Celebrate Halloween

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Finally some cool weather has arrived in my area and it feels like fall can't be far away!
Love it!

Today I am sharing a cad I made using a couple of challenges first up is the Splitcoast Ways to Use It Challenge and also I used the Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.

The Ways to Use it challenge was an easy one: use Designer Paper, easy peasy, you all know I love the Designer Paper. This fun paper comes from the Stampin Up Witches Brew pack. the sentiment comes from the Halloween Bash stamp set and I used the single stamp called Off the Grid behind the sentiment along with some splotches that came with one of my Paper Pumpkin kits.

I used my Chevron Punch for the three black accents on the orange panel. I added a button with some twine and three black rhinestones to finish it up.

Be sure and come by tomorrow for my Sweet Sunday card made using this paper and sentiment. Here is a little sneak peek:

Thanks for coming by today

WT329.....Snow Fun

TGIF Peeps!!!

Are you ready for the holiday weekend?  I am looking forward to it!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Ways to Use it challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to Use something from your stash that is at least 6 months old, and also use an item that is newer than 6 months old.

I choose to use a new stamp set, Snow Much Fun that is in the brand new Stampin' Up catalog that goes live today at noon. I stamped the snow man and tree image onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I colored it in with my aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. I used the card shown in the catalog for inspiration on my card. I like the layout they had used so I did my version of it.

The old on my card is from the DSP, it is from a retired pack from last Christmas and I think the name is "Deck the Halls".  The antique brad are some I have had for awhile and of course the modern label punch is also an older punch.

Love this cute snowman set! You are definitely gonna want to get it!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

WT314....Sending Springtime Smiles

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Ways to Use It Challenge on splitcoast. The challenge was to Use a smile, something/anything that is smiling or use the word "smile" anywhere on your project.

I decided to use the sentiment from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. I also wanted to use the Nature Walk stamp set and the cool birdcage stamp that is in it. I used the flowers and colored them with my aqua painter and some old olive and bravo burgundy ink. I stamped the birdcage on a separate piece of card stock and cut it out and added it over the flowers. Looks kinda cute nestled in amongst the flowers huh?

The DS paper is another sneak peek if some new paper that will be available soon. I used very vanilla and chocolate chip card stock as well. I combined some very vanilla and crumb cake seam binding ribbon to make my bow and then finished it of with an antique brad. I added some basic pearls in the top corners.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Live, Laugh & Love

Good Friday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Ways to Use it Challenge yesterday on SplitcoastStampers. The challenge was Grey Doesn't need to be Gloomy, use GREY as a neutral color. Instead of choosing a white, brown or black base which are the most common neutrals, reach for grey!

I used basic gray as my card base and then use some pretty in pink card stock for my pop of color! Some of you know that I have become a bit addicted to making these rolled flowers, they are really easy and look so cute, I think anyway. I have recently ordered a Sizzix die to cut these out, that will make it even easier, so look for a bunch more of these once I get that die here. Another little tip I came across on making these, get yourself a quilling tool, it helps alot.

The sentiment come from the Stampin Up On your Birthday stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with basic gray ink onto some whisper white card stock. I added a piece of pretty in pink DS paper and some pretty in pink satin ribbon, my last bit of that so I need to get some more on my next order! I used the two step bird punch to punch out a few leaves with pear pizzazz card stock. I used my glue gun to adhere the small rolled flowers to the card so they will not fall off. I then tucked in the leaves around the flowers and added a few basic pearls to the flower centers. A nice CAS card for the stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, be sure and check back tomorrow for my Our Creative Corner card!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Greeting Card LOVE

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Today I have another card to share made with The Greeting Card Kids stamp set. This time I also used the Filled with Love stamp set and added the little valentine girl to the Love, replacing the "O" in the word.

I used Regal Rose, So Saffron and whisper white card stock. The DS paper is from the retired Georgia Peach paper pack. I stamped the little girl onto the white card stock and colored her dress with regal rose and my aqua painter. I also used daffodil delight, blush blossom and pink pirouette. I added red stickles to the heart she is holding. I made this card for the Ways To Use It Challenge on Splitcoast and the challenge was to add twine to your card. I added a button with some twine through the holes in the corner. I pierced all around the main image with my piercing tool and mat pack. The panel is added to the base with some dimensionals. I used some so saffron grosgrain ribbon on one side.

Well, that is all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card so be sure and come back by for that. Thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Peace Love Joy

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

This is my splitcoast double challenge card. I used this week's sketch challenge for my layout and this week's Ways to Use It Challenge, to use purple, I think rich razzleberry counts as purple, don't you?

The base of my card is rich razzleberry, I followed that with a piece of brushed gold card stock. I then made my own BG or DS paper. I used the beautiful "Serene Snowflake" set. The sentiment comes from the "All Holidays" set.

I added some sticky rhinestones to the center of my snowflakes and the ribbon is some I had in my stash, it matches the gold card stock perfectly!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Medallion Thank You

TGIF Peeps! Hope you all had a good week and are going to have an even better weekend!!!

Today's card is one I made with this weeks sketch challenge and I also used this weeks Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast.

I have been wanting to use this Medallion Background stamp every since I got it, so I pulled it out for this combined challenge card. The Ways to use it challenge was to use Variegated color in some way on our card. I pulled out my now retired Pumpkin Patch Spectrum Ink pad and inked up my medallion stamp. I then stamped it onto some PTI white cardstock, I had to do this several time to get the image I wanted. I then trimmed it down a bit to fit the sketch challenge main image panel. Roxy, the sketch challenge moderator, always gives dimensions for the panels in her card, which I find very helpful. You of course don't have to adhere to her exact dimensions but it is great starting point to achieve the sketch.

I then mounted my image onto some crushed curry and then dusty durango. I used my piercing tool and mat pack to pierce all around the edge of the design. I used some dusty durango polka dot ribbon, turned to the solid side to add my ribbon treatment to the panel. The sentiment comes from the Thank You Kindly stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto some more PTI white and cut out. I cut the end with a square punch, at an angle, and did the same with the layered dusty durango mat. I added a filigree flower with a rhinestone brad in the center to the end of the sentiment panel. I curved the sentiment and mounted it tho the mail panel.

The base of the card is dusty durango, followed by some PTI white and then two pieces of crushed curry that was ran through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I cut a small 1/2 inch square in half at an angle to make the corner elements and then I added a silver brad in the middle of each.

The main panel is mounted onto the base with some dimensionals.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Deer Forest Friends

TGIF Peeps! Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend and that it does not fly by like most of the weekends do! On Sunday afternoon I am going to a friends house to do some water coloring. A few of us are meeting to try and hon our skills!!!

I put together today's card with a couple of challenges in mind. I first off used this weeks sketch challenge on splitcoast and I also used this weeks Ways to Use it Challenge which was to use or make a frame.

I love sketch challenges as you all know and I had the frame thing in mind to use with this set anyway, because that tree just seems out of proportion to me to the animals, the set is SU's Forest Friends ans is adorable.

So it all just fell into place, love it when that happens.

If you follow the sketch challenges on splitcoast you know that Roxie, the sketch challenge hostess, always puts measurements in her sample card. I love that.

So I started my card by making the frame, I cut the pacific point card stock to the measurements she had specified: 3 1/8 x 4 1/8”, I then got out my circle nesties and to see what size would work with the tree image and wold fit the panel. I centered the piece over my nestie, leaving a bit more space at the bottom, and then ran it through the cuttlebug to cut. I then ran it through the cuttlebug again with the swiss dot embossing folder to add some more texture.

I stamped the tree onto some white cardstock with kiwi and chocolate chip and used dimensionals to attach it to the pacific blue piece. I added some silver brads to the corner and then matted it all onto a piece of baja card stock that is just 1/8 inch larger.

The DS paper I used is from the Good Morning Sunshine pack and is matted with more pacific. The base of the card is baja and I used baja ribbon, to "hang" my frame.

The cute little deer is stamped with chocolate chip and cut out and mounted on the outside of the frame.

I did not add a sentiment to this card as I could not make one work with my layout, it is soooo hard for me to make a card with out a sentiment on the front, but people tell me it is fine to do so, just hard for me!!! LOL!!!

The inside of the card is layered with more pacific and white cardstock and I used the single SU stamp that reads: "So glad you are one of my "dearest" friends." I think that fits the front don't you?

Well, that is all for today, I hope I have something to share with you tomorrow, I am feeling so "mojoless" last night and today.!! UGH!!! Hate that.

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

I Miss You

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made for two challenges on Splitcoast. The color challenge on Tuesday was to use basic Black, Always Artichoke and Rose Red and today's Ways to Use It Challenge is to use green.

I started with a base of basic black, followed with some always artichoke and then basic black again. I then used some always artichoke DS paper. I cut a top note die out and used that for my main image panel. I stamped the tree from SU's Branch Out set in chocolate chip and then made the leaves in artichoke. I stamped the boots with artichoke twice, once on the main image and then again on some scrap, cut them out and mounted them with a pop dot over the first pair. The rose red came into the card in the way of my butterflies, small amount, but still there. I stamped the bird with black and cut it out and glued him on the tree.

Wen the new catalog came out there was a thread on splitcoast about this set and how many of them did not "get" the boots. They made perfect sense to me.

In the summers we spent alot of time at my grandparents. They had a huge garden and we all had to help out with it. At the edge of the garden there was a huge tree with a table under it where we would all sit after working or when we needed a break. I remember there was almost always a pair of muddy boots by the tree, where someone had took them off after coming in from the garden. As a kid I did not like working in the garden that much, but looking back now it was great times and the best food came from that garden we eat on it all winter, the green beans, the potatoes, the tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, corn, squash, okra, peppers, you name it and grandma always had a few rows of flowers at one end.

Anyway, that is my card for today, a tribute to my grandparents and their garden! I miss them both!

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
