MFT Sketch Challenge.......Bear Hugs

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

I was playing around with this cute little Pure Innocence stamp from MFT
called Big Bear Hugs and decided to take a look at this week's MFT Sketch Challenge

I thought my little girl with her bear would be perfect.
I had already colored her so I had to go in search of some matching paper. I found this green piece in my stash, it is some Stampin Up but I don't know which pack it is from. But it has polka dots, and I love polka dots, so I thought it was perfect.
I decided to keep it fairly simple. I used some Kraft card stock for the base and then a layer of white.
I then cut the DSP in the shape of the element on the sketch.

I added a strip of kraft across the DSP and stamped my sentiment on it.

I dropped my block while stamping the sentiment and smudge some black onto the card so out came the sequins to cover the little smear. I contemplated adding something else on the white piece, maybe some embossing or stamping but in the end just kept it simple.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.....Best Friends are the Best Gift

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled out my new MFT Pure Innocence stamp called "Big Bear Hugs".
I have always been a big fan of the Pure Innocence line and this one is super cute!!

I went with my purple color theme again, (Sorry about that, I will put it away soon, I promise.)
I stamped the image with black memento ink onto some white card stock and colored it with my copic markers. I then die cut the circle with the pierced circle die-namics.
The square is made up of Concord Crush card stock matted with white. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with some white embossing powder.

The base of the card is white card stock and then a layer of Concord Crush. I used a circle stencil
and some white craft ink to make the BG. I added a strip of DSP across the top and then mounted the main image piece to the base with foam tape. The circle is mounted to the square with foam tape as well.
I die cut the small banners with white card stock and tucked them in behind the square panel.
I finished off with a few sequins and a couple of small stars.

So let's see what the rest of the girls did with this sweet sketch:
