Happy Birthday

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a  a retired set called Crazy About You.

I love his single flower in the set and have held onto it just for that flower

I used the challenges this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and Seize the Birthday
to get my card started.

I love a black and white card with a pop of color.

I used another retired favorite, Wisteria Wonder, for my color pop.
I did sneak in just a bit of Pear Pizzazz for my three little leaves.

The base of my card is thick whisper white and I used a black and white striped piece of DSP from the Neutrals DSP that is also retired, I guess the key work on my card is "retired"....hey, I say use it up!

I matted the DSP with some basic black and glued it directly to my base.

The white die cut piece is added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped with Black Memento ink and is from the Southern Serenade stamp set.

I decided to add the  black flag piece after the card was mostly put together, so I just tucked the two pieces under the edge of the die cut and glue them down.

I finished with a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for taking a look.

Shaker Fun

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I am back home after spending a few days with family,
the grandbabies make my heart soooo happy!!

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas,
doing what makes you most happy and with those that mean the most to you.

Onto my card for today.

I have seen a few shakers lately and decided to try my hand at a couple again.
Before I was never happy with my endeavors, but I watched a couple of videos and it helped, I am such a visual learner.

I used the Crazy About You stamp set for my flowers. I love that set.

The DSP is from a retired pack.
The sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I just used some red and gold sequins that I had on hand for my shaker ingredients.

Lots of foam tape was used to form the shaker portion and to add it to the base of the card.
I used thick whisper white card stock for my base and the shaker layer.

This card could be a nice Valentine card or even just for a person who is special to you, or even a Thank You for something nice done for you.

Thanks for coming by today.

Freshly Made sketches.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

What a fun sketch, I had a blast with this one.

I started with a base of Thick Whisper White card stock.

I then used a piece of DSP from the Neutrals pad, then another layer of thick whipser white card stock.

For one of the two circle elements of the sketch I first just cut a small white circle and used a stencil and some Soft Sky ink. I then cut another circle using some basic black card stock.
I then cut a small strip of gold glimmer paper to lay across between the two circle elements.

Next up is my fave element, the flower of course.

I stamped the flower from the Crazy About You stamp set three times with Calypso Coral.
I fussy cut out and layered it up cutting away a layer of petals each time.
I stacked the layers together using some dimensionals.
I stamped the leaves using some Pear Pizzazz and fussy cut them out as well.
I used a couple of glue dots to attach the leaves to the glimmer paper and then more dimensionals to attach the flower.
I used a enamel dot in the center of the flower.

The sentiment comes from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday...happy birthday

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is our fab sketch this week;

This is a weekend of celebration in my household, it is my wedding Anniversary, 39 years and on the very same day it is our daughters birthday, she turned 29 this year. Yes she was born on our 10th Anniversary. How cool is that?

So this is the card I made for her birthday, she is a pink lover and I am a flower lover so I just went with it!

The flower is made from the Stampin Up Crazy About You stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set, as is the sqiggly line below it.
I made a bit of a smudge when stamping my sentiment, so I covered it up with s little perfect dot., can't even see it now huh?

Be sure and head over to the Sweet Sunday Blog to see what the rest of the girsl did with this fun sketch!

The Card Concept....We are BACK

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

The Card Concept Challenge is back from our Summer break.

We have a great challenge to kick us off: Daisies

Here is the inspiration photo:

I loved the colors and flowers in this piece so that was where I drew my inspiration .

I started with a base of white and then a layer of Pool Party card stock. I then embossed another piece of white with the Brick Wall EF.

I used my Oval Thinlits with Pool Party and White card stock
The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

I made my pretty yellow flower using the Crazy About You stamp set.
I stamped it three times using Daffodil Delight onto whisper white card stock and fussy cut it out.
I layered it up and added a pretty pearl in the center.
The leaves come from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set. I stamped them with Wild Wasabi ink and cut out and added them around the flower.
I tucked in a bit of silver thread and a few Perfect Accents finish it up.

Freshly Made Sketches.....thank you

Hello Peeps!!!

Popping in her quickly to share a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

I love this sketch and you all know I had to use a flower for that circle element!!!

I pulled out a fave set at the moment, the Stampin Up Crazy About You. I have been obsessed with it lately! That layered flower just makes me happy!!

I started with a base of the new thick Whisper White card stock. I then pulled out my Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack and decided to use a Smoky Slate piece.

I then stamped my flower using Blackberry Bliss ink onto some regular whisper white card stock three times. I then fussy cut it out and layered it up with some dimensionals. I stamped the leaf image twice with old olive and cut it out as well

The thank you sentiment comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set.
I added a Perfect Accent dot to the middle of my flower

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Another Card Set

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a set of four cards I whipped up yesterday.
I had no paticular reason in mind for these but once I made the first one the rest just called out to be made!

These two are the first ones I made, I had the idea to use the flower from the Remarkable You stamp set and the stem and leaves from the You've Got this stamp set and so that was my starting point.
I stamped a couple of the flower heads onto some Naturals Ivory card stock and water colored using Calypso Coral ink. The leaves are in Old Olive ink.

I then fussy cut both out and glued the flower head to the stem.

I knew I wanted to make a square card so I cut another piece of the ivory card stock to mount the flowers on.

The DSP I used on both sets are from the Pretty Petals stack.
The sentiments are from the Endless Thanks, the Petite Pairs set and the Endless Birthday set.

These two are made using the Crazy About You Stamp set.

I stamped the flower three times, for each card, with Calypso Coral so I could cut them out and layer up, The leaves are stamped with Old Olive.

I fussy cut it all out and layered up the flowers with dimensionals between the layers.
The flower is glued directly to the ivory square

I tucked the leaves under the flowers and glued.
I stamped all the sentiments using Black Memento ink.
The only embellishment on these are a candy dot in Calypso in the middle of the flowers.

I even tried my hand at making my own envelope. I used some retired DSP and the envelope punch board. So fun!

Freshly Made Sketches......hello

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!
Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started of my card with a base of Pool Party cardstock, this is such an awesome color it is sooooo sooooo pretty!! Why don't I use it more, it is almost like I had forgot how pretty it is.
I paired it with the "Crazy About You" stamp set and when I stamped the flower from that set with Daffodil Delight and laid it with the Pool Party....BINGO!!! Love that combo!

The next layer is another piece of Pool Party that I embossed with the Dtylish Stripes EF.
I then used a piece of DSP from the Neutrals Pack in Basic Black
I wrapped the piece up and over the top of the embossed piece.
I had cut the flag look into the DSP. I have that Banner Punch on my wish list but haven't gotten it yet.

I stamped three of the flower with Daffodil ink and then cut them out and layered them up using a dimensional between each layer.
I stamped two of the leaves from this same st using Wild Wasabi ink and fussy cut them out.
I arranged the leaves and the flower on my die cut circle and added the piece to the base with more dimensionals.
I die cut the hello using the Greeting Thinlits and some Basic Black cardstock.
I added this piece to my card using some pieces of dimensionals and some glue.
I finished it up with just one Basic Pearl in the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by today!
