Happy Halloween

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I know it is not Halloween for a couple of more days, but I have been whipping up a few little Halloween goodies. Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine and I haven't even made many things this year, but this past weekend I was in the mood. I headed to my craft table to see what I could do.

I had painted these two wide mouth mason jars, one pint and one half pint, a while back to decorate. I was inspired by one I saw in a Stampin Up magazine that demos receive.

I also made a fun little card using the retired House of Haunts, this image is available now in the Best of Halloween set. The DSP is from the Witches Brew pack.

I also finally whipped up my Halloween Banner. I got this banner kit and the rest of the banner kits when they first came available to us and then just set it all aside and haven't done anything with them.

This was really fun to make and didn't really take that much time. I love how it turned out. I made mine more like the one in the Holiday catalog than the one pictured on the kit, that is the beauty of them you can be as creative as you want.
Here is a picture of the banner with the top of my hutch:

Happy Halloween......Baaaaaa HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

Sweet Sunday....Truly Grateful

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

As you can see I flipped the sketch.
I wanted to use this image from the retired Stampin Up Give Thanks stamp set. Actually this image is also in the current Best of Autumn set but generally those images are a bit smaller than the original one. I don't have the Best of Autumn, sometimes I hate to get those when I have most of the originals. Anyway the image is stamped onto some white card stock and colored with copic markers.

The DSP is from a retired pack and I used my mat pack and piercing tool to pierce all around the card and then I hand sewed, yes all by hand! I used some crochet thread.
The sentiment is from the Truly Grateful stamp set and I added some old olive Candy Dots under the sentiment. I sponged the main panel using Crumb Cake ink.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch:

FMS.......Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

This is a fun sketch and you all know I love a square card!
I decided to try to make a Sunflower card using the "Best of Flowers" stamp set.
I stamped the stem and leaves from the hydrangea flower with Black ink onto some Very Vanilla card stock and then used the Daisy type flower head for the Sunflowers. I stamped a few of them with black ink onto some scrap white and then colored with my copic markers.
I then cut out the flowers and added them to the stem and leaves on the vanilla card stock using some dimensionals. The leaves are colored with copic markers as well.
The Greeting comes from the Wetlands stamp set.

The DSP on here all comes from the Sweater Weather pack from Stampin Up. The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock and I matted with Sahara Sand and Crushed Curry cardstock.
I added some borders in Early Espresso using the Finishing Touches Edgelit dies. Finished it all off with some basic pearls.
 I LOVE these pretty Sunflowers!

I used some retired DSP on here it is from the Orchard Harvest pack., some really fun prints in this pack with a country feel which fit the Raggedy scarecrow well.

The sentiment is from a non SU set. and I added a button and some twine. finished it off with a couple of candy dots!

Color Challenge.......Merry Christmas Chickadee

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

So sorry for the lack of posting, I am just not stamping much. I attribute that to not enjoying alot of my stamps. You all know that I am a loyal Stampin' Up girl, but to be honest the last few catalogs do not have much to my liking. I am not really a "trendy" stamper and I am having a hard time fitting my style into the SU mold lately. Makes me sad to say and maybe I shouldn't here on my blog but it is what it is.

Anyway onto this lovely card, I DO like this one, but it is done with mostly retired items, the stamp set, Beautiful Season retired last year, I will always keep this one, it is so pretty and makes pretty cards. The DSP on here is from the retired, Deck the Halls pack, I love this pack and the vintage feel of it.

The colors come from the Splitcoast Color Challenge:

When I saw these colors I knew right away I wanted to use this set.

The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set. I used some Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon to make my loopy bow.  I added some basic pearls and an antique brad to the middle of the bow. The image is die cut with the Window Frame Dies.

Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by today!

P.S. I was made aware recently that there was a problem with some of my e-mails, so if you e-mailed me and I did not reply, chances are I did not receive it, so please forgive me and resend. All issues have been resolved, I hope.

Sweet Sunday.......Merry

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I decided to make a Christmas card, I have had a few new goodies for quite some time now and have not used them, Love this new Poinsettia set from Stampin Up called  "Joyful Christmas". I stamped the poinsettia twice onto some real red card stock using Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. I did the same with the leaves on old olive card stock. I then cut out and layered up the flower and added the leaves.

I then used the new Expressions thinlits called "Expressions" How fun is that Merry cut out of the Gold Foil Sheets?
The base of the card is Basic Black card stock and then a layer of Real Red and then an embossed piece of White. I added some basic pearls in the center of the poinsettia that I colored with a copic marker. I used some old olive card stock for the small flag at the top along with an antique bard.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the girls did with this sketch:

Rev Up the Fun

Happy Sunday peeps!!

So sorry for the long silence, I have been crafting just not much card making, more on that in a bit
I wanted to share a card I made for the color challenge in Splitcoast,
This was the colors for 9-24:

The dessert option was to use the Chalboard Technique. This is a technique I had played around with a bit but not much so I decided to give it another whirl.
I pulled out this new to me set from Stampin Up called "Rev Up the Fun" and went to work.

I first pulled out some Basic Black card stock and used my Embossing Buddy to cover it just to try and keep the specks to minimum.
I stamped each element with Versmark and embossed with White Embossing Powder seperately. (embossing with heat gun after each element).

All images and words come from this same set. I then used a sponge and some craft white ink to sponge around to add the "chalk dust look".
The lines around the panel was added using the new Chalk Marker from Stampin Up, I really love that pen.
I then stamped the "every day can be" part of the Joy Ride sentiment onto some white card stock using Gumball Green. I clipped the ends and curved it a bit and added it to the panel with some dimesionals.
I added some green "Candy Dots" and the green strip with some Black Rhinestones. Finished it off with clip and a bit of Gumball Green Ribbon.

I think it turned out great and I love that I was able to make a Man Card, which is not my forte.

So a bit of what else I have been up to lately:

Been making a ton of "Prim Pumpkins" I love primitive decorations and once I start something I tend to get a bit obsessed.

I have been selling these locally and even shipped a few to customers. If you like and want any just shoot me an email!

A few more things I been working on:

I LOVE these Sunflowers: They are Super easy to make and have twigs for stems!

I also have been working on some Prim Christmas items, more on those later.

Thanks for stopping by and I will have more cards to share later, so did give up on me! :)
