More Birthdays

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another birthday card. This one is a CASE of a fabulous card made by Wendy Jansen, I loved her card and since I needed some more birthday cards I decided to make one like hers, I just changed the colors and leaves and I used some DSP for my BG, but the rest is all Wendy, Love her style!

The flower is from the Stampin Up Mixed Bunch stamp set and is punched out with the matching Blossom Punch. I used the Build a Blossom punch for my leaves which are old olive and embossed with the square lattice EF.
The DSP is from the Stampin Up Perfect Polka Dots paper pack.
The sentiment is from the retired Happiest Birthday stamp set.

I love the look of the spiral punch along the top of the white layer, sadly this punch is also retired.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

411 Sketch x 2

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!!
Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using the sketch this week on the Stamping 411 Blog.
Of course my card is not exactly like the sketch:
But you can see the basics of the sketch on my cards.
The first one uses Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder card stock along with Whisper White.
I used the Stampin Up "Mixed Bunch" stamp set

This one I used Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink card stock along with the Whisper White.
I stamped and embossed the BG pieces and added to the bases. The flowers are stamped with the two colors respectively and I used the Blossom punch to punch them out. The centers are punched with my 1 inch and 1-1/4 inch circle punches.
I added a silver brad to the flower centers, and also to the top corners and to represent the element in the bottom corner of the sketch.
The sentiment on the Concord Crush card is from the "Curly Cute" stamp set and the pink sentiment is from the "Occasional Quotes" stamp set.
I used the Build a Blossom punch for the leaves.
Can you believe NO ribbon? I know not my normal, but I like how these cards turned out, simple but oh so pretty IRL. The colors are so rich!
Well, that is it from me for today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

OCC....Over the Edge

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.
This week our hostess with the mostest is the fabulous Tui Nathan and she has another fun challenge for us:

This week the challenge I have for you is "Over the Edge" - create a card, or paper craft item with a design element that is not restricted to the boundaries of the card edges, and continues to flow off the edge of the card, for instance this could be a die cut element, a sentiment banner, a fussy cut image, ribbon etc. Push your design to the edge .... and have fun!

I wasn't sure about this one until I got a bit of direction from Tui,  just extend something over the edge, I can do that!!
I used some new goodies, the Stampin Up Mixed Bunch and matching punch!  I also used the lattice die. I choose to use Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler card stock along with some Whisper White. I originally was making a square card but decided to make it a standard size so I added on the bottom piece, it is hidden by the ribbon. It is 4-1/2 inches wide tho so I guess not really standard but with the leaves and sentiment flag off the edges it wouldn't fit in a regular envelope anyway.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog
to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun challenge.
I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do, don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
