Sweet Sunday......Making a List

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I decided to make a Christmas card using this cute new Santa set from Stampin Up called  Santa's List.

The DSP is from the Season of Style pack and the colors are awesome. The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler and then the next layer is Whisper White and then the first layer of DSP.
The next two layers of DSP are matted with Old Olive and more Cherry Cobbler card stock.

I added some Old Olive Satin ribbon to the side and three silver mini brads for my embellishments.
The main image is stamped with black onto some Whisper White card stock, I colored a hint of color onto his cheeks and added some stickles to his fur, but that really doesn't show in the pics.
The sentiment is stamped onto some old olive card stock and added at the bottom of the main panel.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the girls did with this sketch:

Curtain Call......Sunflower Happy

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Popping in here with a quick post, yesterday I had a chance to play a bit and I decide to take a look at Stacey's Curtain Call Challenge and I saw the beautiful inspiration piece:

I love Sunflowers, so I immediately knew I wanted to play along. I thought about it a bit and decide to make sunflower using This Tutorial by my sweet blogging friend Linda. the sunflower is made using Crinoline. Love the look of this sunflower.

The base of the card is Sahara Sand and then the DSP on here is from the Stampin Up Sweater Weather paper pack. the sentiment is from the Yippee Skippee  stamp set and The yellow border around the circle is made using one of the Chalk Talk framelit die, I cut two and then cut them in half and added them around the circle. The pearl flourishes are some I had in my stash.

Dynamic Duos......Thank You

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week at the Dynamic Duos Blog.

Had fun with these colors, I had an idea for this card when I saw the colors and it came together very quickly, which is not that normal for me. My cards generally take me awhile, this one was completed within 30 minutes. It is of course a fairly simple card so that helped! :)

I started with a base of crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of basic black. The main panel is Crumb Cake. I used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set with black stazon. The flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set and are stamped onto some Rustic White card stock again using black stazon ink. I used the matching punch to punch out the flowers.

I added some black buttons from my stash to the flower centers. The flowers were added to the base with dimensionals. The black rhinestones come from the retired Black Flourishes pack.
The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set. There you have it a quick CAS card.

Dynamic Duos......Hello You

Hello Peeps!!!

I am sharing a card today that I made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

Love this soft pallet.
I wasn't sure when I sit down to make something what I wanted to do, so I pulled out a favorite set, Stampin Up's Secret Garden, one of my go to sets.
I stamped the flower onto some rustic card stock with Versamark and embossed with some white embossing powder. I colored the flowers with my aqua painter and So Saffron ink pad. I cut them out with the matching die.

The sentiment is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.
The DSP is from the I Am Me paper pack and I used one of the Delicate Designs EF with Pistachio Pudding card stock down one side. I added some retired Very Vanilla satin ribbon and tied a bow.
After getting this all together I thought it needed something, so I took a paper doily and cutout the edge and slipped it under my sentiment circle piece and viola it was just what it needed.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Splitcoast Color Challenge.....Thankful For

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing my card for this week's Color Challenge on Splitcoast.

Such a vast array of beautiful fall colors for us this week
Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and a neutral of Very Vanilla, with a dessert option of fussy cutting or using a die if you have an aversion to cutting.

I decide to make some pretty fall leaves using the retired Stampin Up French Foliage stamp set. I stamped my leaves with chocolate chip ink onto some crushed curry card stock and then fussy cut them out. I then sponged the leaves with crushed curry, tangerine tango and then quite heavily with cajun craze. My sunflower is die cut with the Blossom Party die and crushed curry card stock and then sponged a bit with chocolate chop  ink. I used my 1-3/8 inch circle punch for the center with chocolate chip card stock and embossed with the perfect dots EF.

The base of the card is a 5-1/2 inch square and all the DSP is from the Stampin Up Sweater Weather pack.
The sentiment comes from the Truly Grateful stamp set.
Now before you all say anything I know Sunflowers have green leaves, but just think of mine as one I picked and added to my arrangement of fall leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.......Creepy Crawly Halloween

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

It is that time of the year when I want to make Halloween cards, and this was a fun and easy one to put together. I started with a base of Summer Starfruit card stock and then I used some Basic Black to mat my DSP, which comes from the Stampin Up Witches Brew pack.

The sentiment and the bats is from the Halloween Bash stamp set and the cute little Pumpkin comes from the now retired Spooky Bingo Bits.
I colored my sentiment using Black, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Starfruit markers. I matted that panel using my inverted scallop  nesties. The fence is a MS punch. I added a few black rhinestones at the top.
Hope you like it.

Celebrate Halloween

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Finally some cool weather has arrived in my area and it feels like fall can't be far away!
Love it!

Today I am sharing a cad I made using a couple of challenges first up is the Splitcoast Ways to Use It Challenge and also I used the Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.

The Ways to Use it challenge was an easy one: use Designer Paper, easy peasy, you all know I love the Designer Paper. This fun paper comes from the Stampin Up Witches Brew pack. the sentiment comes from the Halloween Bash stamp set and I used the single stamp called Off the Grid behind the sentiment along with some splotches that came with one of my Paper Pumpkin kits.

I used my Chevron Punch for the three black accents on the orange panel. I added a button with some twine and three black rhinestones to finish it up.

Be sure and come by tomorrow for my Sweet Sunday card made using this paper and sentiment. Here is a little sneak peek:

Thanks for coming by today

Happy Harvest Pumpkin Box

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

I am popping in here today with a quick share, I made this pumpkin box awhile back and realized I hadn't shared it with you all.

Don't you love the "wood" look it has. I used some of the Stampin Up Natural Composition Specialty Paper.  I used this TEMPLATE for my pumpkin.

I decorated the top with some leaves, twine and curly "tendrils" made with the same paper the box is cut from.
This is a fun and easy box to make and it will hold alot of goodies, it would be great at each place setting on you Thanksgiving table.

Hope you like it. thanks for stopping by today!

Splitcoast Color Challenge....Birthday Greetings

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for my second week guest designing with the Color Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers

Our colors this week:

Midnight Muse, Strawberry Slush, and Pear Pizzazz.
Tell me, what is there not to love about this combo? I can make my fave kind of card, anything with flowers!!!

I started off with s base of Crumb Cake and then some Pear Pizzazz DSP from a retired in-color pack and matted that with some white card stock. Next is some  Midnight Muse DSP from the Print Poetry Pack and I added a punched border to the edges of that using the dotted scallop ribbon punch.

The flowers come from the Secret Garden Stamp set and is stamped onto some rustic white card stock and then colored with my aqua painter and my Strawberry Slush ink pad.
I cut out my base flowers using the Secret Garden framelit dies and cut out the next layer with my paper snips and added them over the base flower with dimensionals. I mounted my flowers onto a paper doily with a circle of crumb cake card stock layered in the middle. I die cut a few leaves using the same framelit dies and added them around the flowers. I added  a scrunchy triple bow with an antique brad in the center.
I finished it all off with some large basic pearls in the flower centers and three regular pearls in the upper corner.

Hope you enjoy my creation. Thanks for stopping by!

Splitcoast Color Challenge Guest Designer, Fall crafts and Christmas Tree Ornies

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

So sorry for being so quiet here on the blog lately, I thought I would pop in for a minute and share a card that I made for the Color Challenge this week at SplitcoastStampers.
I am guest designing with all the color ladies this month and it is so fun! I hope you will join us!

The colors this week come from the fabulous Vicki Dutcher, you can visit her blog All I Do Is Stamp or enjoy her beautiful Gallery Here.
The colors she picked for us this week are :

A Beautiful Blue Pallet, I was a bit nervous, since my stamping mojo has been on hiatus lately and I knew I wanted to make a card with flowers, my comfort zone!

I actually made two cards trying to make something I really liked, but when you have your heart set on flowers and the colors are blue you have to stretch the imagination just a bit...

I love these flowers regardless of the colors, the Stampin Up Stippled Blossoms are a perfect set in my opinion.
The sentiment is from the Wetlands set, another pretty set!

The second card I am showing you is actually the first one I made, very CAS.

Dont'you love this flower set? The Stampin Up Too Kind is another fave of mine this catalog.

I wanted to take a minute to show you the wood crafts I have been working on lately:

I have been selling these at a local store in my area and a few things to family and friends.

I will also be taking order for my ever so popular Christmas Tree Ornaments

Shoot me an e-mail if you are wanting some.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Zoo Babies.....Congratulations

Happy Monday Peeps!!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made awhile back and forgot to post here.
This was made using the fun Stampin Up set called "Zoo Babies".

I love the gray and yellow combo.
I started with a base of Basic Gray and then the next layer is the new Smoky Slate.
I then used another piece of basic gray and embossed with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.
I then sponged the embossed piece with some white craft ink.

The next layer is some Daffodil Delight and some Polka Dot Parade DSP.
I stamped the elephant with Smoky slate and then again with Daffodil Delight and cut out just the ear and  added it to the image with a dimensional.
The main image is mounted onto a Smoky Slate Die cut from the Delicate Doilies die.
I added some Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon and some Daffodil Delight Candy Dots!
The sentiment comes from the same set and is stamped onto some white card stock and curled and flagged at both ends.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.....Hello Pumpkin

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I just had to use this sweet little Pure Innocence stamp I ordered awhile back.
I love this line of stamps and yes, sometimes I stray , but the rest of the elements on the card are from Stampin Up.

I started with a base of Chocolate Chip card stock and then all the DSP on here is from the fun "Sweater Weather" paper pack.
I used it to paper piece my little girls clothes and bow. I even paper pieced the jack-o-lantern face that is on her shirt, which is a separate stamp so she can be created without it for non Halloween cards, love that.
How sweet is she? I mean seriously!!
I colored the rest of her using my copic markers.

I added a button and some twine to the corner and then added my sentiment flag.
