Sweet Sunday.........Hello

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped my sketch as you can see, cos I wanted to use this cute little Penny Black Mouse stamp I got recently.

I stamped the image with black stazon onto some Confetti Cream card stock and colored it using my water brush and ink pads.
I kept it very clean and simple with this card as I was in a bit of a rush and haven't been feeling the best this week.

So let's see what the rest of the girls did with this sweet sketch:

Merry Monday....Holiday Cheer

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley at Always Playing with Paper has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge for us:

I went with Ribbon, Paper Piecing and Red.
I had also just picked up this cute Penny Black snowman stamp and wanted to use him this week.
I stamped the snowman onto some rustic white card stock and also onto some DSP from the Stampin Up "Be of Good Cheer" paper pack. I then cut out and "pieced" the scarf and hat on the snowman.
I then stamped his hat again onto more card stock and pieced the hat brim again. I covered the hat brim with a bunch of stardust stickles.

My card turned out a bit bigger than a standard card, the base is 5-1/2 inches by 4-3/4 inches.
Then a layer of black and then Crumb Cake and then some Cherry Cobbler, my red. I embossed the Cherry Cobbler with my swirl EF.
The snowman is cut out with a circle nestie and then I cut a black scallop circle to mat with.
I used some of the Stampin Up Natural Trim Ribbon across the bottom and tied a bow.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped with black and cut with my nesties.
I added some black brads and some black rhinestones on the sentiment piece.
I love this cute little snowman!!!
Now be sure and hop on over to Lesley's Blog to see what the rest of the Merry makers did with this fun challenge!
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Valentine Flower

Good Morning! It is so bitterly cold today, as it has been all weekend, but a warm up is heading this way!

Today's card is made for my Splitcoast Bloggers Group #6. This is our very first challenge. Linda picked the first challenge to be a sketch.

I am calling this my Valentine Flower Card, I love this flower stamp it is from Penny Black . It has to be one of my all time favorite stamps. I don't think you can make a bad card with this stamp. So later on it might be my Easter stamp or my Summer stamp or.....you get the idea!!!

I started with a base of riding hood red and followed that with a piece of whisper white and layer some designer paper onto the white, the paper is from the Bella Rose DS pack from SU. My layers at the bottom start again with white that has one edge punched with the scallop edge punch, followed by a layer of riding hod red and then a piece of white taffeta ribbon. Next comes the main image layer, I inked up the flower stamp with some lipstick red and warm red colorbox chalk ink and added some warm brown for the flower center and used a SU marker in old olive to color in the stems and leaves. I stamped the flower 4 times, inking up the stamp each time. The sentiment is from the All Holidays set and is stamped in the corner with black stazon ink. I layered the main panel with some riding hood red and white and popped it up with some dimensionals. I then added some tiny silver sticky rhinestones in two corners.

I really think you could use this card for Valentine's or for any other occasion you like. The stamp is really versatile. I have made cards with it in alot of different colors, purple, yellow, pink, red and even brown.

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by, have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
