Thank You

Hello Peeps!!!

So sorry for the long silence here on the ol' blog.

I have had a hard time getting back to my craft table after the holidays.
I could give you a million and one reasons but in the end I guess I just needed the break.

Anyway I pulled out this amazing set from the Occasions catalog called Forever Blossoms.

It is so pretty, don't you think?
I also am using the sketch at

I began by stamping the image onto thick Whisper White card stock with Black Stazon ink.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads.
I used Poppy Parade and Old Olive inks.
I used the matching dies to cut it out.

A couple of other new iems on this card are the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.
I love it!
I hand cut the partial circle and then embossed. I matted that piece with some Basic Black card stock.

The sentiment on here is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
I samped with Versamark onto Basic Black and embossed with White Embossing Powder.
I cu out the strip and used the Tailored Tag punch to flag the end.

The floral cut out piece is added to the card with dimensionals
and the sentiment strip is tucked under the stem of the flower.

I went back in with my white gel pen and highlighted the centers of the flowers a bit.

I added a few basic rhinestones and some white twine wrapped around my sentiment strip and added a small bow as well.

Be Jolly

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made using the Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle.

I love this Santa and he is so fun to color.
I stamped with Black Stazon on thick Whisper White and colored
with my ink pads and Aqua Painter.
I used Real Red for Santa's suit and Crumb Cake for his bag and the bear along with  some Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Blushing Bride. I colored in his shoes, mittens and Belt with my Basic Black Marker.
He is then die cut out with the maching dies.
I added him the die cut Stitched Nested Label Die cut with dimensionals.

I used Real Red for my card base and then a layer of Whisper White,
I used another piece of real red and embossed it with the Brick & Mortar EF.

The DSP is from the Let it Snow paper pack.

I added the Santa on the die cut piece to the base with more dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the same die cut, the Jolly Season Dies, I die cut it from Whisper White. I cut off the "To" so it just said "be Jolly".

The snowflakes are from the Frosted Frames Dies and are die cut with Whisper White.

I added a bit of Icicle Stickles, {non SU} to the fur on Santa's suit and hat.

I finished by adding a small rhinestone to the snowflake centers.

Happy Birthday Leaves

 Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!!

Today's card share is made using the large leaf from the Gather Together stamp set.
I stamped the leaf image three times onto watercolor paper with Versamark ink.

I embossed the images using white embossing powder and my Heat Tool.

I used Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry and my Aqua Painter to color the leaves.

I fussy cut them out and sit aside to make the rets of the card.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock.
Then is a layer of Whisper White and I followed that with a piece of DSP from the
Come To Gather pack.
The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and is
stamped with Early Espresso ink onto whisper white card stock.

I then placed the leaves onto the card, gluing them down just in the middle, so I could curl up the edges to give some movement to the card.

I finished the card with linen bows on the leaves and a few gold sequins.

Celebrate the Best Day Ever

Happy Friday Peeps!

Today's card share is another fall card, this one made with
the Gather Together
set.

I started this one by stamping the large leaf in this set several times onto some
Thick Whisper White card stock. I used Versamark ink and embossed the leaf images
with gold embossing powder.

I used my Aqua Painter and ink pads to color the leaves.
I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.
Although there is a die to fit this leaf,
I fussy cut my leaf images so not to have any white showing.

I thought my pretty fall leaves needed a pretty blue sky to float around on.

I used a piece of watercolor paper and Balmy Blue ink.
I smashed my ink pad onto an acrylic block and used
my Aqua Painter to add color to my water color paper
after first washing water across the paper
so the blue would flow.
I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper after adding the blue wash.

I added the leaves to the Water Colored paper with dimensionals.
I then trimmed it down to the size I needed for my card.

I matted this piece with Cajun Craze card stock.

My sentiment come from the Band Together Stamp set.
I stamped with Versamark onto a strip of Vellum card stock.
I embossed this with Gold embossing Powder.
I wrapped my sentiment piece around the card front and secured it to the back with
tear & tape.
I then added this to my Crumb Cake base.

I added a Cajun Craze Twine bow using the twine from the Come To Gather
Ribbon Combo Pack.
I finished with a few gold sequins.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I so wish you all could see this card in person, it is so much prettier than the picture shows.

I wanted to play with my Good Morning Magnolia set, I love this flower and it is
so fun to color.
My original thought was, of course, fall so I stamped my big flower with
black stazon ink on thick Whisper White and pulled out my
Cajun Craze ink pad to color.
I used my Aqua Painter and I colored it up and used Mossy Meadow for
the leaves. I have to tell you I was not real happy with how it turned out but decided to
persevere and try to finish it.
I cut out the flower image with the matching die and then put it
into the Subtle Embossing folder and that is where my inspiration for what you
see here came from. I liked the look of my flower through the Embossing Folder, it toned done the color enough to make it look nicer, to me anyway.
So my answer was Vellum, I die cut a piece using the die for the flower and added it over
the colored the flower.

The base of my card is  Cajun Craze card stock, followed by a layer of Whisper White.
The next layer is Early Espresso and then two pieces of DSP from the Come To Gather pack.
I added a strip of Early Espresso card stock across the card between the two pieces of DSP.
Next I used one of the dies from the Stitched Rectangle dies and Early Espresso card stock, I embossed this die cut piece with the Basket weave EF.

I added the Magnolia to the Espresso piece with dimensionals.
Then added that piece to the card with more dimensionals.

My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday Wishes set and is stamped
with Early Espresso ink and die cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

Just For You

 Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today's card share is made using a beautiful new set I recently got.

I just had to ink it up right away, it is called Rare Blessings. It is so
pretty and I had overlooked it at first.
The sentiments in the set are so pretty as well.

I inked it with Black Stazon and stamped it on to my thick whisper white
card stock.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz ink

I die cut the floral image using one of the dies in Stitched Rectangle Dies,
I also die cut the next larger one in the set using Poppy Parade card stock.

I glued the image panel directly to the Poppy Parade die cut piece.
I added it to the card base with dimensionals

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.

The sentiment comes from the same set and is stamped with
Black Memento onto thick Whisper White.
I die cut it  and matted it with one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I finished up with a a few Basic Rhinestones.

Magnolia Thinking of You

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

I pulled out my Good Morning Magnolia Bundle again for today's card.

I have a lot going on this week helping
 my daughter prepare for
Grandbaby #2 first birthday party, so I needed
something quick and easy and this bundle does that for me.
I do love coloring this flower and it is fast and easy.
I stamped my bloom onto thick Whisper White card stock
with Black Stazon ink.
I colored wih my Aqua Painter and in pads using Peal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz ink.

I used the matching die to cut out the big bloom.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock and I used another
piece of Crumb Cake to emboss with the Brick & Mortar EF.

I used a small strip of DSP from the Magnolia Lane pack across the bottom
part of the card.
I used a few strands of twine pulled from the Flax ribbon to wrap
around the DSP and tie a small bow.
I added the flower with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White and
then fussy cut it out. I added it
to he card with dimensionals as well.

I finished upp my card with a few Metallic gold pearls.
