling and Ribbon.
I used a favorite Stampin Up set called "A Beautiful Season" I love this set and love to color this pretty bird/holly image.
I stamped the image onto a piece of confetti cream cardstock that I had cut out with the top note die.
I colored with my water brush and ink pads, using cherry cobbler for the berries, old olive for the heaves and crumb cake and basic gray on the bird.

For my sparkle/bling I used some of the silver glimmer paper from Stampin Up. I used some small scraps and just cut the edges of the top note and tucked it under the sides of the main piece. I don't want to waste that glimmer paper.... wink, wink!

I just got a package of the Stampin Up Tulle Ribbon and wanted to use it on my card. I was so surprised with this wonderful tulle ribbon, so easy to work with! Love it and will be getting the other colors, I had only ordered the cherry cobbler at first to play with to see if I liked it.
The sentiment is from the same set and stamped at the bottom with black stazon. I cut off one edge of the top note and lined it up with the edge of my card.
The DSP on here is from the Festival of Prints pack.
I finished it off with three basic pearls in the top corner!

Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Dynamic Duos.....Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

I chose Old Olive for my second color.
I used the Blossom Party Die for my flowers and The lattice die for the piece my flowers are mounted on. The piece behind the lattice is embossed with the new Lacy Brocade EF.

The DSP on here is from a Simply Sent kit.
I used the bird punch for my old olive leaves.
I added some basic pearls to the flower centers and on the lattice piece.
The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Well, that is it from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!
