Dynamic Duos......Birthday Balloons

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Today over on Dynamic Duos we have a great new color challenge for you:

I started looking through my stamp sets to find one to use with these colors and pulled out this great set from Stampin Up called "Up, Up and Away. I love this set but have rarely used it, so it was due for some "ink love".
I stamped one hot air balloons with Cherry cobbler and one with Pool Party and then used my markers for the third one. I die cut a circle with my nesties and stamped the hot air balloon bases and then embossed using the cloudy Day EF. I cut out the balloons and added them to the embossed piece with some dimensionals  I then used a scallop circle nestie to mat the main image piece.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler and then I used a layer of white and and then some Crumb Cake card stock that I embossed with the perfect dots EF.
The DSP on here is from the Sycamore Street pack and I added a white scallop strip across the bottom of the designer paper. The main panel is added with dimensionals to the base. I used a sentiment from the same set and stamped with black onto a scrap of white and punched out with my 1 inch circle punch and then used cherry cobbler with my 1-1/4 inch circle punch to mat the sentiment.
No ribbon and no pearls!
Be sure and hop on over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog
to see what the rest of the team did with these colors.

Seize the Birthday....Happy Dirtday!

Happy Tuesday Peeps!
Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch at Seize the Birthday.

This week is masculine week, so I pulled out my Stampin Up "I Dig You" stamp set.
I think this dump truck is just the cutest thing!!1
I stamped the truck with Island Indigo and Real Red and then cut out the pieces I wanted to use. I then stamped the wheels using my black stazon pad and cut them out. I used my markers to color the presents and stamped and cut them out.
I made the "dirt" using some soft sued card stock and tearing it across one edge and then used my soft sued ink pad directly on the paper to add some color. I added the soft suede "dirt to some whisper white card stock, I then assembled the dump truck on that piece. I matted this with some Island Indigo card stock.

The base of the card is real red and then I used a layer of old olive that I embossed with the stripes EF. I added some twine across the bottom of the main panel and then added this to the old olive embossed piece with some dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same set and stamped with black onto white and then punched out with the decorative label punch and added under the main panel.

Merry Monday....Warm Wishes

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley at Always Playing with Paper has a fun new sketch for us:

As you can see I flipped the sideways.
I did struggle a bit with this one, but once I got into it and decided on my image and paper, it came together fairly quickly, well quickly for me anyway, I sometimes spend two, three or more hours on one card.
I did add an extra flag for my sentiment, but I think it looks alright.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler card stock and all the DSP on here is  from the Festival of Prints pack.
I stamped and die cut two mugs from the Scentsational Season stamp set and Holiday collection framelit dies make cutting the mugs out super easy! I made the "steam" using some vellum card stock.
Cute huh?

Now be sure and hop on over to Lesley's Blog to see what the rest of the Merry makers did with this great sketch

Sweet Sunday....Thoughts of you

Happy Easter Sunday peeps!!

Here is our Sweet Sketch for this week:

Love this sketch and the tilted panel!!
I pulled out a sweet Stampin Up set that I have had for awhile and had not yet inked up!
This set is called "Rain or Shine" and has the cutest little umbrellas in it!
I stamped my umbrellas in three colors, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade to match my DSP.
The DSP is from the Sunshine and Sprinkles pack.
The umbrellas are cut out and added the the embossed panel with dimensionals.
The handles are stamped separately with black and cut out and added to the umbrellas.
I embossed the white piece with the Cloudy Day EF.
I stamped the sentiment before embossing.

The base of the card is Lucky Limeade card stock and then a layer of white and then the DSP.
I matted the strip of DSP and my main panel with Melon Mambo card stock.
I added some little silver rhinestones to the top of each umbrella and three in the upper corner.

Dynamic Duos.....Warm Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

This week at Dynamic Duos we have a great color challenge for you:

Primrose Petals and another color of your choice!
I went with Old Olive for my second color, my favorite green.
I used the Stampin Up SAB set called "Bloomin Marvelous".  I love this flower set and it makes such pretty cards. Of course you all know I love any kind flowers for card making!
I achieved the two colors on my flowers by stamping twice without re-inking the stamp.
I stamped several flowers and cut them out.

I did the same with the leaves using old olive ink. I stacked and arranged my "bouquet" of flowers on the die cut piece of whisper white. The die cut is from the Apothecary Accents framelit die set. The sentiment on here is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set and is stamped with black stazon.
The DSP is from the Patio party and Polka Dot Parade packs. I used some retired old olive taffeta ribbon.
The little butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I added a bunch of basic pearls, on the flowers, the butterfly and in the top corners.
Be sure and head over to the Dynamic Duos Blog to see what the rest of the team did with this color challenge.

Still AddInktive.....Ears to You

Hello Peeps!!

Today over at Still AddINKtive we are spotlighting Easter, actually the challenge is to use any current Stampin Up Easter set. I am not sure this single stamp is just for Easter, after all the sentiment is kinda a "Congratulations" , but I love these little bunnies and I am using it as an Easter card anyway.

The base of the card is white card stock and then a layer of Primrose Petals and then a layer of embosses white. I used the perfect dots EF to emboss the center of the white piece  I wasn't really concerned that it didn't get all of the white as I knew I was going to add some DSP.

The DSP I used is from Patio Party paper pack. I added some Primrose ribbon across the  top and bottom of the two pieces of DSP and then made a bow and added it to the top.
The foliage in the BG is from the Just Believe stamp set and is stamped with Lucky Limeade ink. I stamped the bunnies in each of the three colors, Baja Blue, Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals and then cut out and added it to the oval with dimensionals. I used some basic pearls for little eyes on my bunnies and for decoration on the foliage and the corners of the card.
Sadly this is my last card for the Still AddInktive Design team as my time with the design team has come to an end.
Be sure and head over to the BLOG to play in our last challenge and to give all the girls some love.

Merry Monday....Holiday Cheer

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley at Always Playing with Paper has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge for us:

I went with Ribbon, Paper Piecing and Red.
I had also just picked up this cute Penny Black snowman stamp and wanted to use him this week.
I stamped the snowman onto some rustic white card stock and also onto some DSP from the Stampin Up "Be of Good Cheer" paper pack. I then cut out and "pieced" the scarf and hat on the snowman.
I then stamped his hat again onto more card stock and pieced the hat brim again. I covered the hat brim with a bunch of stardust stickles.

My card turned out a bit bigger than a standard card, the base is 5-1/2 inches by 4-3/4 inches.
Then a layer of black and then Crumb Cake and then some Cherry Cobbler, my red. I embossed the Cherry Cobbler with my swirl EF.
The snowman is cut out with a circle nestie and then I cut a black scallop circle to mat with.
I used some of the Stampin Up Natural Trim Ribbon across the bottom and tied a bow.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped with black and cut with my nesties.
I added some black brads and some black rhinestones on the sentiment piece.
I love this cute little snowman!!!
