Spring Tulips

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using the Spring Tulips stamp set by MFT.
I started out to use the Color Challenge this week on the MFT Card Challenge Blog.

The colors to use were:

I don't have the exact colors and was going to use close to what I have. I then just got carried away while coloring my tulips and used a couple of colors not included in the challenge, so do I link it up over there or not? :/
I do like how the colors looked when coloring on the Kraft card stock. I stamped and masked and stamped again getting three sets of tulips using my black memento ink. I then colored with my copic markers.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the a layer of basic black and then the main panel is more crumb cake card stock.
I used one of the sentiments in the Spring Tulip set for my card. I stamped with ersmark and then embossed with white embossing powder.

I then stamped a few more tulips onto some white card stock and colored them again with my copic markers.

By this time into my coloring I had totally forgot the color challenge colors and was just coloring some pretty tulips.
I completely colored in the BG as well. Another embossed sentiment  and a few sequins to complete this card.

So which is your favorite?

The Paper Players.....Wishing You a Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using
the sketch challenge this week on The Paper Players Blog.

This was a fun little sketch to work with.
I had an idea for this card when I saw the sketch but it sure took a long time to get it to come together.
I really just had the basic idea, the tulips to the side of the circle and the sentiment across the bottom.
This is another new set I got from MFT called Spring Tulips.
Love it, it has solid and line images both for the tulips and some really pretty sentiments.
I had the idea for a red and crumb cake combo, and that is on here but really the white is more prominent I think.

I created the BG by cutting a "stencil" with the retired lattice die from Stampin Up.I laid it down and sponged over it with some Soft Sky ink. It is really pretty and looks so much better than I was able to capture in my pics.
My center element is made up with a doily and the round DSP is from a retired pack.
I stamped the tulips with memento ink and colored with my copic markers. I then cut it all out and added it to the circle with some dimensionals.
The sentiment is stamped onto some red card stock with black craft ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I just hand cut the "v" in the banner and added it just tucking it under the tulips.

Crazy 4 Challenges......Pawsitvley Awesome

Happy Monday Peeps!!

The challenge this week on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog was a sketch challenge and I was anxious to play along.

I ordered this stamp from MFT awhile back and just got it, unfortunately it was traveling around the US for about two weeks before it finally arrived at my door on Friday. I had to use it right away!
It is another adorable Birdie Brown set called "You have my heart".
I have been on a bit of a purple kick with my last few cards, once I got out the Concord Crush I could not stop using it.
Anyway I stamped one of the sweet little images from the set onto some white card stock using some Memento Black ink and colored with my copic markers.

The base of the card is Concord Crush and then a layer of white. I again used some DSP from the retired in color pack.
The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with black ink.
I used my Sizzix Sizzlet Fashionable Heart die to make the two little hearts and then I added three sequins at the top for that element in the sketch.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday.........Welcome Baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was a little stumped with this sketch, I know.......but the more I thought about it I finally came up with this simple little baby card.
I have had this cute little MS elephant punch a couple of years, I got it to make some baby shower invites for a customer and had not used it since.
I thought those little elephants would be cute marching up the angle on the sketch.
I decided to go gender neutral and pulled out some purples. I used the retired Concord Crush, an absolute favorite color of mine, and Wisteria Wonder.

The DSP on here is from a retired in color pack, from when Concord was an in color.

I did not use the small circle element from the sketch on my card but the rest is there.

I added some Wisteria bakers twine around the bottom and then tied abow.
The sentiment is from the retired Short and Sweet stamp set.

So let's see what the rest of the girls did with this sweet sketch:

MFT....SOMEBUNNY

Happy Saturday Peeps!
Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch challenge this week on the MFT Challenge Blog.

I am in LOVE with this awesome stamp set!
SOMEBUNNY fromMFT is a Birdie Brown Set. I love all her sets.

I have made a shaker card using this set I will show you later next week.
I think this bunny shown from the back is my favorite in the set and it looks perfect with the little wagon of flowers.
I die cut the circle and then stamped the bunny and wagon using Memento Black ink. I then colored with my copic markers. I added all the tiny little hearts all around. They are punched from a SU border punch.

The DSP I used are both from retired SU packs. I hand cut my wave and added it over the dotted BG.
I rounded the top corners using the corner rounder on my envelope punch board.
The sentiment is stamped with Memento Black ink and was super easy to line up since there was already lines on the DSP.
I finished this up with a few iridescent sequins and few small rhinestones in the flower centers.
I am sure you willbe seeing more of this card in the future, it will be sweet for Easter.  I am thinking some tags for Easter goodies!

FMS.....I'm All Ears

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I wanted to use this cute little Pure Innocence stamp
called I'm All Ears that I was gifted by my sweet friend Karen Giron.
I have had it for quite some time and have never inked it, so it was about time.
I stamped it onto some white card stock with black memento ink and colored with my copic markers. I paper pieced the dress and bow.

The base of the card is some retired Concord Crush card stock.
I followed that with some whisper white and then a layer of Wisteria Wonder.
The DSP is from a retired in color pad.
I fussy cut out the little girl and mounted her onto the circle frame with some foam tape.
The sentiment is from the same PI set. I finished it up with some iridescent sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sweet Sunday......Hello

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I love this sketch and I decided to pull out a set I had not inked up yet, the Stampin Up Butterfly Basics.
I stamped the flower with black stazon a couple of times onto some cream card stock and colored with my water brush and ink pads. I used Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pool Party and just a touch of  orange for the flower centers.

The base of the card is some Cream card stock and then a layer of Real Red card stock.
The DSP on here is from the Stampin Up FlashBack pack. I love the retro feel to this paper and the the vintage feel it gives to my card.
The sentiment on here comes from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set and is embossed with black embossing powder.

So let's see what the rest of the girls did with this sweet sketch:

Another Sweet Sunday........Hay There

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I am popping in here with another card I made using this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

I made two cards this week and could not decide which one to use. For this one I used the MFT Pure Innocence Farmer Girl. Isn't she cute?
I stamped her onto some Confetti Cream card stock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and I used some retired SU DSP.

I matted the main image with Island Indigo card stock.

The sentiment is from the same little PI set and I used one of the SU Word Bubble dies to cut it out.
I added a few sequins and rhinestones to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped my sketch as you can see, cos I wanted to use this cute little Penny Black Mouse stamp I got recently.

Happy Heart Day Mini Pails

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing some little Mini Paint Pail valentines I have been working on.

I was talking to my friend Wendy at WeeBeeStampin4Fun  the other day and  I mentioned these pails and that I was going to make some for work. I only had four here and I asked her if she knew if Michaels still carried them. She said she had seen them awhile back at her Michaels (of course she lives in PA and I live in MO).
She then  challenged me to get mine made and she would make hers and we could post them on our blogs today.
Well, that gave me the push to actually get them done.
I had four of the pails already but wanted a few more,
so I ran out to Michaels to pick up a few more. I ended up making 10.

I had decided before I got started that I wanted to make pom poms for the top.
I tried making some pom poms out of Bakers twine but they just don't look as full and fluffy as the ones made with yarn.
So I dug into my yarn stash and found some yarn to match my paper colors and made me up a bunch of pom poms!

I think they turned out pretty cute! I love the colors and papers and all the embellishments, some which are pre-made stickers.
I used the Stampin Up single stamp from last year I think called Happy Valentine Heart on some of them and the Happy Heart Day come from the Tags 4 You stamp set.
All the tags started with a Crumb Cake base punched with the Note Tag Punch. it was the perfect size for the mini pails.

I have a few close up pics for you:

The DSP comes from a My Minds Eye pack I picked up recently.

Don't you love the bows and pom poms?

The clothspins with hearts are some I had in my stash as well as the pretty paper roses.

So sweet and girly!
Hope you enjoy them and don't forget to hop over to Wendy's Blog
and see how she decorated her little pails!

Birthday Boy

Happy Monday Peeps!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges the challenge is to make Birthday card and they added a twist, make it masculine.
Masculine cards are certainly not my forte but I wanted to give it a try. I thought about what to make and my little boat die came to mind. I could make a "little boy" birthday card.
This die is such fun it is made by "My Favorite Things"
All the DSP I used is from some retired packs, Sweet Slumber and Sweet Pea, I think.

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.
So cute huh?
I added a little red button with some twine to finish it up,
Whatcha think, I think it turned out pretty cute!

I am also linking this over at Seize the Birthday

Sweet Sunday....Love You Muchly

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I turned the sketch on its side. I wanted to use this cute little Pure Innocence stamp called Daisy Girl.
I stamped her with Black Stazon ink onto some Crumb Cake card stock. I then colored using my water brush and ink pads.

The sentiment is from another Pure Innocence stamp called Flower Girl.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the DSP is from
I like how the design in the paper looks like daisy petals, cute huh?
I added three small gold pearls at the top.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:
