A Little Note

Happy Thursday Peeps!

There is a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

This one was fun to work with.

I started with a base of thick whisper white and then another layer of
white that I embossed with the Tufted EF.

I used a couple of flowers from the Tea Together set and
I colored them with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used Real Red in for the roses.

I used a small piece of the Wood Grain DSP.
The leaves are cut with Pear Pizzazz and a die from the Wonderful
Floral Framelits.
I added some twine first that I wrapped in circles and used a glue dot to hold in place.
The other elements are added to the card with dimensionals.

I finished with a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I have another Floral Romance card to share.
Over at the  SIP Challenge it is Designer's Choice.

I absolutely love this set with it's matching dies.
The dies are almost better than the stamp set, there are some really nice dies with this set.
A must have in my opinion.
I begun by stamping my image and water coloring.
I die cut it out and I also stamped and colored a few extra flowers.

The base of the card is Thick Whisper White and I cut and embossed anoher piece of whie using the Tufted EF.
I die cut the "trellis" piece with Pear Pizzazz card stock.

The sentiment piece is another die in this set.

I added a twine bow and a few rhinestones to finish it up.

Thank you for coming by!

Happy Birthday

Happy  Tuesday Peeps!!

this week they have a great sketch challenge for us.

I love a good sketch with plenty of layers!

I began by stamping and coloring my main image. I comes from the Wonderful Romance stamp set and it has matching dies. I love that it not only cuts out the image but also some select pieces within the image.
Also in this die set is the die that cuts the piece my floral image is mounted on.

I colored my flowers using Calypso Coral and the leaves are colored using Wild Wasabi ink.

The base of my card is Thick Whisper White and then
next another piece of white that I embossed with the Subtle EF

The DSP on here are from the Butterfly Gala pack, I mounted both of these onto some Basic Black card stock.

I then used another piece of Basic Black for the horizontal piece. I used the scallop edge die in he Be Mine Framelits along the bottom edge.

I mounted the floral image to the circle piece with dimensionals and added it to the card with more dimensionals.

My sentiment is one I had already stamped in my stash, no sure the set it was from.
I added it to the card with more dimensionals.
I stamped and colored  the flowers in the image again and cut them out to add over the base flower.

I finished up with little basic pearls in the center of the flowers and three pretty little sticky sequuins from the Gingham Gala Sequins pack.

Thanks for coming by today!

You've Been on My Mind

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Over at Just Us Girls  Challenge
it is photo week.

Highland Heather is such a pretty color and was my choice for this card.

I used the image from the All That You Are stamp set.
I stamped with black stazon and
colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used Heather Highland and Wild Wasabi with a bi of Daffodil Delight.

I fussy cut the floral image out, selectively eliminating a few pieces, and sit it aside.
My base is Highland Heather, as is the embossed panel. I used the Basket weave EF .

I die cut a piece of DSP from the Wood Grains pack to use for my flower base piece.
I used a die from the Wonderful Floral  Framelits.
It is a bit obscured by the flower image.

I added some twine first and then the flower piece.

My sentiment comes from the Butterfly Gala set.

I used my Wink of Stella pen on the flowers,
I love the shimmer it gives but it never shows on camera.

I finished up with a few sticky sequins.

Thanks for taking a look.

Thinking of You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

My card today was one I made using a couple of challenges.

First up is the Just Add Ink  challenge, Embossing.

 and

My intention was to use the sketch and make a few "rainbow" colored flowers.
As you can see I strayed from that a bit, I even when off the rails as far as the sketch.
So not sure, not rainbow for sure and the sketch is there but.....

The flowers are stamped and colored with my aqua painter. I used Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight along with Wild Wasabi for the leaves.

The flowers are from the Tea Together Set and the sentiment comes from the Wonderful Romance set.
I embossed the Background piece using the Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder.
The piece of DSP is from the Classic Garage pack.

I finished up with a few sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequins
and rhinestones in the yellow flower centers.

Thanks for coming by!

It is a Clean and Simple challenge as well.

This may not be as CAS as they want, I never know....I do one I think is and then am told it is not.

Anyway, I made this one wih the same colors as my last one.
I like the combo of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.
I used the Dandelion Wishes set for this one.

Happy Friday Peeps!!

has a great sketch this week.

I love sketches that give you wide open spaces to do with as you please.

I stamped the floral image from the Climbing Rose set to use for my top image.
I colored using Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz inks with my Aqua Painter.
I added a bit of "blue sky" around my Roses with some Balmy Blue ink.

The bottom is a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that I embossed with the Basket Weave EF.
I matted this with a piece of Melon Mambo card stock.

My sentiment piece is made up of three die cuts of the "Thanks" glued together.

The die maker is unknown to me, I have had the die for a long time, but it is no longer in it's original packaging so I am not sure where it is from

I added it to the base with some glue and a few little dimensionals.

I finished it up with a few basic rhinestones.

I have had a busy week, working out of town two days
and then a short trip to help with the grand babies check up appointments.
I am tired today! LOL!!

Over at the SIP challenge they have a fun challenge this week.

I love crumb cake with soft suede, so that was what I went with.

I off stamped them once to get a lighter image for the leaves and flower heads.
I stamped the dots with Soft Suede.

The sentiment is from the Climbing Rose set and is stamped with Soft Suede as well.

I added a small strip of DSP across the bottom of the image panel and added a twine bow.

I used Crumb Cake for my base and followed that with a piece of Soft Suede. I then used the Tufted EF on another piece of Crumb Cake.
I then added my image piece and another piece of Soft Suede at opposite tilts. They are added with dimesionals.

Happy Birthday

 Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Sorry for being MIA for a couple of days.
Life gets busy, I spent some time with the grand babies and also cutting out a new quilt pattern that I have to get made before Mother's Day for a family member.

I have a hard time splitting my time between sewing and stamping. I tend to get caught up with just one and totally ignore the other. I am working on that.

anyway......on to my card
I made this card with a couple of challenges in mind.

First up is my loose interpretation of this week's Freshly Made Sketches

AND
I stamped the image from the stamp set All That You Are on thick whisper white card stock with black stazon and colored with my water brush and inks.

I colored very lightly with Calypso Coral and leaves are Pear Pizzazz.
I then fussy cut it out. I added an extra flower to my stem.

Can you see the bones of the sketch here? I hope so, I can. LOL!

The base of my card is Thick Whisper white and then I Embossed
a piece of whisper white with the Basket Weave EF.
And a piece of DSP from the Gingham Gala to mat my Embossed piece.

I used one of the dies in he Wonderful Floral Framelit set and die cut with Vellum.
I added these to my card next to the flower and by the sentiment piece.

The sentiment comes from the same set and I stamped with Black Memento ink.
I added the floral image and sentiment to my card with dimensionals.

Thanks for coming by today.
