Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Let me start out by thanking everyone for all the comments and emails on my previous post. It is heartwarming to know that so many appreciate my stamping and crafting endeavors.

I decided to take some time yesterday to color and bit and I am proud to say it lead to two cards, this one I am sharing today and the other I will post later.

I am soooooo loving this new set from the Stampin Up mini that is ending very soon.
It is called Birthday Blooms and it is so up my alley. You all know how I love coloring and I especially love coloring flowers and making flowery cards.

I started out by staming my image onto some Confetti White card stock, this is a heavy weight card stock made by Papertrey. I love their card stock. I used Black Stazon ink and then began my coloring.

I used my water brush and laid down a base color using my Blushing Bride ink pad. I just squeeze the pads together while closed so some ink pools onto the lid and use that ink for coloring

I used Calypso coral ink for the darker shaded areas.
I used Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi ink for the leaves. I then laid down some blue around the edges using Pool Party ink. The center stamens are colored with some Crushed Curry and then I went over that using my white gel pen.
The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
I did stamp color and cut out an extra leaf to lay over the sentiment panel. I didn't like the look of the sentiment over the leaf and this was the best solution and gives a bit more dimension to the card.
I added some gold enamel dots from my stash.
I matted the main image with basic black card stock and then added this piece to the base with foam tape.

Hope you like this card, I think it came out nice and I love the clean look.

Chocolate Easter Bunny Treat Holders

Happy Easter Peeps!!

I wanted to pop in here for a sec and share some cute little bunny treat holders I made for my co-workers.

These are a cut file made with a Silhouette Cameo, thanks to a friend.

I added bows and a small little pom pom for the fluffy tail.

I thought they turned out cute,

Of course these would be cute in any color but I LOVE the chocolate bunny look!

Easy Peasy!

Sorry for the long absence in posting to my blog, I am hoping to stamp soon, I actually have been thinking about it lately. I had gone through a period of not wanting to stamp and still I don't have a super strong desire but I thinking about it more so maybe soon!

Hope you all have a blessed Easter and if you read this post, please post me a comment so I can see how many actually read and are interested in future postings!

Card Concept.....Merry & Bright

Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Sorry for the long silence here on the blog, but I 'm back with a pretty little Christmas card for the new  challenge at The Card Concept Blog.
Here is our inspiration photo for this week:

Don't you love that photo, I took my inspiration from the colors, the poinsettias and the overall country feel of the photo.

I started out making my Poinsettia. I used Cherry Cobbler, and Mossy Meadow. I stamped the veins in the leaves in the same color as the paper and sponged the edges.
I used some gold foil paper for the center.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of the gold foil. I then used a layer of Corrugated Paper. love that stuff! I made my banner using some of the Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.
I added the flower to the card with some dimensionals. I used some of the burlap ribbon that I cut apart and pulled out the strings to tuck around the flower. I then added a few little gold sticky back pearls.
The sentiment is from the Endless Wishes stamp set.
The card is a 5 inch square and would probably be better to add to a gift and not to mail. :)

Be sure and head over to the Card Concept Blog to see what the rest of the team did with this inspiration challenge.

Card Concept......Hello Falll

Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Time for a new challenge at The Card Concept.

It is a new month and that means we have a new Guest Designer, this month it is the fabulous Julee Tilman from Poetic Artistry.

Here is our inspiration piece for this week:

I took my inspiration from the colors and all the circle elements in the photo.
I decide to make a fall wreath.
I used the Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set.
The colors I used are Crumb Cake, Brushed Silver, Hello Honey and Whisper White.

I stamped the Wreath image with Versamark ink onto the Brushed Silver card stock and then embossed with white embossing powder.

I stamaped the flowers with Hello Honey ink and fussy cut them out.
The sentiment is from the stamp set For All Things.
I added a ribbon bow, I realized after adding it and
taking the picture that I used the wrong ribbon,
(I used Summer Starfruit, which is retired instead of the Hello Honey)
It coordinates tho, so I think it is OK.

Be sure and head over to the Card Concept Blog to see what the rest of the girls did with this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.......Hello Fall

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Here is the fun sketch we have for this week.

I wanted to make a Fall type card using some goodies from the Stampin Up Occasions mini.
I love the new Acorny Thank You stamp set with matching punch and
I have had this corrugated paper from Stampin Up for a few weeks
and wanted to use them for the acorns and had not done it so this was the perfect opportunity for me to do it!
I stamped the tops of the acorns onto Crumb Cake using Cajun Craze ink.
The bottoms are the corrugated paper punched with the matching punch.
I layered the tops over the base of corrugated acorn using dimensionals.
The leaf behind the Acorns is from the For All Things stamp set.
I stamped with Crushed Curry ink onto Very Vanilla. I fussy cut it out and them crumbled it all up and then smoothed it back out.
I added some linen thread on top of the leaf and then added my acorns to make the fun little Fall element.
I think this grouping will be making an appearance on my
Thanksgiving Name Cards. Be on the look out for those!

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and then the center element is Early Espresso and a piece of DSP from the Woodland paper pack.

The sentiment banner is from the For All things stamp set. I used Old Olive ink to stamp that on the Vanilla card stock.
I added a bit more Corrugated paper under the sentiment as well.

Crazy 4 Challenges....A Christmas Wish

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

It is the last Saturday of the month and our hostess for this month
final challenge for us is to get a jump start on our Christmas cards.

I had finally gotten my Sleigh Ride Edgelits that had been on Back order and was excited
to try them out.

I had fun making my background snowy sky.

I used some Water color paper and stamped the snow stamp over and over using Versamark
I then embossed using white embossing powder.

I then used three colors of blue to make the night sky.

I used Marina Mist, Lost Lagoon and Night of Navy,

I watered the paper down using a paint brush and then added my color starting with the lightest and graduated up to the dark ant the top.

I really love the look I achieved.

I die cut the row of houses using the thick whisper white and added over the back ground piece using dimensionals.

The Sentiment is from the Joyful Christmas stamp set and is stamped with Night of Navy ink.

I added several little silver sequin stars that I had in my stash to finish it up and add a bit of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Freshly Made Sketches.....JOY

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I love this fun sketch:

I knew right away when I saw it that I wanted to use this fun little penguin from the Snow Place
stamp set

I stamped him three times onto my squares. I used the Stampin Up thick Whisper White Cardstock for the squares.
The penguins are stamped with Black Memento Ink, I stamped the accessories, hat, ear muffs and bow tie on scrap white and even those this set comes with matching framelits I fussy cut my accessories out.

I added a few little snow flakes around each penguin.
The sentiment was made using the retired Skinny Mini Alphabet stamp set.
I used the fun little holly and berries stamp to accessorizes my little vertical banner sentiment.
\The base is Crumb Cake card stock and then the DSP is from the Merry Moments stamp set.

I finished up with a few little silver sequins.

Thank you for stopping by!
