MTSC67 You're Too Kind

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. What a fun sketch huh?

I pulled out my Pick a Petal stamp set, haven't used it in forever, and I have seen a few people using it of late around blogland, so I have been thinking of it and this sketch was perfect for it. I off set my flower to the top side of the main image panel to account for the small element from the sketch.

The base of my card is barely banana and that is followed by some chocolate chip card stock. The DS paper on this card is from the Tall Tales paper pack and also from the Tea Party paper pack.

The sentiment is from the SAB "Whimsical Words" stamp set. The flower is up on dimensionals as is the whole main panel. I used the pinking heart edge punch and added some chocolate chip grosgrain and bow. I used my slot punch to thread the ribbon up through the main piece.

Well, that is it from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Celebrate You

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with two challenges. The sketch is from Jen's Sketch for you to Try and the colors are from Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 23.

The colors this week are Kraft, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black and Whisper White. These colors are so pretty together and my card looks so much nicer IRL. When I look at the card the colors just pop, in the photo, not so much!

The base of my card is Kraft and I followed that with pretty in pink and then basic black. The DS paper is from the Sweet Pea DS paper pack and the retired Night & Day paper pack. The flower is from the "Inspired by Nature" stamp set and I used my markers to color directly onto the rubber and then stamp onto whisper white card stock. I used my nesties to cut out the mats for the main image. It is then mounted to the base with some foam tape. I added a pretty in pink butterfly cut with the Embosslit Beautiful Wings die. I added two black mini brads to the center of the butterfly.

The sentiment comes from the "A Little Birthday Cheer" stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto Kraft card stock. I added three pretty in pink brads.

SSSC62 Just Because

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!!! Time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

I am super excited about this sketch because Karen chose a card of mine to base the sketch on. You can see my original card here.

This is the sketch:

The base of my card is rose red card stock. I followed that with certainly celery and then pretty in pink card stock. It is very hard to believe that I used NO DS paper on this one.

My original card had a large tag for the focal point and I guess I couldn't break that style because I made this one the same. The main image is from the SU stamp set "Close as a Memory". I inked it up with my markers in rose red, pretty in pink and certainly celery and then used my aqua painter to mix the colors around a bit. The sentiment comes from the retired "Best Yet" stamp set.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

MTSC66 Simply Said....Thinking of You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! The week is flying by and we are on the down hill slide to the weekend. I am leaving on Friday afternoon to go a friends condo at the Lake of the Ozarks for a Girls Getaway Weekend!! I am super excited. So this might be my last post of the week, we will see, but I have alot to get done before leaving and today I am doing a bit of shopping and having lunch with a friend.

But onto what you are really here for. Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge You know I love Mercy and her awesome sketches!!!!

The card base is rich razzleberry and is a 5 inch square. I followed that with some whisper white and pale plum card stock. The DS paper is from the beautiful Cottage Wall paper pack, seriously I am on my second pack of this paper!!

The stamp set I used is an oldie, that quite frankly I have never been a big fan of, but I pulled it out and dusted it off, and gave it a bit of love. The flowers are stamped with black stazon onto the pale plum card stock. I used razzleberry ink and my aqua painter to color in the flowers. I added some silver sticky backed rhinestones to the center of the flowers. I them matted that piece with rich razzleberry card stock and then some whisper white. I pierced the top and bottom of the white piece. I added some rich razzleberry ribbon and bow. The sentiment comes from the "Three Little Words" stamp set. I finished it off with three more silver rhinestones.

I wanted to show you a picture of sme beautiful daffodils, picked from my yard yesterday.......amazing they survived this past weekend, with the snowfall and freezing temps that came through.

Beautiful...huh? They were all laying over and looked so sad, so I had to cut them and now they look so pretty, just makes me smile!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Live, Laugh & Love

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share covers two different challenges. First up is Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 22. The second one being the layout I used from Clean & Simple Stamping Blog, Fall to Layout 83.

The color challenge this week is Real Red, Pink Passion, Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White and Basic Black........wowzers, that combo is a bit frightening!!!!

I knew from looking at the sketch that I wanted the main focal to be my sentiment, So I went looking through my stamps to find one that would work. I came upon this one from the "On Your Birthday" Stamp set. I inked up part of the stamp with real red ink and then used my black marker to ink the bottom half of the stamp. I stamped that on whisper white and matted it with basic black that had one edge punched with the pinking heart border punch.

The base is white and then I followed that with basic black and then some real red that I had used the swiss dot embossing folder on. The sentiment was added to the base with some foam tape. The balloons come from the "Crazy for Cupcakes" Stamp set. I stamped them onto the yo yo yellow and pink passion card stock. I cut them out and mounted them to the card with dimensionals. There is two layers on each balloon. I used my white gel pen to add a highlight to each balloon.

So in the end I really don't mind this color combo, it is not as scary as I first thought.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

SFYTT Friend to Friend

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card is made with Jen's Sketch for you to Try. This was a fun little sketch to work with.

My card was inspired by this card by Chat, she does beautiful work be sure to click over and check out her blog.

The base of my card is whisper white and I followed that with some basic black and then pretty in pink. I ran the pink through the cuttlebug with a hounds tooth embossing folder, it doesn't really show that much. The DS paper is from the Sweet Pea paper pack and each strip is backed with basic black. I used my blossom nesties for the focal mats and the cute little bird in a cage stamp comes from the SAB "Happy Moments" stamp set. Isn't it adorable? I added a silver eyelet, can't remember the last time I used one of those. I used some black gingham ribbon for the "hanger".

The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I was inspired to hang the flag piece off the card from yesterdays Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample. I punched a pretty in pink flower and added a black brad and added it to the end of my sentiment flag. I finished it off with some more black brads on the strips behind the focal image.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC61 Happy Birthday

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!!! It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!!

Here is the sketch for this week:

Ok, it is simple, not much stamping and it's monochromatic but still cute huh? I like the monochromatic look and when I decided I wanted to use this big daisy for my focal point and I cut them out with my melon mambo card stock the rest of it just had to stay simple. I looked for some DS paper to match and came upon this paper from the "Razzleberry Lemonade" paper pack. The card base is melon mambo, followed by whisper white and then the DS paper. I used the pinking heart border punch, which I just got, I was trying to convince myself that I didn't need anymore punches, but who am I fooling I NEED all the punches I see!!! The sentiment comes from the "Stem Saying" stamp set. The middle of the daisies is a big silver flower brad. I have found it hard to use many of these big brads, but it really works for the center of this daisiy.

Well, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

TESC Thank You

Good Saturday Morning Peeps! Sorry for the long silence from me this week, the power cord to my laptop quit working on Tuesday. I had to get a new one that had to be special ordered and even tho I paid extra for overnight shipping it did not arrive here til yesterday afternoon. In the mean time I did get alot of cleaning and sewing done, I have been making a ton of those rag purses that are wildly popular right now. They are alot of fun to make and oh so easy even tho I don't like sewing all that much, these are fun.

Well, on to today's card. I used this weeks sketch at Taylored Expressions Blog.

I used rich razzleberry and crushed curry card stock for this one. The DS paper is from the Razzleberry Lemonade paper pack. The flowers come from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set which is a hostess set. The sentiment used is from the "Short & Sweet" stamp set. I think now that the card is done I should have used a sentiment that was a bit bigger, this one seems a bit lost on the panel, whatcha think? The button is from my stash and really does match the crushed curry, even tho the picture makes it look like it doesn't. I added a clip and a bit of razzleberry ribbon to the upper corner.

Well, that is all from me, be sure to check back tomorrow for my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Sample!

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Curtain Call....Thanks So Much

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!! I am a bit late getting my post up today, I had this card done yesterday, but just didn't get my post scheduled.

The card I am sharing today was made with Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 21. The colors this week are Always Artichoke, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.

I started the card with a base of Barely Banana and followed that with the always artichoke then the certainly celery and the artichoke DS paper is from a retired hostess print pack.

Next is a strip of barely banana that I used my fiskars apron lace punch on one edge. I then added a strip of certainly celery that I pierced both edges. I added two strips of grosgrain ribbon.

My "tag" is made up of whisper white, always artichoke and barely banana. The stamp set I used for the flourish is "Friends 24-7". I stamped the flourish with certainly celery and then the sentiment, which is from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set, is stamped with black stazon. For my accessories I added some silver sticky rhinestones and a bit of certainly celery ribbon to the top of the tag. The tag is then mounted to the card base at a bit of an angle with some foam tape.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

SFYTT Happy Easter

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card made with Jen's Sketch for you to Try.

I started my card with a 5" base of so saffron. I followed that with a piece of white that I had scored with my MS scoring board. I used two DS prints, the so saffron piece comes from the "Tall Tale" paper pack and the pretty in pink comes from the "Prints Pack" a retired level one hostess pack.

I used the "Fifth Avenue Floral" stamp set for the lilies. I stamped them with black stazon and colored them with my aqua painter using my pretty in pink ink pad. I stamped them again onto more white and used my circle nesties to cut out the circle. I cut out the colored lilies and mounted them over the bottom ones with some foam tape.

For the embellishments I added some so saffron grosgrain ribbon and some tiny silver rhinestones. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I stamped the "Happy Easter" with black stazon onto so saffron card stock and used the word window punch to punch it out. I added two more silver rhinestones to the sentiment piece.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC60 Happy Birthday

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Today Karen has a really fun sketch for us:

I loved the sketch from the moment I saw it, you know, because of the flowers. :) I thought it would be a great time to try out my new Sizzix sizzlits Floral Fusion Die. I started out by choosing some fun colors for my flowers, melon mambo, crushed Curry and pumpkin pie. Since the sizzlits die has three sizes of flowers I cut out three in each color. I layered them up with a dimensional between each layer and added a mini black brad in the top flower. I have seen these flowers made in alot of different ways, but I like them all lined up in a row, toooo cute huh? Each flower is layered onto the card with more dimensionals. The card base is melon mambo and that is followed with some whisper white that was ran through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I added the tag sentiment. I thought it looked, oh you know, unfinished. So I cut out a few leaves with the Sizzlits Little Leaves Die with some DS paper from the Tall Tales DS paper pack and then three more mini black brads and finally......done.

Well, lets see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have for you today:

Just For You

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch on Taylored Expressions Blog.

I think this is first time I have participated in this sketch. This was a fun sketch to work with and I can see alot of possibilities with it. I again am using the "Asian Artistry" stamp set. The DS paper is from the retired "Haiku" paper pack, that paper just seems to me to be made for this flower!

I stamped the flower onto some watercolor paper and used my aqua painter and ink from the ink pads to color the flower. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set. I added some 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and some buttons to finish off this card.

I am keeping it short and sweet today as I have alot to get done before heading out to friends for some stamping. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

PPA Color Challenge CASE

TGIF Peeps!!!

I made this card for the color challenge this week on the Pals Paper Arts Blog. When I saw the colors it made me think of a card by Karen Giron I saw here on her blog and also in the Stampin' Success Magazine. Her card used the kraft called for in the challenge and she had used old olive DS paper for her rolling hills, I just changed it up with some garden green and certainly celery DS paper. I used a different stamp for the sentiment and I added a bit of 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon at the bottom of the card.

I have to tell you sometimes CASEing a card is much harder than doing my own design. I struggled alot to get the hills look right. I like how the card came out and I can say that since I didn't design it......lol!

The tree is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. I inked up the leaves with garden green ink and then used my chocolate chip marker to add the trunk and branches of the tree. I stamped the tree trunk onto the garden green DS paper and then aligned it up to the trunk of the tree that was stamped onto the kraft base. The next two layers of "hills" are mounted with dimensionals. I added the ribbon afterwards. The sentiment comes from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set and is stamped with black stazon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

CAS57 Thinking of You

Good Thursday morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Clean and Simple(CAS) Challenge this week on Splitcoast.

The challenge this week was CAS challenge: a new & different kind of shape-abilities.
Layer 2 different shapes on your card while keeping it CAS.

I started this card out with a base of white and then I layered more white that I had used an embossing folder This layer was added to the base with some foam tape. I then used my scallop nesties to cut out a circle with some rich razzleberry. I added this to the base with more foam tape. I stamped the flowers from the SU "Happy Harmony" stamp set onto some more white I added the sentiment frm the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" set and is stamped with black stazon. I cut this shape out with my Label two nesties and added it to the base again with more foam tape. I threaded some sheer white ribbon under the first layer and brought it around and tied a bow to the side.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC64....With Sympathy

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

This has got to be one of my all time favorite color combos, rose red, basic black and kraft. I stamped the flowers from the "Abundant Hope" stamp set onto the kraft card stock. I colored them in with a blender pen and some shite craft and rose red ink. I used some always artichoke and old olive ink for the leaves and stems.

The DS paper is from a print pack. I made the card base from kraft and it is a 5 inch square. The little sentiment comes form the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set.
I used the scallop trim punch and added three black mini brads.

Curtain Call.....Wish Big

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 20.

The color challenge this week is real red, bashful blue, whisper white and certainly celery. Gorgeous spring colors huh?

I decide to do some butterflies with the Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings. I cut out three one in each of the colors. I layered them up by mixing the three colors and added two white brads to the middle of each. I mounted them to the whisper white piece with some foam tape. I matted the white piece with some bashful blue and the sentiment is stamped with real red ink and come from the "Short & Sweet" stamp set.

The base of the card is real red and I followed that with a piece of whisper white that I had ran through my cuttlebug with the swill dot embossing folder.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SFYTT Happy Easter Tulips

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card is one I made with Jen's Sketch For You to Try.

I have been seeing these tulips all around that are made with the wing from the large two step bird punch and I wanted to give them a try myself. They are so much fun and cute. Just punch three wings and sponge the edges and layer together to make the tulip. I used the leaf/branch from the same punch for the stems and leaves. Now, I know, in nature the tulip does not have this kind of leaves, but I took a bit of artistic license with this because I wanted to use the punched leaves.

I used pretty in pink, so saffron, certainly celery and almost amethyst for the colors on my card. The DS paper is from the "Tea Party" paper pack. I had really overlooked that pack in the past, but I finally ordered some and I really love the colors, very springy!!!

The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I wish I had a "Welcome Spring" or something like that sentiment in that set, this card really needs a Happy springy sentiment, but it could be a pretty spring birthday card or a Mother's Day card or whatever.

I used the scallop trim edge punch and added some pretty pink checked ribbon at the base of the tulips. The sketch had an accent in the top corner of the circle element so I added some of the pretty in pink satin ribbon on a spiral clip for that.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

The sketch:

The base of my card is basic black and I followed that with some melon mambo and the DS paper is from the retired "Night & Day" paper pack.

I stamped the flower with melon mambo ink three times without re-inking the stamp. I pierced all around the image and added a spiral clip with a little melon mambo ribbon. The sentiment is from the same set and stamped with black stazon. I added some piercing to this piece as well and then finished it off with three black sticky pearls.

PPA Spring Challenge Cards

TGIF Peeps!!

Today's cards are a CASE of mine own card seen here. I made that card back in January. I was thinking spring then, and still am!!! LOL!

When I saw the challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts was a Spring Theme, I knew I wanted to make some more of that card with the beautiful daffodils in the "Abundant Hope" SU stamp set. Love, love, love those flowers and they are one of the first signs of spring, mine are coming up and they make me smile every time I see their little green stems and buds.

The Sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" Stamp set. I used the Fleur-de-Lis edge punch and the buttons are from my stash.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SC270 Lucky Duck

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with this week's sketch at Splitcoast.

A really great sketch but my main image of the cute little ducky from the SU retired set, "Wagon Full of Fun" covers up part of the BG, which it shouldn't if I stuck true to the sketch but I wanted to use that duck, so..........

The base of my card is riding hood red and I followed that with some whisper white. I stamped my sentiment, from the same set and then ran it through my cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. The DS paper is from the also retired "Washington Apple" paper pack. I matted the DS paper with some riding hood red. I used my apron lace edge punch at the bottom. I put a couple of narrow strips of pumpkin pie card stock at the top and bottom of the DS paper and them pierced them.

The Duck is stamped onto white with some black stazon, twice. I colored in the beak and feet with pumpkin pie ink and the bow with riding hood red ink. I cut out the bow and the wing and mounted them with some dimensionals. I added some riding hood red ribbon across the center.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC63 Happy Easter

Happy Wednesday Peeps!! Hope your week is going well so far!

Today I am sharing a card I made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. What a great sketch huh? I am sure I will use this one again and again.

I love the daffodils in the "Abundant Hope" set, they are so pretty and perfect for water coloring. My card base is a 5 inch square. I used so saffron card stock for matting the DS paper, which comes from the "Tall Tales" paper pack. I used my oval nesties to cut out the main image, I left the nestie in place to do a bit of light sponging around the flowers with some bashful blue ink. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set. I stamped it with black stazon onto some scrap watercolor paper and cut it out. I rounded the corners of one end and used the edge of the curly label punch on the other end. I pierced a bit under the sentiment and mounted it to the main image panel with some dimensionals. I added some silver sticky rhinestones on the corners of the second layer and the end of the sentiment piece. I used old olive grosgrain ribbon around the card under the flower panel.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo & Curtain Call Set

Good Tuesday morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card and a petal box set that I made using Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 19 and also the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

The color challenge is for rich razzleberry, very vanilla, bashful blue and pink pirouette. I had to dig a bit to find the pink pirouette, I finally found a couple of scraps. I made the petal box first:

I cut out four petal cards from the sizzix die with rich razzleberry and joined them together to form the box. I layered each side with very vanilla and then some bashful blue that I had use the swiss dot embossing folder. The flower is created with the large flower punch. I used the pink and then stamped it with the French script BG stamp in razzleberry. I sponged the edges and snipped them into the center a bit. I did add another color to the mix with the leaves, in certainly celery, done with the 5-petal flower punch. The center is from the boho and three flower punch. I added a very vanilla brad to the center and tied the box up with some vanilla satin ribbon.

Next came the matching card:

The card is made with all the same colors and the same flower. The sentiment on the card comes from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set. I stamped that with razzleberry ink onto the vanilla card stock. I added to razzleberry strips above and below the sentiment, I punched the edge of those with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Well, that is it from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SFYTT Wonderful Friend

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today's card is made with Jen's Sketch For You To Try. I used some retired DS paper on this one, it is from the retired Sweet Slumber paper pack. It is one of my all time favorites, and even tho I bought 2 packs the beautiful blue gingham print is almost all gone from both packs, boo hoo!!!!!

I started this card with a base of Shara Sand, I matted both pieces of the DS paper with baja breeze card stock, also retired. I used another fave of mine the "Wonderful Favorites" Stamp set. I stamped with both riding hood red and baja breeze ink. I used the Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings for my butterfly with some riding hood red card stock. I added some silver sticky rhinestones to the butterfly and to the top corner. Also, do you see that cute little baja punched border peeking out from behind the circle, it is a new MS punch I got on Saturday, toooooo flipping cute!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
