Merry Christmas

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Popping in here today to share a card I made using the challenge at CAS(E) this sketch.

I used the now retired Wondrous Wreath stamp set. I love this wreath set.

I stamped the wreath in two shades of green, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.

The base and first layer of y card is thick whisper white and then I used some fun red and gold glitter paper for my side pieces.
Red, gold and green that is Christmas for sure!!
I used more red glitter paper for the bow and hanger on the wreath.
I colored some rhinestones with a red copic marker and added a few to my wreath.

The sentiment is from the Farm House Christmas stamp set.
I stamped the saying with Real Red ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Card Concept......Hello Falll

Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Time for a new challenge at The Card Concept.

It is a new month and that means we have a new Guest Designer, this month it is the fabulous Julee Tilman from Poetic Artistry.

Here is our inspiration piece for this week:

I took my inspiration from the colors and all the circle elements in the photo.
I decide to make a fall wreath.
I used the Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set.
The colors I used are Crumb Cake, Brushed Silver, Hello Honey and Whisper White.

I stamped the Wreath image with Versamark ink onto the Brushed Silver card stock and then embossed with white embossing powder.

I stamaped the flowers with Hello Honey ink and fussy cut them out.
The sentiment is from the stamp set For All Things.
I added a ribbon bow, I realized after adding it and
taking the picture that I used the wrong ribbon,
(I used Summer Starfruit, which is retired instead of the Hello Honey)
It coordinates tho, so I think it is OK.

Be sure and head over to the Card Concept Blog to see what the rest of the girls did with this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today!

SIP.....Happy Wonderful Christmas

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at

I wasn't intending to make a Christmas card when I first looked at the Inspiration photo, but after stamping my greenery with the red flower it just sort of happened.

It is a fairly CAS card.
The base is Smoky Slate and then I used another layer of Smoky slate on top of the base.
I stamped the sentiment which comes form the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath stamp set with black Memento ink across the bottom of the Smoky Slate layer.

The image is from the Bountiful Border stamp set and I used Wild Wasabi and Real red on whisper white card stock.
I matted with some Real Red and then glued to the Smoky Slate layer.
I tied some Real Red bakers twine around the layer and left the tails long.
I used some gold sticky back pearls (non SU) for a bit of bling.
This layer was then glued to the base.

So what do you think of my first Christmas card of the year. I have not gotten any of the new mini items yet but they will be coming soon and I have several ideas swirling around in my head for those goodies.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Sweet Sunday.....Happy Wonderful Christmas

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I turned the sketch on its side for my card this week.

I started with a base of white and then a layer of brushed gold.
I then used the Petals a Plenty EF on white for my next layer.

I  then added three small strips of brushed gold.

The next layer is more brushed gold and white, I added this layer to the base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Wondrous Wreath set, with cherry cobbler ink on the lower corner of the white card stock.

The wreath is from the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath set. and I stamped with versamark onto brushed gold and then embossed with white. The next layer is embossed with gold and then the berries are embossed with cherry cobbler embossing powder. I cut the wreath out with the matching dies to theis set.  I added a small piece of cherry cobbler card stock behind my wreath and added it to the card with dimensionals.
The "JOY" is cut with gold foil paper and comes from the wreath set.  I laid the "joy" over the wreath and glued it in place.
I finished up with a couple of cherry cobbler little banners.

Sweet Sunday........Hello Fall

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath stamp set with it's matching framelits to make my fall wreath card.
I had not used this set yet and it is so fun!! It is one of the new polymer stamp sets and I was not sure I would like these but they are growing on me! They are very easy to use and line up!

I stamped the wreath using Hello Hone, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss ink.
I then used the matching framelit dies to cut it out.
The sentiment is from the For All Things stamp set.

I used Hello Honey card stock for the base of my card and then followed that with some Crumb cake card stock that I embossed using the Woodgrain EF. then I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and embossed using the Fancy Fan EF.  I hand cut the flag bottom and attached to the base.

The wreath is mounted on the card using some dimensionals.
I added a few gold sequins and it is done.
