Golden Leaves

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

How about we start out the week  with a Clean and Simple Fall Card!

I love the leaves in the Love of Leaves Bundle.
The Stitched Leaves Dies can make a pretty card all by themselves.
I die cut three of the leaves using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron card
stock.
Aren't they pretty?

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock and then I layered a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile EF. with Mint Macaron card stock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Autumn Goodness set before using the Embossing Folder.
I used  Cajun Craze ink for the sentiment.

The pretty DSP is from the Gilded Autumn pack.

I finished my card with a double twine bow and one of the Acorn Trinkets.

Season's Greetings

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

How are you doing? Hanging tough, I hope!
It is hard, some days more than others.
Seems like there is little hope that it will change. Scary times and I worry
what the world will be like when my granddaughters are grown.

Making cards is what keeps me sane.
It keeps my mind occupied and not always thinking of
of the trouble of the world.

What do you do to take your mind off the state of the world right now?

For this card I took out a couple of older items, still current but not brand new.
I love the Holly Leaves with berries from the Christmas Gleaming set.
I used it quite a bit last year but hadn't yet this year.
What I have used is the pinecones, those dies are awesome, I love tucking a couple of the pinecones into my arrangements, I know you have seen me do that before but I just can't help myself.

The pine boughs come from the same dies as the pinecones, the Beautiful Boughs dies.
My sentiment is from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and is stamped with Real Red ink onto a stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I used DSP from the In Good Taste pack, the dark pine wood circle.
And one of my favorite pieces of DSP in the Occasions mini this gingham look paper from Tis the Season 6x6 pack. It is barely visible under the rest of the elements, but I know it is there..haha!!!

The background of my card is embossed with the Suble EF,
another favorite I can' seem to stop using.

I added a bow using the Red Braided Linen trim.

Finally I finished my using my Wink of Stella all over the Holly Leaves and berries.
Adds such a pretty shimmer.

Poinsettia Christmas

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I have another Poinsettia card to share.

This one is made with the same suite of products as yesterday's share however this
one is made with just the Poinsettia Dies.

I die cut the layers, twice of all three sizes for the large poinsettia with Real Red card stock.
Don't you love the impressions you get on the petals and leaves?
I die cut three of the leaves using Garden Green and the Pine leaves are die cut using Shaded Spruce card stock and come from the Beautiful Boughs Dies.

The pretty little poinsettias are die cut using Petal Pink card stock.

I die cut the little gold berries using Gold Foil Sheets as well as the center of the large Poinsettia.
The center of the small flowers are pieces cut from the gold berry stems.

The sentiment is stamped onto Thick Whisper White card stock and then embossed with the Dainty Diamonds EF.
I matted that piece with more Gold Foil paper.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Magic & Wonder

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another card made last month.
This is one of the first I made after receiving my
pre-order items.
I love the Poinsettia Place Suite of products.
It is classic and elegant, altho my card today has a rustic feel to it.
I also used the Beautiful Boughs Dies for making the pinecones.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake followed by Soft Suede and a piece of DSP from the Suite, Poinsettia Place DSP

I stamped my flower layers and leaf images with Black Stazon ink on thick Whisper White card stock and colored with my Water Painter.

The berries was also stamped and colored the same way.
I used Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow ink pads.

I fussy cut out my petals and leaves,
I used my Black Stampin Blend around the edges of
the petals and leaves to cover the white edges.

I used some of the Braided Linen Trim to loop around under the poinsettia.
The leaves and Berries were tucked in and around.

The pine cones are die cut using Soft Suede and Crumb Cake card stock, then tucked under the bottom of the flower.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Warm Wishes

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

This week I have a few Christmas cards to share.
This is one I made last month.

It is funny how something you do or see can bring back a flood of memories.
Poinsettias always remind me of my Mom. She loved them and at Christmas they were everywhere in our house. On the tree, in the swags on the stairs and porch and in all the floral arrangements.
Mom has been gone 20 years this month and I miss her so much.

Anyway on to my card:

I used the Arrange a Wreath dies, Poinsettia Dies and the tiny flowers are
punched from the Confetti Flowers Border Punch.

The Wreath is die cut with Garden Green card stock and Old Olive card stock.

I layered several of the die cut wreaths together and then made the flowers.

I die cut the small poinsettias three times for each flower.  I layered them together alternating the petals.
The yellow center is also punched from the Confetti Flower Border Punch.
I added a small pearl to the centers of the Poinsettias.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I embossed another piece of Crumb Cake with the Brick & Mortar EF and matted it with
Whisper White.

Next is a layer of Real Red and the Scallop Stitched Rectangle is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

My sentiment comes from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set, stamped with Black Memento ink and die cut with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I used my Wink of Stella pen all over the wreath for added glimmer.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Beautiful Day of Blue Sunflowers

Happy Friday Peeps!!

We've made it through another week!
What are your weekend plans?
I think a little road trip might be in our plans and definitely some more
stampin!!!!

Do you love the Blue and White Sunflowers?
I saw this technique demonstrated by another blogger, I can't seem to find it now or even remember  if it was on Youtube or a Facebook live or what??

Anyway I wanted to try it:
Stamp the flower image, from Celebrate Sunflowers, with Night of Navy on Misty Moonlight card stock and color with white craft ink.

The demo I watched used a Blender Pen but mine are dried out so I used my water Painter and it worked fine.

I love the look and this would work with any dark color, like Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow or even black.
But blue is one of my favorite colors so it gets my vote!

I keep the card fairly simple so as to show off the pretty flowers.

I embossed the Misty Moonlight panel with the Tasteful Textures EF after finishing coloring the flowers.
I mounted the flower panel to another layer of Misty Moonlight and then mounted that to my Thick
Whisper White card sock base.

The sentiment I used here comes from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set.
I stamped it with Night of Navy ink and hand cut the flag end.
I curled it a bit and added it to the card with dimensionals.

I finished up with a few pearls and a white twine bow.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

More Fall Flowers

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I have another card made with the flowers I colored over the weekend using the Tasteful Touches stamp set.

I love these flowers,  they color up so pretty.
I used my blends when coloring these. I stamped with Black Memento Ink onto thick
whisper white. I used Highland Heather combo pack, Cherry Cobbler combo pack and Pumpkin Pie combo pack along with Daffodil Delight for the centers.

When I saw the sketch at the Global Design Project I thought I could use some of the flowers I had already colored up for my interpretation of their sketch:

I decided to use Basic Gray as my backdrop for the brightly colored fall flowers, the neutral BG really makes the flowers pop, I think.

I used the Dainty Diamonds EF and my White craft ink pad to create one of the layers.
I gently rubbed the EF with the white craft ink pad before embossing the Basic Gray panel.
It looks so pretty right? Almost like a sheet of DSP.
I matted this layer with Whisper White card stock.

The sentiment on here comes from the Daisy Lane stamp set. I stamped it with Basic Gray ink.

The flowers are added around the sentiment piece with dimensionals

The leaves I used are from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set.

Fall Welcome Wreath

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today's card share is another one I made this past weekend
 during my Fall crafting marathon!

I used the Wreath Builder dies for this one and there is actually no stamping on it, just lots of die cutting.

I die cut the wreath using Early Espresso, Crumb cake and Mossy Meadow.

I die cut my "sunflowers" using Crushed Curry and Early Espresso for the centers.
Each flower consist of 2 die cuts in Crushed Curry and 2 in Early Espresso.
I layered them together and glued.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock and then a layer of Very Vanilla that I embossed with the Pinewood Planks EF.

I added the Early Espresso and Crumb Cake die cut wreaths to the Very Vanilla embossed piece wih glue.
I used the gold twine in the Wonders of the Season Ribbon Combo pack to weave around the wreath and o make a double loop bow.

I added the bow to the wreath with a glue dot.

I added the flowers to the wreath with dimensionals.

I used the wreath I die cut with the Mossy green and cut it apart to add leaves around the flowers.

I die cut my welcome sentiment using the Well Written Dies.
I die cut the welcome 3 times with Early Espresso cardstock that I had layered a piece of the adhesive sheets to the back. I stacked them up to give them more dimension.

I finished up with a few of the gold gilded gems.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Fall Flower thank you

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I needed a few customer thank you cards and decided to
go with a fall theme. I am all about wishing Fall to arrive early, hence all the Fall
cards I have been making.

This one uses the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

I have used the dies in this bundle a lot but had not used the flower at all!!

I know shocking.... a flower stamp I had not used, but when you stamp it, it is so dark I feared it would not color up well. I was wrong!

I also decided to use my blends for this, I have been investing in getting the Blends the last few
months and haven't really played with them much.
I am mainly a water colorist, it is my medium of choice and where I feel most comfortable.
But I figured if I am buying the Blends I need to use them right?
I did find out I have a heavy hand and may have messed up a couple of the Blends while doing these, I tend to push way to hard. But once I figured out a light touch is better it went well.

I started by stamping several of the flower images onto thick Whisper White with Black Memento ink.

I picked out several colors I thought would be pretty for Fall and stared coloring.

I used Cherry Cobbler, light and dark, Pumpkin Pie, light and dark and Daffodil Delight, light and dark for the ones here.
I did a few more in other colors that may turn up on another card soon, we'll see?

The ones here are my favorite that I colored. I did also use the Color Lifter Pen to lighten the highlight areas a bit on the darkest ones.

I really think they turned out so pretty, can't go wrong with Fall colors in my book.

I fussy cut them out and put aside to do the rest of the card.

I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso for the base and mated embossed layer, which was made with the Pinewood  Planks EF.

I used my Early Espresso ink pad and gently rubbed it over the EF before adding my Crumb Cake card stock.

The leaves and the sentiment are from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set.

The two labels are cut one with Early Espresso card stock and the other with Whisper White and come from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I finished up with a few Gold Gilded Gems and the Gold twine around and under the flowers is from the Wonder of the Season Combo ribbon pack.

Autumn Birthday Wishes

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Hope you all had a great weekend, I spent most of mine crafting and I have a few fall themed cards
to share with you this week.

This one features the Beautiful Autumn Greetings stamp set.

I love this image, so nice to color in all the fall colors.
This time I choose Cajun Craze for the main flowers in the center of the spray and Highland Heather for the Mums. Of course Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie was used for the pumpkin.
I used Pretty Peacock for the eucalyptus leaves and the maple leaves were colored with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I used Mango Melody and Pear Pizzazz for the Oak Leaves.
The berries are done with Pumpkin and Cajun craze and a bit of Real Red.

The stalks of wheat are colored with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.
The image was stamped with Black Stazon on Thick Very Vanilla and colored with my
Water Painter and ink pads.

I always struggle with sentiments and what kind of sentiment to put with each card.
I finally decide to make this a Birthday card and to keep it simple to just let
the pretty image be the star.

The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthday set.
I used the Stitched Rectangle dies for the image and the sentiment.

I matted the floral image with Cajun Craze card stock.
The DSP is from the plaid Tidings 6x6 pack.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and I finished up with a few basic rhinestones.

Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.
If you would like to buy the products for yourself,
