Valentine Treats

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I have a fun Valentine Treat Holder to share.
I designed these to hold the Little Debbie Valentine Heart Shaped Cakes.

I used the Heartfelt Bundle along with the matching products, the Heart Doilies, the Faceted Gems, the satin ribbon and beautiful matching DSP.

These are really simple to make:

Start with a piece of card stock that measures:

7-1/2 X 8-1/2
Score on the 7-1/2 inch side @ 1 inch and 6-1/2 inch
rotate and score on the 8-1/2 inch side @
2-1/2, 3-1/2, 6 and 7.

Below is a pic of my template that shows the scores and cuts

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this project.
If you would like to buy the products for yourself,
I would be very happy for you to shop with me.
You can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
If you purchase from me be sure and use
my hostess code:

All orders 50.00 and over will receive a gift from me.
As always if your order is 150.00 or more don't use the hostess code, you will
still receive a gift from me.

Stinkin' Sweet

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

I am using the fun sketch at  CAS(E) this sketch
for my card today.

Also the theme challenge this week at The Paper Players is all about Love.

Do you think my stinkin' sweet skunk qualifies?
He is awful cute and spreading some love so I say yes!! :)
He comes from the Hey Love set, and he my be my favorite from the set.

I stamped the image and sentiment onto my oval die cut with Black Memento ink.
I colored with my Copic Markers.

I used a base of basic black card sock.
I then took another piece of basic black and embossed using the Corrugated EF.
I added a small piece of black gingham from the Botanical Butterfly pack.
I used a small strip of Real Red between the two layers.
I cut out a red scallop oval to mat my image piece and added it to the card with dimensionals.

I finished it off with a few basic rhinestones.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Over at Just Us Girls Challenge Blog it is word week and the word is Love.

I made another Valentine card, I used my other Valentine Card seen here
as the inspiration for this card.

I started with a white card base of thick whisper white.
I then used a layer of Lovely Lipstick card stock and then another piece of white that I embossed with the corrugated EF.

I die cut several pieces using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. I used Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick card stock and the DSP is from the All My Love pack.

I laid down by DSP at an angle and added the scallop border pieces to the edges.
I glued this directly to the corrugated embossed piece.

I then added the hearts that are going across the top of the DSP strip.

I then began layer up my die cuts with dimesionals until I achieved an arrangement I liked.
I stamped the sentiment using Lovely Lipstick and die cut with a stitched circle die.

I added a few little rhinestones to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!!

The challenge this week at Stamp, Ink Paper  is all about Love.

I had not used my Meant to Be stamp set and matching framelits yet, because to be honest, even tho I had seen tons of wonderful cards using it, I was uninspired and a bit intimidated by the set.
I told that to a friend and she was surprised and replied that she thought I was never intimidated by anything. LOL!! So many things intimidate me.

But once I stared to work with the dies a bit it all came together.

I die cut some hearts with  real red card stock and some DSP from the All My Love pack
.
All the die cuts beside the circle sentiment piece are from the framelits set.

 Thanks for stopping by today.

Shaker Fun

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I am back home after spending a few days with family,
the grandbabies make my heart soooo happy!!

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas,
doing what makes you most happy and with those that mean the most to you.

Onto my card for today.

I have seen a few shakers lately and decided to try my hand at a couple again.
Before I was never happy with my endeavors, but I watched a couple of videos and it helped, I am such a visual learner.

I used the Crazy About You stamp set for my flowers. I love that set.

The DSP is from a retired pack.
The sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I just used some red and gold sequins that I had on hand for my shaker ingredients.

Lots of foam tape was used to form the shaker portion and to add it to the base of the card.
I used thick whisper white card stock for my base and the shaker layer.

This card could be a nice Valentine card or even just for a person who is special to you, or even a Thank You for something nice done for you.

Thanks for coming by today.

Display Sample.....Yummy in my Tummy

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Finally getting the first post up with one of my display samples.

This set was my favorite, straight out of the box, when I got my supplies for stamping.
I didn't know the name as the set came with no paper cover showing the stamped images or the name. Just a clear case with the set in it. talk about hot off the press.....lol!!

I stamped the big ol monster onto some watercolor paper with black stazon and colored him with my gray ink pad and aqua painter,

I fussy cut him out and did the same with the center of his tummy. I colored it with red of course.

The BG paper is from the Neutrals paper pack and I used a small piece of the new Sending Love DSP.

I love how this one came out. The two monsters in this set are sooooo stinking cute

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Heart Day Mini Pails

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing some little Mini Paint Pail valentines I have been working on.

I was talking to my friend Wendy at WeeBeeStampin4Fun  the other day and  I mentioned these pails and that I was going to make some for work. I only had four here and I asked her if she knew if Michaels still carried them. She said she had seen them awhile back at her Michaels (of course she lives in PA and I live in MO).
She then  challenged me to get mine made and she would make hers and we could post them on our blogs today.
Well, that gave me the push to actually get them done.
I had four of the pails already but wanted a few more,
so I ran out to Michaels to pick up a few more. I ended up making 10.

I had decided before I got started that I wanted to make pom poms for the top.
I tried making some pom poms out of Bakers twine but they just don't look as full and fluffy as the ones made with yarn.
So I dug into my yarn stash and found some yarn to match my paper colors and made me up a bunch of pom poms!

I think they turned out pretty cute! I love the colors and papers and all the embellishments, some which are pre-made stickers.
I used the Stampin Up single stamp from last year I think called Happy Valentine Heart on some of them and the Happy Heart Day come from the Tags 4 You stamp set.
All the tags started with a Crumb Cake base punched with the Note Tag Punch. it was the perfect size for the mini pails.

I have a few close up pics for you:

The DSP comes from a My Minds Eye pack I picked up recently.

Don't you love the bows and pom poms?

The clothspins with hearts are some I had in my stash as well as the pretty paper roses.

So sweet and girly!
Hope you enjoy them and don't forget to hop over to Wendy's Blog
and see how she decorated her little pails!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Freshly Made Sketch....Whale

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

As you can see I took a bit of creative license with the sketch. I used one large flag instead of three smalls, but the basic idea is there.

I got this cute little Lawn Fawn stamp with matching dies recently and I thought it was perfect for this sketch. I stamped the two whales onto some white card stock and  colored with my copic markers. I then used the matching dies to cut them out. Same with the little heart.

I die cut a circle and added some DSP from the High Tide pack.
I popped up the whales and heart using some foam tape.
The sentiment comes from the same little set and I curled it around a bit to fit the circle and stamped using some Calypso Coral ink.
The large flag is made using a piece of paper from the same DSP and I hand cut the bottom and curled it up just a bit.
I added a bit of icicle stickles to the heart and a few silver sequins to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Vicki

Paper Players.......Love

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

Clean and Simple with the focus on the sentiment.

Not my usual style but I wanted to try. I decided to use some modeling paste on this card, which is popular right now and I had picked some up a few weeks back and had not opened.
I used the Stampin Up Hearts and stars Decorative Mask set to stencil on my hearts using the modeling paste. While still wet I sprinkled some extra fine glitter all over the hearts.
I then setit aside to dry while I made my diecut "love".

I used the retired Expressions thinlets and cut several loves from white card stock and then once using red glimmer paper.
I stacked up the white words gluing in between each layer and finished with the red glimmer paper.

You can see the height of the die cuts in this closeup and also get a glimpse of the modeling paste glittered hearts.

I then used a strip of DSP from the Stacked of Love pack and matted with someblack card stock that I embossed with a embossing strip, it is Stampin Up but I don't remember the name.
The red and black hearts are from a retired embosslit.

I think this fits the CAS with focus on the sentiment criteria perfectly.
Love how it turned out altho I did have to fight myself not to put any flowers on here...LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday......You Float My Boat

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I wanted to make a sweet little Valentine card and was going through some of my stuff and came across this MFT sailboat die I have had for awhile and have never used. I thought it would be perfect for this weeks sketch.
I first had to decide what DSP I wanted to use and I went to my new Stampin Up Stacked with Love pack and pulled out this pretty red stripe.
I love the red and crumb cake combo so that is what I decided to use for my card.
Tha base is Crumb cake card stock and then some Real Red and then the DSP.

The main panel is Real Red, Crumb Cake and White.

The boat is die cut with Crumb Cake and White. I die cut a Real Red circle to layer behind the boat.
The sentiment comes from my MFT  Pure Innocence Sailor stamp set.
I used my stamp positioner to line the sentiment horizontally.

I added a crumb cake little flag with a button and twine and then a few little hearts on the boat.
I think it turned out cute and I think hubby will like it too.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Happy Tuesday Peeps

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made the other day while playing with some crumb cake and real red combo.

I used the Stampin Up Too Kind Stamp set and stamped the flower heads with Real Red and the stems are Old Olive.

The sentiment comes form the Best of Love stamp set and I stamped using black ink.

I added some twine and a heart button from my stash and then a couple of black brads in the top corner.
Easy Peasy!

Sweet Sunday.....Wild Thing

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us today:

I decided to play around with my new Stampin Up set called "Life in the Forest". I had this idea for this sketch and this set to make a card for my Hubby. I gave him this card on Friday for Valentines Day,
I thought it turned out cute.
I made my base with Crumb Cake card stock and then the orange DSP comes from the Retro Fresh pack. This is my favorite DSP right now.
Another layer of Crumb Cake and then more DSP. The green DSP is from the "Birthday Basic" paper pack.
I hand cut my curvy hills.
I stamped the trees onto some cream card stock and colored with my copic markers. I then cut them out and added them to the scene with dimensionals.
I stamped the cute little raccoon onto some Smokey Slate card stock and colored in the black parts with a marker and then smoothed them out a bit with my aqua brush. I stamped him again and cut out the face and colored and added it to him with a dimensional.
Most people are all about the cute fox in this set, BUT I adore this little raccoon.

The sentiment is created using the Designer Typeset Photo polymer set. I spelled out the sentiment using individual letters, hence the crooked spacing and lines, but I am OK with it!
The little arrows below are also from the same set.

I decorated the inside with some more trees and added a little personal message for hubby.
"You Make My Heart Sing" using the Typeset letters.

Let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Paper Players....Happy Heart Day

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a cute little Valentine Treat holder.
The challenge this week at The Paper Players is "Sweet Treats"

I have this adorable mini coffee cups, thanks to my sweet friend Wendy, and have been itching to make some Valentine's with them.
This one uses some retired DSP and some pretty gray Chevron ribbon. Love how it turned out.

The little cloths pen with heart is some I had in my stash along with the round stickers I used on the top.
The cups are a little challenging to cover and I ended up taking one apart to make a template for myself. I found one on the web and printed it out and when I cut my DSP using it, it was too small, a waste of the DSP!
The carrier for the two cups is made using a tutorial on Becky Robert's Blog, Inking Idaho, that girl is a genius, I tell ya!!!
These cups are so tiny and just the right size for some kiss candy or M&M's or something like that.

I used the Tags 4 You stamp set for the Happy Heart Day, I put one on both sides of the carrier.
Once I got the DSP figured out they came together rather quickly I made 5 sets, I will show you some more later.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Dynamic Duos....Love You

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week at Dynamic Duos.

Real Red and Island Indigo, I still needed a couple of Valentine cards and I was inspired by one of my fellow Sweet Sunday Stampers Tracy Clemente, for my card. She makes gorgeous cards and I wanted to try one making it with my Stampin Up supplies.

I started my card with a base of Rustic Cream card stock and then the next layer is Island Indigo and the DSP on here is from a retired pack called More Amore.
I used the Hearts a Flutter and Best of Love stamp sets on the main image panel.

I embossed a strip of Indigo card stock with the woodgrain EF and added it to the side. I used my full heart punch and some twine and button to top it off.

I think it turned out kinda cute, what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by today.
