Sweet Sunday...Miss You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Time for another new Sweet Sunday Sketch Cahllenge.

Here is the sweet sketch we have for you this week:

I am using some more of my sneak peek items.

I love this stamp set called You've Got This.
Of course I am a huge fan of any flower stamps and ones that I can color are even better.
I used some of the New Watermelon Wonder ink to color this one. It is stamped with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I then colored it with my aqua painter and ink pad.

The DSP here is from the Neutrals stack.

My sentiment is made with Alphabet Rotary Stamp and alto not new, it is new to me.
I am a big fan of the label look which is popular now and this is perfect for it.

Be sure and head over to the Sweet Sunday Blog to see what the rest of the girls made with this fun sketch!

Crazy 4 Challenges......thankful for friends

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

It is time for another new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

This is the 5th Saturday of the month and the final challenge for this month is:

School is about out and vacations are either planned or being planned. What would be your ideal vacation spot? Beach, mountains, backyard? Whatever your destination is, let's create a card or project using it as your inspiration.

I decide to go with a time not a place for my vacation themed card.
I love fall so that was easy and this fall we are planning a trip back east to visit some friends, some friends I am privileged to know and whom I am thankful for.
So that is the inspiration for my vacation card.
I started by creating my fall tree, using the awesome Sheltering Tree stamp set.
I stamped the tree with Early Espresso ink onto some whisper white card stock. I then used
Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Real Red for the leaves.

The ground is stamped with Daffodil delight and then I "sprinkled" some leaves around the ground with the same above colors.
I stamped the rake and swing with Early Espresso ink as well.
The sentiment is a combo of a couple of stamps in this set. I just masked off and stamped the words I wanted, which is so easy with the photopolymer clear sets.
I rounded all the corners using the envelope punch board.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of white and some paper from the Neutrals DSP stack.
The small little yellow flags come from the Cherry on Top stack.
I tied some white twine around the bottom and added a small punched flower from the Itty Bitty pack and a pearl to the center.

Can't wait to see beautiful PA in the fall, Wendy this card is for you!!!

Be sure and head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to be inspired by the rest of the team!!!

Happy Stampin!!

Seize the Birthday.....Butterfly

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card using some of my new sneak peek goodies!

I am really loving this hostess set called Floral Wings, I have to admit I was a bit late jumping onto the bandwagon with the butterflies, but once I got my hands on those Butterflies Thinlits dies, it was all over.

This Floral Wing set is so pretty and I paired it with some new DSP this is from the Bohemian pack, The colors ......oh my!!!

I stamped the butterfly with some Rich Razzleberry ink onto whisper white and the flowers on the inside of the butterfly are made with the new in color Delightful Dijon and Old Olive for the leaves.
I fussy cut out the butterfly ad the die cut the Butterfly over the top using some vellum cardstock.

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry and both of the DSP's are from the Bohemian pack.

I added a bit of bling by using some of the glimmer paper.

The sentiment is from the Celebrate Today stamp set.

I am linking this card at Seize the Birthday for their Anything Goes Birthday:

I was inspired by of course the colors and the texture in the cupcake liners.
I started with a base of white and then a layer of  Wild Wasabi and then another layer of white that I embossed with the Woodgrain EF.

I added a white doily and then I cut a butterfly with one of the awesome Butterfles Thinlits, LOVE those so much
I then cut out four white spiral flowers and roiled them up. they are added to the card with glue dots.
I punched a few leaves using the Bird Builder punch and tucked them around. I used Wild Wasabi for the leaves.
The sentiment is stamped with Versamark onto some black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment comes from the Hello December stamp set, which is retired, I think, but I LOVE this little "hello"

Finished my butterfly off with a few basic rhinestones.

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the new Hostess set called Best Thoughts.
This is my favorite new set, so far!!

I really love this flower and I love coloring it!!
I hope you all don't get tired of seeing it, cos I am sure it will make an apperance every so often here on the ol blog!!!

I stamped the flower image onto some water color paper with Black Stazon ink. I then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used the new Watermelon Wonder and Garden Green for the leaves.
I shaded around the flower image using some Soft Sky ink.

The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake and then take note of the pretty DSP, both pieces, they are from the Neutrals stack. See that little banner at the top, that paper, oh my......love the handwriting on it. I will be hoarding that paper for sure, hence the little banner, I don't want to use it all up too fast!!! LOL!!!
The piece behind the image is some of the new Watermelon Wonder card stock.
You guys are gonna swoon over this!!!

Sweet Sunday....Birthday Cupcake

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

Here is the fun sketch this week:

I just got my new Stampin Up pre-order this week so I decided that the circle element in the sketch would be perfect for a cupcake from the new Sprinkles of Life stamp set.
This set has a matching punch and it is all soooooo fun!!!

I started my card with a base of my go to Crumb Cake card stock. I seem to gravitate towards this card stock more and more.
I then used a layer of white AND then next up is some fun NEW DSP called Cherry on Top.
It comes in a 6 x 6 pad. LOVE!!!
I used one of the finishing edgelits  die(I think it is retired) to cut my curve edged.
I slipped another piece of the Cherry on Top DSP under the top layer and decided to round the bottom corners. I know I'm a rebel......lol!

I made the cupcake by stamping the base with Early Espresso ink onto some Early Espresso cardstock.
I hand cut out this bottom piece and then used the punch to punch out the sparkly "frosting" to my cupcake using some glitter paper.
I stamped the candle and colored it and fussy cut it out and added it to the frosting.
The cupcake is added to the circle element with some dimensionals,
The sentiment comes for the new Build a Birthday stamp set.
I finished up my card with a few silver sequins.

Be sure and head over to the Sweet Sunday Blog
to see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch

Crazy 4 Challenges.....Sending Wishes

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for a new challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges. This week Barbara, our challenge hostess this month, has a "green" challenge for us:

May's birthstone is the emerald. Let your project strongly feature the color green this week. Any shade of green will do as long as it is the main color on your project.

I decided to pull out a neglected green (in my stash anyway). I do love the pretty mint color of this green, Pistachio Pudding. This is a retiring color and I wanted to use up some of my stash!

I used some of the Neutrals white card stock for my main image panel. I stamped the leaf from the Stampin Up Kinda Eclectic stamp set directly on the base and once onto some scrap to cut out and add over the piece.
I stamped a flower from the Petite Flowers in daffodil Delight and used the matching punch to punch it out. Love that the punch works so well with this set and makes it a quick process to get a flower cut out!
I stamped a butterfly and cut it out to add to my piece at the top corner.
The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Basics set and is stamped with Black Memento ink.
I added some DSP from the Typeset pack to the edges of my main panel and add the piece to the base with some dimensionals.

Here is a peek at the inside :

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to soak up some more "Green" goodness!

Happy Stampin!!!

Just For You.......Floral Wings

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today is the start of the much awaited (for many) kick off of the Summer.
It is a big three day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend. Not for me, I work,, but will be off most of Sunday, working a very early shift, and all day Monday, so let's get it going!!!

I wanted to share with you this card I made using my new Stampin Up goodies
this set was at the top of my list, it is a new Hostess only set called Floral Wings.

I knew right away that I wanted to use the Hardwood BG stamp and run the vines up the side.
I used one of the new incolors for my base and for the BG piece. It is the new Tip Top Taupe. I LOVE this color and can see a new love affair starting!!
I stamped the Hardwood BG using the Tip Top Taupe ink.
I then used another new incolor, CucumberCrush to stamp the vines.

The flowers are stamped with another new incolor Watermelon Wonder. I fussy cut them out and added them around the vines.

The Butterfly is stamped ontos some Whisper White with Crumb Cake ink.
I used the same colors for the flowers and leaves as I did for the vine and flowers.
The sentiment is stamped onto Whisper White with Watermelon and I hand cut the ends and curled it a bit.
I added the sentiment to the base with some dimensionals.
I added some rhinestones down the center of the butterfly and to the flower centers.
Love the feel and the look of the colors of this card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Freshly Made Sketches......Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another card I made yesterday while playing with my new catalog goodies!

This one uses the sketch challenge this week on the Freshly Made Sketches blog.

I was excited to see this new stamp set available to us in the Sneak Peek,
it is called Build a Birthday and I had been wanting a set with candles!
You can use the candles turned sideways to build a cake or stack of presents.
So many possibilities with this set.

I, of course, had to make some candles first up. I stamped my candles ontos some scrap whisper white using Bermuda Bay and two of the new incolors, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.
I fussy cut them out and set them aside to build the rest of my card.
I  made tag using the scallop tag topper punch and stamped the sentiment using Black Memento ink.
The sentiment comes in one line in the set but since this is a clear photopolymer set it is easy to stamp them they way I did on here.

I stamped the flames using some Daffodil Delight ink and fussy cut them out and added to the candles. I used just a bit of Pumpkin Pie ink and my aqua painter to color the center of the flames.
The candles are added to the tag with some dimensionals.
The base of the the card is Pool Party and the DSP is from the new Cherry on Top paper stack.

I added a few stars at the top of the base, they are from a stamp in the Be The Star stamp set.
I added the tag to the card base with some dimensionals as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Happy Stampin!

You're in my Thoughts

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today was a bit of a rainy, dreary day in Southwest MO and I was off work. To top it off I had just gotten a few things from the new Stampin Up catalog that demos are able to pre-order and I was anxious to color this beauty!!

This stamp is from the Hostess set called Best Thoughts. I had several ideas about what colors I could use for this flower and one of them was not what I eventually went with. Not really sure why but I pulled out my Crushed Curry ink pad? But and after stamping with black stazon onto some water color paper I begun to color with my aqua painter. After coloring it all in with the Crushed Curry I pulled out my Tangerine ink pad to add some more colors.

The leaves  and the stem are colored with some Pear Pizzazz ink.
The photos really do not do this flower justice, it is soooo much prettier IRL!
I am sure you all will be seeing this flower again and again in different colors. I really am seriously IN LOVE with it!!

I used some Naturals white card stock for my base and
then I matted the flower image with Crushed Curry card stock.
I used a strip of DSP from the Cherry on Top pack.
The sentiment is from the same Best Thoughts stamp set and I used
Memento Black ink to stamp it.
I added a few little rhinestones and called it done!
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Stampin!!!

Paper Players.....Thank You

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

This week it is a Clean and Simple Girly Thank You.

I decided to pull out a fave set that is retiring soon. Pleasant Poppies is a much loved stamp set of mine and I will be sad when it is gone.
I have colored these poppies many colors over the course time, but I am pretty sure I had not done an orange/yellow combo.
I used Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight.
I stamped the image onto some Naturals White card stock with black stazon and used my aqua painter to color them up.

I used some Wild Wasabi ink for the stems.
The thank you comes from the Painted Petals stamp set.
I then added my lines around the image using the Project Life Black Journaling Pen.
I tied a bit of twine around the bottom and called it done.

It is girly don't you think?
I love the flowers!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stampin!!!!

Sweet Sunday.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is time for a new sketch challenge over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog.

Here is the sweet sketch we have for you this week:

I love this one, it is so up my alley, all those layers and banners, OH MY!!!
I decided to use my Stampin Up Choose Happiness stamp set, this is one I have had for a bit and had not inked up. It is such a lovely set, not sure what I was waiting for. :)
I started by coloring my flowers. I used my markers and used Real Red and Cherry Cobbler and a bit of Daffodil Delight for the centers. You know, after studying these flowers I think they very much resemble a Marigold, so you may see these soon in a pretty orange/gold combo.
I colored the leaves with some Wild Wasabi and Garden Green Markers.
I fussy cut them all out and added them to the small front square. The flowers are on dimensionals and the leaves are tucked around and glued down.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then a layer of Early Espresso. The next is a piece of naturals White and I used the Sunburst type stamp from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in the middle of this piece. I also stamped the little dots from the same set across the bottom. I used Crumb Cake ink that I stamped off once before stamping onto the card stock.
The small strip across the bottom is Early Espresso and I used the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set to build my sentiment. I used Versamark ink and then embossed with white embossing powder.
I added a few gold sequins and tucked in the bird from the choose Happiness stamp set. The small banners are Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso cardstock.

Be sure and head over to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog to see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch. We would love for you to join us and if you do please link up your card over on the Sketch Blog.

Sending "blue" Wishes Your Way

Hello Peeps!!

I have another card to share with you today.
This one I made using the color challenge  at the Paper Players, sadly I missed out on be able to link it up there. That is alright, I am still happy to share it with ya'll!!!

The colors for the challenge was Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding and Lost Lagoon.

I decide to try my hand at some Lost Lagoon  "blue" flowers.
I stamped the flower from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto some Naturals Ivory card stock using my Black Stazon ink pad.
I colored up the image using my aqua painter and ink pads.
I then made the crazy decision to hand cut out this image. LOL!!
It wasn't too hard to do, mmmm yea NOT to bad at all!!!
I then set it aside to make the rest of the card.
The base is Sahara Sand card stock and then I used another layer of Sahara to stamp the Hardwood BG onto. I used Sahara Sand ink for that.
I also stamped some leaves from the Butterfly Basic set using the Sahara ink as well.
I added a small piece of doily to the bottom corner and sponged a bit of Sahara ink onto the doily.

I added the flower image with some dimensionals. I tied some twine around the bottom and added a vintage vanilla button.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Naturals card stock using Lost Lagoon ink. I hand cut the flag end, curled it a bit and glue it onto the card, tucking it under the edge of a bit of the flower leaves.
I stamped three butterflies one form the Butterfly Basics set and two from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I cut these out and added them to the panel, I tucked one down by the button.
I added some basic pearls to the butterfly centers.

I then matted this piece with some more of the Naturals ivory cardstock and glued it all to the base.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy 4 Challenges....thinking of you

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges Barbara has a great sketch for us!

This sketch features a large center panel that is titled, I love that!
I had held out for so long getting this amazing set, Sheltering Tree.
What was I waiting for?????
I love it, a tree for all seasons will be easy to accomplish with this set.
I decide to go with a beautiful spring/summer tree.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock, I followed that up with a layer of Naturals cardstock that I stamped with the Hardwood BG stamp. I used Crumb Cake ink. I love this BG stamp it is a must have in my opinion!
I stamped the tree with Early Espresso ink, and the leaves are stamped with Wild Wasabi ink.
The ground is Wild Wasabi as well.
I then added in the flowers, using a variety of colors, real red, pumpkin pie, melon mambo and daffodil delight.
I added the sentiment at the bottom leaving the circle element to the side for my pretty flower piece.
I made my flower using Real Red ink and the Petite Petals stamp set, the matching punch makes it easy to cut out. I stamped the flower again with Wild Wasabi for my leaves. The center is a daffodil candy dot. I could spend a day or two under this tree for sure!
Be sure and head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to be inspired by the rest of the girls!

FMS......Hooray! Happy Day!

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

I had some time this afternoon to play a bit, so I took a peek at the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I took a quick look around at my stamps and pulled out this fun set called Cheerful Critters, I had just got it a week or so ago and thought it would be cute for the circle element in the sketch.

You all know that I enjoy watercoloring and this cute little critter is perfect for it.
I stamped the image onto some Naturals card stock with Black Stazon ink and colored lightly with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used some Crumb Cake ink for the critter and then used some Garden Green and Island Indigo for the stripes on the shirt. I used some Crisp Cantaloupe for the inside of the ears and a bit for some blush on the cheeks. I used just a bit of Crushed Curry over the muzzle. The sentiments come form this same set and I added the two,  so easy to line up with the clear set. The sentiments in this set are so fun. I cut out the little critter with a circle die and set it aside to make my base.

The base of the card is Island Indigo and then a layer of the Naturals card stock.
I then used another layer of Island Indigo and the Stars decorative mask (stencil) and some modeling paste. I spread the paste through the stars on the stencil and then sprinkled on some diamond dust to add some fun sparkle. The pic really doesn't capture the sparkle at all but it so pretty.
The bottom half of the star piece is some DSP from the All Abloom paper stack.
I added a strip of Garden Green card stock to divide the top and bottom half.
The circle is added to the base with some dimensionals.
The little flag banners are from the Celebrate Today stamp set and are stamped using Garden Green ink. I used the matching framelits to cut them out. They are also added with some dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stamping!!

Sweet Sunday.......Happy Blooming Birthday

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Here is the sweet sketch for this week:

Nothing like a tilted panel to make me perk up. I love me some tilted panels.
I started out with a base of Blackberry Bliss card stock and then a layer of white that is embossed with the random dots EF.
next is a layer of Blackberry Bliss and then the DSP on here is from the Moonlight paper pad.

I created the main focal element with more white that I punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
My leaves are cut with a sizzix die from some retired DSP .
My big ol beautiful bloom is one I salvaged from another project that was not coming together so I saved the flower.
It is from the Stampin Up Hey There Bud single stamp. I stamped it a couple of times with Blackberry Bliss ink and then cut it out and layered it up with a few dimensionals to get the bloom I wanted.
I added a small bud from the same stamp as well.

The sentiment is from the Flower Patch stamp set. I stamped it with Blackberry Bliss ink.
The pretty little butterflies come from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I stamped three with Daffodil Delight and cut them out. I added them to the card with a bit of glue and added a few little pearls down the centers of each.
Well, thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stampin!!

Crazy 4 Challenges.....Teacher Thank You

Happy Saturday Peeps!
Time for a new challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog.

This week's challenge is:
School will be letting out here in the US soon, let's make a teacher appreciation card and actually USE it. If you don't need it for yourself, gift it to someone who does.

Going a bit old school with my card this week.
I will never tire of this retired set , Stampin Up's Greeting Card Kids.
I pulled it out to make my Teacher Appreciation card.

The image is stamped onto some Vanilla cardstock and watercolored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I cut the kiddos out and added them to the circle which is some paper from the retired Storytime paper pack. All of the DSP on here is from that pack. I love it.
The little "thank you" is from the Lotus Blossom stamp set. I hand cut a apple to add it to.
I tied on some red bakers twine and added a small black library clip. To finish it up are a few red candy dots.
Be sure and head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to be inspired by the rest of the girls.

The sentiment is from the same set and also stamped with crumb cake ink.
I then die cut a pretty butterfly using the Stampin Up Butterfly thinlits die and Lost Lagoon card stock.
I glued the butterfly onto the crumb cake piece and added a few rhinestones down the middle.

Paper Players...Be the Star

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Popping in here to share a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players Blog.

The challenge is to use some form of transportation.

I didn't have much to use for this one, but remembered I had a few if these motorcycle images from the Stampin Up Rev Up the Fun stamp set.
I pulled one out to use for this fun card.
The image is stamped with black and colored with some daffodil delight and smoky slate ink.

The base of the card is Smoky slate and then a layer of Silver Foil paper. On that is a layer of Basic Gray that I embossed with the stars EF.
Next is the motorcycle image cut with a circle die and then layered onto some daffodil delight that is die cut with an inverted scallop die. I added this to the main piece with some dimensionals.
Next is the DSP layer which comes from the Moonlight paper stack and is matted with more daffodil delight.
I added two small flags, one cut from silver foil and the other with daffodil delight.
The little sentiment is from the Be the Star stamp set.

Well, that is all from me for now
Thanks for stopping by!
