Cheer Up

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Today I have a card to share that I made using the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.

This is their very last challenge.

I decided to do a fun card using the Spirited Snowmen set.

I began by stamping the  jumping snowman with black stazon onto some thick whisper white card stock.
I colored the image with my waer brush and ink pads.
I used pacific point, chocolate chip and a bit of black.

I covered him sparkle with my wink of stella pen. I then fussy cut him out and set  aside.

I then stamped my sentiment using part of the winter cheer sentiment from this set and the "up" comes from the Lift me Up stamp set.

I used the scattered sequins embossing folder lining it up to avoid my sentiment.

I then added the little snowman with a few dimensionals.

I added a small strip of DSP to the side
and matted the piece with some basic black cardsock.

The base of the card is thick whisper white as well.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Shaker Fun

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I am back home after spending a few days with family,
the grandbabies make my heart soooo happy!!

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas,
doing what makes you most happy and with those that mean the most to you.

Onto my card for today.

I have seen a few shakers lately and decided to try my hand at a couple again.
Before I was never happy with my endeavors, but I watched a couple of videos and it helped, I am such a visual learner.

I used the Crazy About You stamp set for my flowers. I love that set.

The DSP is from a retired pack.
The sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I just used some red and gold sequins that I had on hand for my shaker ingredients.

Lots of foam tape was used to form the shaker portion and to add it to the base of the card.
I used thick whisper white card stock for my base and the shaker layer.

This card could be a nice Valentine card or even just for a person who is special to you, or even a Thank You for something nice done for you.

Thanks for coming by today.

With All My Heart

Happy Christmas Eve, Peeps!!!

Today I have a quick card share.

I made this card using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I wanted to do something besides Christmas.
So, I pulled out my Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I stamped a few flowers using Real Red and die cut them out.
I decided o go with a black and white card and use my red flowers for a punch of color.

I stamped the leaves and stems with Pear Pizzazz  ink onto my whisper white oval. I added the flowers to the piece with some dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Nothing Sweeter stamp set.

Treats for Co-Workers

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

I can't believe that Christmas is almost here, this month has flown by.

December is a busy month for so many, and that is no exception here.
I finished up and delivered most of my goodie trays to family, friends and neighbors yesterday.

I also was able to finally finish the little treats I give my co-workers this week as well.

I snapped a few quick pics

I just got a few Russell Stover candies and put them in bags and made some quick tag toppers.

I used a bunch of retired DSP and the
Making Christmas Bright stamp set and matching punch.

These are some Hershey Nuggets that I packaged up.

All the DSP on them are from the Santa's Workshop paper.
I die cut the little elves and Mrs. Claus from the paper as well.

These are super easy to make!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Ornament Packaging

Hello Peeps!!

Popping in here quickly to show you a couple of small gift boxes I whipped up to hold a couple of little ornaments I found at Target this year.

I used the envelope punch board to make theses.

I do have to say I wasted a few sheets of cardsock figuring out the right size, I need to use some cheap paper when experimenting. But anyway!! LOL!!

I figured out after making one that I needed a way to close my little box and decided a belly band would be the best choice.

I used the Sweetly Stitched Framelits for the tree and star.

All the DSP is from the All is Bright pack.

The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.
You can see the cute little ornament in the above and below pic.

Enjoy the Warmth of the Season

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

I have another Christmas card to share today.

This one using the sketch this week at Fab Friday.

and the challenge at Inspired By Challenge:

I was inspired by the wood grain of the sleds and wall and the Winter Season

What a great sketch and inspiration photo,  perfect for my handmade "Snow Globe"

I used some of the images from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

The base of the card is thick whisper white card stock. I then used a piece of DSP from the Wood
Textures pack.
The other piece of DSP is from the Festive Farmhouse pack.

I added a bit of twine across the DSP and tied a bow.
The little house is stamped with cherry cobbler and gray ink for the roof.
The trees are stamped with old olive.
I added a few basic rhinestones to finish it up.

Gifts for Friends

Today I wanted to share a little plaque I made for a friend.

She received earlier this week so it is safe to show you now.

I know my pic is not he best, but I didn't take anymore before mailing.

It was super easy to make.
I got a blank frame piece at Target.
It was already painted red with the black background.

We found the Grinch saying and my daughter cut the stencil.

My friend loves the Grinch so I thought his would be perfect for her.

I applied mod podge and then several coats of the paint and peeled up the sticky back stencil.

I thought it turned out great.

Here are a couple of more I made.

The buffalo plaid background was hand painted and was a bit challenging at first, but once figured out, was easy peasy!

Back to the kitchen for me, more candy and cookies to make today!

Have a great day!

Enjoy the Warmth of the Season

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I got a few minutes to stamp yesterday and I whipped up his card using the sketch this week at

The Many Mittens Framelits and Matching Smitten Mittens stamp set was one I got last year and had NEVER used, however the stamp set has gone MIA, it is no where to be found, I spent forever looking for it last week, to no avail!

Anyway I pulled out the framelits to use for this card.

I used  whisper white base and then a layer of real red.
I embossed another piece of white using the basket weave EF.

I used some red twine for the corner elements in the sketch.

I die cut the mittens with real red card stock and die cut the white backing with another framelit in the set.

I mounted the mittens to the woodgrain DSP using dimensionals.

Even tho my stamp set is gone, I found a perfect sentiment in the Hearts come Home set.

I added the wood panel piece to the card with dimensionals, as well.

I finished up with a baker's twine bow and a couple of rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday Peeps!!

I am about done with all my Christmas crafting and I had a request for an anniversary card so I took some time yesterday to work this one up.

I used the sketch this week at Sunday Stamps for the start of my card.

Also the challenge this week at The Flower Challenge

This flower stamp is, while still in the current catalog,
is an older one I have.

I used a favorite flower stamp Petal Palette.
I stamped the flower image onto some thick whisper white card stock.
I used my water brush and ink pads to color the flower and leaves
I used Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz ink pads.

I used the matching dies to cut out the flower piece.

I die cut a circle to mount the flowers onto.

The sentiment is from the Bouquet Bunch stamp set.
I love the pretty font in this set.

The DSP I used is from a retired pack.
The base of the card is thick whisper white card stock.

I added some white bakers wine and bow to my side piece.

I finished up with just a scattering of rhinestones.

Postings here may be a bit fewer til after Christmas,
today starts my Holiday Baking and candy making marathon.

I do have a couple more Christmas cards, treats and tags to share and hopefully I will have time to blog those.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Making Spirits Bright

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a I made using the sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.

Well, it was my inspiration and this is what you
get when try to you make the card from memory.

I didn't look back at the sketch until I was almost done
and mine is not an exact match, but close.

My card base is Real Red and the DSP on here is from the All is Bright pack.
I matted he green DSP piece with some Call Me Clover card stock.

I love the traditional colors in this pack.
Frankly I have been pretty obsessed with the Detailed Deer Thinlits,
that I have neglected my other stamps, this snow man set in paticuliar.

Spirited Snowmen is the name of the set, and I have barely used it.
I stared by stamping this guy onto some scrap thick whisper white card stock using black stazon.
I used my Wink of Stella and ink pads to color him.
He has such a shimmer, it is cute IRL, but doesn't show in my pic.

I fussy cut him out and added him to my die cut circle with a few dimensionals.
The Circle is also added to the card wih dimesionals
The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.
I added a red twine bow and a few little rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by today!

Joy in Black

Hello and Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I m sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I again am using the Detailed Deer Thinlits die for my card. I am so loving these deer dies, but I am sure you had already figured that out by now.
I guess I shouldn't be so attracted to them, we had what I am calling "a deer ambush" our car a couple of weeks ago.
People always say "I hit a deer", when actually the deer hit you.
We was driving home from my daughter's house on a back road and it leaped out of the ditch and right into the front of our car. Our 2 year old granddaughter was with us, but we were all fine, the car, didn't fair as well. But it is replaceable and I am so very grateful for no injuries and I was amazed how many people in a rural area on a back road even after dark stopped to check on us.
And very thankful for my daughter and son-in-law who came to rescue us.
The deer was thick that evening, I had never seen so many out and about as we did that evening.

Anyway, back to my card!!

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and then I embossed another piece of Vanilla with the Sequin EF and added that to the base.

The Music sheet DSP is from a retired pack.
I used some Black glitter paper to die cut my deer.

I added it to the main panel using some dimensionals.

I die cut a snowflake with Vellum using a die in the SnowFall Thinlets set.
I added it behind the sentiment circle.

The "Joy" comes from the Snow is Glistening set.
I added a few little red rhinestones around the deer for a pop of color.

What do you think do you like Black for Christmas?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Joy

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the
Snowfall Thinlits and the Snow is Glistening stamp set.

I held out getting these but I am so glad I did snag them up.

The dies are so nice and the snowflakes are just the best!

My card is pretty simple and straightforward. I used Nigh of Navy for the base.

I then used another piece of navy that I embossed with  the Sequins EF and then mated that with some whisper white.

The snowflakes and little stars are all cut from Whisper White card stock as well.

I mounted the layers of snowflakes together using dimensionals between each one.

The sentiment is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set. I stamped using Real Red.
I added a red rhinestone to the center of the snowflake.

I am linking this card at Inkspirational Challenges

Anything Christmas
