Sweet Sunday......Santa

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

What a fun sketch, this card didn't turn out anything like I had envisioned when I began, I had originnally planned on using my some of my Season of Style Journaling Tags to make a quick card. I was down to the wire and thought I could get it done quickly. The vision went awry when I started working tho and I ended up stamping this Santa. I love this image from Stampin' Up's Santa's List. I stamped with some Black Stazon and colored him with my aqua painter and ink pads. I stamped a second image and cut out the list and Santa's hand. I curled the bottom of the list around a small wood skewer. I added some dazzling details to his fur for added sparkle.

I did use one element from the Journaling Tags, the small little flag up by Santa's head is cut from one of the tags. The sentiment on here is from the A Banner Christmas. The button/twine element consist of a retired Cherry Cobbler Button and some hemp twine. The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler card stock and then the next layer is Old Olive and then the DSP is from the Season of Style pack.

Sweet Season Easel Card

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with a retired set I recently acquired. I have wanted this one for a long time and finally I found it. It is Stampin Up's retired "Sweet Season" and this is my favorite image in the set.
I stamped the image with black and colored with markers.
After getting the image colored I decided to make it into a fun easel card.

The DSP on here is from the Sweater Weather pack. Love the colors in this. The ribbon is also retired, some satin Pumpkin Pie ribbon.
The sentiment is perfect for this card it comes from another retired set called "Give Thanks".

Close up of the sweet image:

Hope you enjoy this sweet little Easel Card.

Happy Birthday Anne Marie

Today is my sweet friend Anne Marie Hile of Stampin' Anne Birthday and we are having a Surprise linky BIRTHDAY party over at Dynamic Duos for her!!!!
Anne Marie is a sweetheart in every way, so kind, so caring and so supportive. I love how spunky she is and her sense of humor. I can not say enough about how much I love her, she is an animal lover and advocate not to mention a card maker extraordinaire.

I knew right away that I wanted to make her a pink, girly card, this is what I came up with:

I made her a bouquet of pink roses. The DSP is from the retired Stampin Up Fan Fair pack, and I used that for the colors on my card. The base is Crumb cake and then the next layer is Soft Suede and then the two pieces of DSP.
I then added a strip of Soft Suede that I embossed with the new Stylish Lines EF.
Then I added a paper doily and a very vanilla die cut circle for the base that I made my flower arrangement on.
The sentiment is from the Simply Sketched stamp set. I added some pretty silver ribbon throughout the arrangement  along with some greenery and fern branches made with punches. The center of the roses all got a basic pearl and I added pearls to the corner of the card for the finishing touch.

I hope Anne Marie has a fabulous birthday!
Now head on over to the Dynamic Duos Blog and join the party!

Freshly Made Sketch.....Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Even though I am in full on Christmas card making mode here right now I couldn't let the fall pass by without making one of my punched pumpkins.  When I saw this sketch I knew it needed a pumpkin. :)

I keep it very CAS.

The base is Chocolate Chip card stock and then a layer of Rustic Cream card stock. The DSP  on my card is all from the Stampin Up Sweater Weather pack.
I used my wide oval punch for the pumpkin. I added some Old Olive leaves and stem. The "Happy Thanksgiving" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I finished it off with a twine bow and two basic pearls.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday......Christmas Wreath

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled out my Stampin Up single stamp called Wonderful Wreath. I stamped the wreath with always artichoke ink and with old olive ink onto some very vanilla card stock. I cut out the always artichoke wreath and then cut out some of the leaves on the old olive wreath and added them to the artichoke wreath. I added some small cherry cobbler circles for berries on the wreath. I then punched my bird using the Modern Medley DSP and the two step Bird Punch. I added a Cherry Cobbler bow and top loop to the wreath. I added some small bells to my bow.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock and the DSP is from the retired Deck the Halls pack, that DSP is matted with Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake card stock as well. I embossed a piece of Cherry Cobbler for the side strip and then added a small piece of DSP from the Modern Medley pack and a small piece of champagne glimmer paper to the strip. The small flag is also made with the champagne glimmer paper. I then finished off with three antique brads. No sentiment on the front of this one, but you defiantly know this is a Christmas card.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch:

Color Challenge.... Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoast

Old Olive, Real Red and Calypso Coral, with a dessert option of a flying image, bird, butterfly, Santa.....etc.

I did sneak in some blue for my bird, I did first do it in red, but didn't like it so I switched to some Island Indigo and liked it much better.

I used some Rustic Cream card stock and the DSP is from two different packs, the Tea for Two and the Beau Chateau packs.  I also used some soft Suede card stock. I colored my image with Calypso Coral and Old Olive and then used the Real Red to deepen the shading on the flowers and also on the berries.
The sentiment is from the retired Something to Celebrate stamp set.
I used some crumb cake ribbon and a vintage ivory button with some twine for my bow.
