SSSC54 Kind Thanks

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! It is my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!

Here is the sketch we are working with this week:

I LOVE sunflowers, they are some of my favorite images to color, so when I saw these nesties, I HAD to have them! I just got them in the mail this past week and knew I wanted to use the sunflower for my circle element on the sketch.

The sunflower is fairly large by itself, almost 4 inches across, so my card is fairly large. It is 5-1/2 inch square. The base is made from kraft card stock, I followed that with some chocolate chip card stock. The DS paper is from the new SU Sweet Pea Pack. I used Crushed Curry card stock to cut out two of the sunflowers, I sponge with chocolate chip while the die was still on the paper. The sentiment is from the "Thank You Kindly" stamp set. I stamped it with black stazon onto white card stock and sponged the edges with chocolate chip ink. I hand cut the end and curled it a bit to make it "wave". I added a strip of chocolate chip card stock to the side with a line of gold brads.

Well, that is all from me, let's see what the rest of the Sketch Team has for you today.

Good Friday Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card made with the Fall to Layout #76 on the Clean & Simple Blog.

I love the clean & simple or CAS style, but I find it hard to achieve, well achieve and be something I like. Which leads to my card today.

You know I had to add an extra layer and I am still using all the papers from my last post, hey they where still out.....LOL!

Base is real red and then I followed that with some kraft card stock. The squares are 1 inch and are cut from the "Sending Love" DS pack. I used the "With All My Heart" stamp set in real red. The squares are added with dimensionals and I added some 1/4 inch real red grosgrain. The little flower was punched out with my three flower punch. I added a white brad to the center of the flower and added it to the card with another bit of dimensional. I still thought it "needed" something, so I added the piercing in the top corners.

So what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Love Ya!

Good Thursday Morning Peeps! Hope your week is going well.

Today's card is one I made with the sketch challenge over on the CCEE Stampers Blog.

I saw the sketch last night on Cindy Haffner's BLOG and started thinking about it. I thought the circles would look cool recessed and you know I have been loving me so kraft card stock lately. I started my card by cutting a 4-1/2 inch square of kraft. I used a 1-3/4 inch circle punch to punch out the circles in the kraft. I added four different pieces of DS paper from the Sending Love Speciality Pack, behind the circles and then another layer of kraft cradstock. When it is all sandwiched together like this it almost looks like chipboard. I used a circle piece of plastic canvas to do the piercing around each circle.

The letters are cut with my naturally serif sizzlit die strip with real red cardstck. The heart in the corner is from the "I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. I added some real red grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment panel is mounted to the card with dimensionals and the circles panel is on dimensionals too.

Well, that is all from me today, we are expecting some bad winter weather later today and tomrrow, with possible power outages, so if I am gone for awhile, that is why.

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo123 I Love You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card is made with the sketch over on the Mojo Monday Blog.

You could pick round or square or both....I picked round! I love making these round cards....they are so much fun!

After seeing this BEAUTY, made by blogging friend Marisa, I had to run to Michael's to find that fabulous sentiment stamp! My card is very much inspired by Marisa's beautiful card!!!

I used my circle scallop nesties to make the base out of PTI white card stock. I followed that with some DS paper from the "Sending Love" Speciality Pack and some more swiss dotted embossed white on the left side. I added some edging under the sentiment panel and to the side with my new scallop trim edge punch. The hearts are from the "I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and punched out with my heart to heart punch. I stamped the hearts in both real red and pretty in pink ink. I added the hearts to the card with dimensionals. Lastly I added a red bow with a white button and another stamped heart in the center.

Well, that is all from me today, Hope you find time to do something that makes you happy today!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC58 Thank You

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!! Can you believe it? The last Tuesday of January, the last Tuesday for me as Mercy's Guest Muse! I have had such a good time working along Mercy and all her uber talented design team. It has been an honor....Thanks girls!!!

Now onto my card......which is a "Thank You" to all! I am so in love with this flower stamp, it comes from the "Abundant Hope" set from the new Occasion mini.

My card base is made with PTI white card stock and I followed that with some so saffron card stock and then more white that I ran through my cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. The flowers are stamped with black stazon onto some 140# weight watercolor paper. I colored it with my aqua painter and certainly celery, so saffron, apricot appeal, barely banana and pumpkin pie ink. I used my largest rectangle nestie to cut out the flowers with. I then sponged bashful blue all around the flower while leaving the nestie in place. I matted with so saffron and added a edge at the bottom with my Fleur-di-lis edge punch. The sentiment comes from the "For All You Do" stamp set. I stamped it onto some scrap watercolor paper with black stazon. I sponged the edges with more bashful blue and pierced along the bottom. I added a button, from my stash, with some crochet twine through it.

Well, that is all for me today, be sure and check out the rest of the Muses' and see what they have created.

Hello Friend!

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for the week!

Today's card was made for 2 challenges, first up Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 14 and the sketch challenge this week at Our Creative Corner.

Don't you just love this yummy color combo? Bashful Blue, whisper white, orchid opulence and almost amethyst. Beautiful, soft colors, made me think spring. My card is based on this one by Dana Grothaus. I wanted to try and create the same sentiment, but with the supplies I have, mostly SU! :)

The card base is whisper white and I followed that with bashful blue and the DS paper is from a retired Hostess Print Pack. I added white strips, that I had embossed with a dot strip, across the top and bottom. The bottom one is wider than the top and I used the new scallop trim border punch on it too.

I cut the letters for the "Hello Friend" from bashful blue card stock using the naturally serif sizzlit strip die. I used the stamp set "For All You Do" for the flowers. I stamped them with orchid opulence and almost amethyst ink, and cut them out and mounted them with some dimensionals. The stem was stamped with old olive ink onto the white circle before the sentiment was glued on. I added some silver sticky rhinestones to the center of the flowers. I finished the card with some orchid opulence 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC53 Kindness

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! It is my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!

Here is the sketch we are working with this week:

I have to say I was inspired by Nancy's Sweet Sunday Sketch Card from last week to pull out my Cottage Wall DS pack. I used it alot when I first got it and then hadn't used it lately. So that was my starting point for this card. I chose the DS designs I wanted to use and then I also used rich razzleberry and whisper white card stock.

The stamp set I used is a new fave of mine "Herb Expressions". The sentiment comes from the "Heard from the Heart" set. I inked up just the "kindness" on the stamp, by using some post it note paper to mask off the rest of the words. I stamped the flower or herb with black stazon and used my aqua painter to lightly color in the leaves with old olive ink and the tops with rich razzleberry ink. I used my new Border Scallop trim punch, which is from the SAB catalog, for the bottom edge of the second layer. I used my blossom and circle nesties to cut out the main image panel. It is attached to the base with some foam tape. I added some old olive buttons and some piercing under the sentiment to finish the card.

Well, that is all from me, let's see what the rest of the Sketch Team has for you today.

For All You Do

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card with you than I made back in October of last year. Do you remember this card? It was made with Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge. I made this one at the same time changing just the colors and DS paper. It is very bright and cheery, just what I need on a gloomy, rainy and chilly winter day.

It has a base of summer sun card stock and that is followed with some real red and the DS is from the Pink Flamingo pack. The white panel is a cuttlebug folder, can't remember the name of it right now. The stamp set is "For All You Do".

Well, that is all for today, hope you have time to do something you love today.

Thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo 122 For all You Do

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Mojo Monday Blog.

I started my card with a base of Kraft card stock. I love kraft and I am a huge fan of Heather Nichols, nobody does kraft like she does! The DS paper used is from the Sending Love Speciality pack. All the matts are made with real red card stock. I used the Vintage Vogue set along with the For All You Do set for the sentiment.

Alot of cutting and pop dotting on this card. I love the flowers in this set. I used the apron lace punch and some silver sticky rhinestones and some pretty in pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC57 "Friend"

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!! Can you believe it? It is already week 3 of my Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge Guest Muse gig!!!!! The time has just flown by!

I am again playing with some of my new stuff and making "Valentines"! This card uses the beautiful "Sending Love" Specialty Paper from the Occasions Mini. Love this paper. I have to tell you, this card is soooooo me. It uses lots of DS paper and textures. This card just came together rather quickly, for me. Once I picked the paper and the stamps out it took less than 30 minutes, which believe me, for me, that is quickly!

The stamp set used for all the hearts is "I {heart} Hearts" from the new mini. They are all mounted with dimensionls. I added some 1/4" pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon and the three red hearts at the bottom are punched with a MS punch.

Well, that is all for me today, be sure and check out the rest of the Muses' and see what they have created.

C4C Sweet Pea Felt

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Did you have a great weekend? It went fast but I had a ton of FUN!!!

Today's card is made with the sketch over on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. You all know I love a sketch challenge and this was a fun one.

The base of my card is made of chocolate chip and then I followed it with some rose red and and pretty in pink card stock. The DS paper is from a retired hostess print pack.

Saturday at stamp camp we made a few Valentine projects using this stamp from "Thoughts & Prayers" and added punched real red hearts to cover the flowers, SUPER cute. It got me thinking about using the felt flowers from the new "Sweet Pea Stitched Felt" pack in the same way. I stamped the leaves in old olive and then glued my felt flower pieces on with some tombow liquid glue.

I used my new apron lace punch for the piece across the bottom and then layered on some more rose red card stock and then some pretty in pink 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set and was stamped onto whisper white card stock with black stazon ink. I used the small and large oval punches for it. I finished by adding three pretty in pink mini brads.

Well, that's all from me for today, thanks so much for stopping by and remember to do something today that makes you happy! HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC52 Sweet Thoughts

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! It is one of my favorite times of the week.....time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

Here is our sketch for this week:

I so love this set "Wandering Words" from the first time I say it in the last mini. I had not inked up this particular stamp from the set, so I wanted to use it. I used my markers in old olive basic black and real red to color directly onto the stamp. I huffed on in after I had finished coloring and then stamped onto some whisper white card stock.

The base of my card is real red and I followed that with some whisper white that I had ran through the cuttlebug with my swiss dot embossing folder. I used the scallop edge punch on one end of the white piece. The real red DS paper is from a retired hostess print pack. I then added a strip of real red card stock down the side of the print paper. I added some piercing on the strip. The main image panel is matted with some more real red card stock and mounted to the base with some dimensional. I used a spiral clip with some real red grosgrain ribbon to the corner and three red brads to the main image panel.

Well, that is all from me, be sure and check out the other samples from the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team

With Sympathy

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!! Can't believe how fast this week has gone.

First up I have to say this card gave me fits, I worked on it for a long time yesterday, I was using this week's sketch challenge over at Splitcoast. I originally had the bottom panel white with the score lines like the top. I had it all done, but just didn't like it. I was determined to make it work, I tried adding some bling, I stared at it for ever, it just wasn't working. I put it aside, sometimes I just need to give myself some time away from a card or project I am working on to get a fresh prospective.

I went to town, I needed to get my nails done and do some grocery shopping, you know paper towels, toilet tissue, cat food, milk,....etc. When I got back to my stamping table last night after dinner....I still could not figure out what I needed to do to salvage this card.....so I just pulled out another sketch, this coming week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and went to work on it. It did not come easy either, I worked on it the entire time American Idol was on....an hour and a half. Got it done and I think it is cute, be sure to look for it this Sunday.

I still could not do anything with this little stinker......so I gave up....went off to play at pogo while watching Ugly Betty. Sometime in the night I finally decided I needed to rid this card of the ugly white panel at the bottom and add this DS paper. And there you go, it looks so much better, absolutely frustrating!! LOL...the anatomy of the card......I do stress so much over my cards.....and alot more lately!!! Not sure why, please tell me that you guys do this too, sometimes!

Now you know guys, I am a nut!!! Anyway the card is made with whisper white and rich razzleberry card stock. The stamp set is "Herb Expressions" and the sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set. The DS paper comes from the Cottage Wall and the Razzleberry Lemonade pack.

Well, that is all for me today, Thanks so much for coming by and ...........HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Vintage Vogue 2 Challenges

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

I did it again, combined two challenges on this card. I used the Splitcoast Color Challenge, which was rich razzleberry, pretty in pink and chocolate chip. I also used the Splitcoast Clean & Simple Challenge, to cut it out.

I used the new "Vintage Vogue" set and the sentiment come from the "On Your Birthday" set. I keep it CAS by using alot of white, the base is PTI white cardstock and I followed that with some rich razzleberry and another layer of white. The main panel is made up of pretty in pink and white. I stamped the vines directly onto the white piece with always artichoke ink. I angled the stamp and stamped twice, from opposite corners. I stamped onto some scrap whisper white the large flowers with rich razzleberry and the small flowers with pretty in pink ink. I cut them out and layered with pop dots and added to the main panel with dimesionals. I stamped a few leaves and cut them out and added them too. I also stamped the vines a couple more times onto scratch with rich razzleberry and always artichoke and cut out some elements and added to the main image. Now guess what, I had NO chcolate chip, so I added my sentiment to the base with chocolate chip ink. I used some razzleberry ribbon around the base and then added some silver rhinestones to the vines and flowers.

Well, that is all for me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC Get Well Wishes

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps and welcome to week 2 of my Mercy's Guest Muse gig! I am so loving this! Mercy is a super sweet girl and all her Muses are awesome.

So onto this weeks sketch:

Last week I told you that I was determined to use up some of my huge stash of retired SU paper. This card is made with some more of it. The base is pacific point card stock and the DS paper is from the "Good Morning Sunshine" pack, both retired. I still love these colors, don't you? I also used some summer sun card stock and chocolate chip card stock.

What is new? Well, the bird and branch is punched from the new "Extra Large Two-Step Bird" Punch! It is great!!! Love that bird and the fact you can punch his wing from another color and add it with a dimensional! Toooo cute!!! The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set and is stamped with black stazon onto the DS paper and then I used my word window punch to punch it out. I needed it to be a little smaller so I put the punched out piece back into the punch opening at one end and punched again! I finished my card off with some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon and three small white brads.

Well, that is all for me today, be sure and check out the rest of the Muses' listed below and see what eye candy they have created for your viewing pleasure.

One Card-Three Challenges??!!!!!

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! It is finally beginning to warm up a bit here. The snow and ice are melting and hopefully no more bad winter weather in the near future.

Today I am sharing a card I made with three challenges in mind. I have never really combined that many challenges in one card, but this one seemed to come together that way.

First up I used the sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog. I combined the sketch with the color challenge on Stacey's Stamping Stage and on a side note I was so honored to see that I was Curtain Call Color Challenge Show Stopper! with this card. I got a cool award to post on my blog, Thanks so much Stacey! Ok, back to this card, the third challenge for this card is from Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, this week's challenge, to create a Birthday card or project.

Got them all covered with this card I think!! The colors challenge is for chocolate chip, rose red, pretty in pink and very vanilla. I used chocolate chip for my base and then followed that with some rose red card stock and again the DS paper is from the retired Candy Lane pack. The red in that pack is actually riding hood red, but the pieces of DS paper I used didn't have alot of it and I think it goes with my rose red fairly well.

The stamps I used are from the "Friends 24-7" set and also the "On your Birthday" set. I stamped the damask in the BG with pretty in pink ink and added the sentiment over it with rose red ink. I added some very vanilla satin ribbon and the flower is cut with the "Flower Blossom" sizzix die. I added a jumbo vanilla brad to the center and added it to my card with some dimensionals. I then used the sizzlits little leaves in chocolate chip to added a few leaves around the blossom.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and remember tomorrow it is time for one of "Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge"

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC51 Starry Birthday

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! Are you ready for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! You know it is one of my favorite times of the week!

Today's card is super quick and easy. It has almost no stamping, just the sentiment that comes from the SU "Stem Sayings" set.

Here is the sketch we are working with this week:

The base of the card is Shara Sand card stock, I followed that with some so saffron card stock and all the DS paper is from the retired "Sweet Slumber" pack. I used my small and large star punch and some vintage copper brads. The center star is mounted with a dimensional. The so saffron is from last years SAB ribbon bundle.

Well, that is it for my card but be sure and visit each of the Sweet Sunday Stampers below for more samples using this weeks sketch!!!

PPA24 Friends

TGIF Peeps!

Today's I am sharing a card I made with the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.

I pulled out some retired paper to use with this card. I used some riding hood red and very vanilla card stock, and the DS paper is from the Candy Lane pack. This DS paper is so cute and really does it matter to the recipient that it is not current? I have soooo much retired paper that I intend to use up in the coming year, not that I won't by some new, but really I am running out of storage room for all my stuff! So nice that SU is coming out with the unmounted stamps, such a space saver.

The stamp set I used is the fabulous new set called "Vintage Vogue".....seriously awesome! I used some riding hood red and close to cocoa ink for the flowers and the friends images.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Whoo's Your Valentine?

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a cute Valentine box I made. I found the instructions for this box here.

The box is really big, it measures 5 inches tall by 3-1/2 inches wide. I made the box with some pretty in pin and real red card stock. I used some of the new "Sending Love" Specialty Paper. I used the "Whoo;s Your Valentine" Stamp set. I stamped the owl onto some watercolor paper and colored it with some chocolate chip and pretty in pink ink. I used a 1-1/2 inch circle and 1-3/4 inch circle punch to punch out the owl. I used my MS heart lace punch for the small hearts around the owl. I added the hearts that are punched out from the border punch to my circle with a small dimensional. I stamped the sentiment and hand cut out the flag and mat. The box's circle is cut with my circle and scallop circle nesties as is the circle flap closure. I used some very vanilla satin ribbon for the bow and added some hearts punched with the heart to heart punch to the bow with some silver elastic cord.

My box is made alot like the sample one with the tutorial, I just added the DS paper and changed the stamp set. the colors are a bit different as well. You should give this one a try. Super fun and a really nice Valentine gift, filled with your favorite candies.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

New Challenge Curtain Call

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

I was blog surfing a while back and came across a challenge that I hadn't seen yet or tried, Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge. This weeks colors are old olive, going gray, (I used basic gray) always artichoke and whisper white.

The base of my card is always artichoke and I followed that with whisper white that I had scored every 1/4 inch with my score pal. The main image is from the "Herb Expressions" Stamp set and the sentiment is from "Pocket Silhouettes" set. I used some old olive print paper and some gray taffeta ribbon.

I like how this card turned out, but I wasn't sure when I started with these colors how it would go!

Well, that is all for today thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo 120 Happy Birthday

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today I have a card to share made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

My card uses the "On a Pedestal" Stamp set. I used Shara sand card stock for the base. I followed that with soft suede and then the DS paper comes from the Thoroughly Modern pack. The sentiment is from the "On your Birthday" stamp set and is stamped onto the DS paper with black stazon. I stamped the pedestal base with Bermuda bay ink onto whisper white. I stamped the cake with soft suede and rose red ink and cut out the "icing" on the cake and glued it to the cake. The cake is added to the pedestal with some dimesionals. I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut out the center element. I added the cherry to the top also.

I used some soft suede ribbon and a button across the middle. I also added some silver sticky rhinestones under the ribbon. I used a MS punch across the bottom too.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
