Sweet Sunday......Mingle All the Way

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I took out my pack of Stampin Up All is Calm Specialty pack for this card. I love the colors in that pack. the base of the card is Lost Lagoon and then I used some Silver Foil paper for the next layer.
All of the DSP is from the same pack and I matted the layers with lost lagoon or the silver foil.

The sentiment is from the Mingle All The Way stamp set and is stamped onto whisper white card stock using lost lagoon ink. I made my snowflakes using the retired Northern Frost Sizzix strip die. I added some silver sticky back pearls, my supply of these are running dangerously low and I can no longer find them locally!!!

Sweet Sunday......Give Thanks

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I have not made very many fall cards this year even tho it is my favorite time of the year, and since Thanksgiving is this Thursday here in America, I took this opportunity to make a one.
I pulled out my Stampin Up Fall Fest stamp set along with the Hardwood Background and the For All things set and got busy!

I love a square card and was excited to use this sketch!
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of Cajun Craze and the DSP comes from the Color Me Autumn paper pack.
The center layers are Cajun Craze and another piece of Crumb Cake that is stamped with Crumb Cake ink using the Hardwood BG stamp. I added the sentiment from the For All Things stamp set using Cajun Craze ink.

I used a piece of the 1-1/4" burlap ribbon across the bottom. I stamped three pumpkins from the Fall Fest stamp set using Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake ink. I cut them out with the matching dies and sponged the edges with Cajun Craze ink. I cut three small leaves that are from the Fun Fall Framelits and crumbled them up a bit. I added them to the pumpkins and then used some small buttons and twine to top them off.  I used a bit of crystal effects on the leaves to make them look a bit wet and then colored all over the pumpkins with my Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of a glow.

I finished off with a few gold sequins.

Merry Monday.....Christmas Wishes

Happy Tuesday peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using this fabulous little stamp set i just got. It is made by JustRite stamps and I have had my eye on it for a long time! I just love it and finally went ahead and took the plunge and got it. It arrived in my mailbox yesterday and so I sit right down to play with it.

I saw the challenge this week at the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, was to feature bells on your card. Perfect for my new stamp, the wreath has bells!!

I stamped the wreath image onto some white card stock and colored with my copic markers.
I then was a bit crazy and decided to cut this baby out. That was a bit challenging, especially the inside, but I got it done. I set it aside and made the base.

The base is white card stock then a layer of Cherry Cobbler. I then embossed another piece of white using the decorative dot embossing folder. I then added the wreath to my base using some dimensionals. the sentiment is from the same wreath set and is stamped using Cherry cobbler ink.  I die cut it out using a MFT die. I then added a strip of cherry cobbler card stock across the bottom and mounted the sentiment with dimensionals.

I then used some crystal effects on the jingle bells and used my wink of stella brush to add some shimmer to the bow.

A close-up of the bow to show the shimmer

So pretty IRL.
I finished it up with a couple of red rhinestones.

Sweet Sunday.....Happy Wonderful Christmas

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I turned the sketch on its side for my card this week.

I started with a base of white and then a layer of brushed gold.
I then used the Petals a Plenty EF on white for my next layer.

I  then added three small strips of brushed gold.

The next layer is more brushed gold and white, I added this layer to the base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Wondrous Wreath set, with cherry cobbler ink on the lower corner of the white card stock.

The wreath is from the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath set. and I stamped with versamark onto brushed gold and then embossed with white. The next layer is embossed with gold and then the berries are embossed with cherry cobbler embossing powder. I cut the wreath out with the matching dies to theis set.  I added a small piece of cherry cobbler card stock behind my wreath and added it to the card with dimensionals.
The "JOY" is cut with gold foil paper and comes from the wreath set.  I laid the "joy" over the wreath and glued it in place.
I finished up with a couple of cherry cobbler little banners.

A Christmas House for the Paper Players

Happy Monday peeps!!!

So sorry for being so quite lately, things always get hectic this time of the year.

I had the day off and wanted to play with some new dies I got a few weeks back. I was anxious to pull out this fun house die!

I took a look at the challenge at The Paper Players and knew it would be great for using my new die.

A great color challenge for my Holiday House.

I die cut the house, actually two of them  using Cherry Cobbler card stock, the roof is Crumb Cake, the doors and windows are Mossy Meadow with Very Vanilla inserts, The window boxes are more Crumb cake and the flowers are Cherry cobbler. I embossed the front and back of the house using the woodgrain EF. I ran the roof pieces through my crimper and then glued them to the house, front and back.

The trees on the front are stamped using Mossy Meadow and are from the Holiday Home stamp set.
I cut them out and added them to the front using some dimensionals.

I die cut the icicles and tucked them under the roof. I then hand cut my snow and added it across the front. I added some red rhinestones to the trees and used some star dust stickles on the icicles and snow.

The chimney is not part of the house die but I thought it needed one so I cut a small strip and added the mortar lines with my white gel pen.
I made a box to add my house front and back to. I filled a cello bag with some mini snickers and tied it up with a cherry cobbler bow and then added snow flake to the center of the bow.

This makes a nice size box, it could hold some homemade goodies. I may make up a few more just for that purpose.

Hope you like, it was so much fun to put together, I had a Haunted Halloween house in mind when I got the die, just didn't get around to making that, maybe next year.

Sweet Sunday........Hello Fall

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath stamp set with it's matching framelits to make my fall wreath card.
I had not used this set yet and it is so fun!! It is one of the new polymer stamp sets and I was not sure I would like these but they are growing on me! They are very easy to use and line up!

I stamped the wreath using Hello Hone, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss ink.
I then used the matching framelit dies to cut it out.
The sentiment is from the For All Things stamp set.

I used Hello Honey card stock for the base of my card and then followed that with some Crumb cake card stock that I embossed using the Woodgrain EF. then I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and embossed using the Fancy Fan EF.  I hand cut the flag bottom and attached to the base.

The wreath is mounted on the card using some dimensionals.
I added a few gold sequins and it is done.
