Give Thanks Treats

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

We are one week away from Thanksgiving here in the US.
I made these treat holders to share with some friends and family!

The challenge this week at Stamp, Ink Paper  was my inspiration :

I used the Tiny Keepsake Bundle to make my favors.
The Mini Curvy Keepsake Die is perfect for tiny treats.
I die cut several using Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze card stock.
I used the Buffalo Plaid stamp in the Tiny Keepsake stamp set and stamped onto the sides of the
Keepsake Box. I used Cajun Craze ink on the Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze die cuts and Early Espresso ink on the Very Vanilla die cuts.

I used two of the leaf dies in the Gathered Leaves Dies and die cut leaves using
Gold Foil, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry card stock.

My sentiment comes from the Harvest Hellos stamp set and is stamped with either
Early Espresso or Cajun Craze.
I die cut these using another die in the Keepsake Box Dies.

I added the leaves and sentiment piece to my boxes using dimensionals.

I used some twine from the Come to Gather Ribbon pack and also some Linen Thread to
make bows. I added these to the sentiment piece with glue dots.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

I loved the sketch at  Fab Friday
so much I decided to use it again on this Thanksgiving card.

I made this with some of the leaves I had left over from yesterday's card.

These leaves using the Gathered Leaves Dies are so pretty and really fun to make.
Push the die into your ink pad before die cutting and you get a nice contrast on the leaves.

I stamped my Pumpkins with Black Stazon ink on thick whisper white card stock and  colored with
my Aqua Painter and ink pads. I used Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake ink pads.

I die cut a circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies and Thick Whisper White card stock.
I added the leaves and pumpkins to the circle with dimensionals.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I then used another layer of Crumb Cake that I embossed with
the Tin Tile EF.

The DSP is from the Come To Gather paper pack.
I matted it with some Cajun Craze card stock and I used an embossing die on one edge that is from the Stitched  Labels Dies.

The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin kit.
I finished up with a simple twine bow on one of the pumpkins!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is a fun Thanksgiving card made with the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set.

Don't you love that cute little bird in this set??!!!!!

I stamped the wreath image on thick whisper white with black stazon ink.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads.
I used Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and a bit of Cherry Cobbler inks.

I  samped the little bird on a scrap piece of thick whisper white and colored with my Aqua Painter too.
I fussy cut it out and laid it aside.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I then used another piece of Crumb Cake and embossed it
with he Hammered Metal EF.

The DSP is a piece of Gingham Mango Melody from the Brights 6 x 6 pack.

I matted the wreath image square piece with a piece of Mango Melody card stock
and then added it to the base with dimensionals.

I used a long piece of linen thread wrapped into a small circle and added to the card with a couple of glue dots to make my "nest" for the bird.

I added the bird to the nest using a couple of dimensionals to hold it in place.

My sentiment piece and the gold sequins are from the my Paper Pumpkin kit.

Paper Pumpkin Thanksgiving

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today's card share uses a few elements from this month's Paper Pumpkin.
I don't always get the Paper Pumpkin but this one look interesting, so
I got it.
I love the sentiments in the stamp set that came with it and this beautiful leaf paper as well.

I started with a base of Merry Merlot and then added the leaf piece. It is a precut
banner, I did have to extend it to make it longer for my card.
I used a die from the Stitched Labels next.
I die cut using a piece of thick whisper white card stock.
I added the die cut piece to my card with dimensionals.

I am also teasing you with another sneak peek item, the leaves
on here are from the Gathered Leaves Dies.
The are in the Holiday mini and will be available to
order on Sept. 4th.

I die cut using Merry Merlot, Pretty Peacock and Pear PIzzazz card stock.
The die cuts and embosses at the same time.
I used some twine from the Paper Pumpkin kit and added to my card in a messy
circle using glue dots.
I then added the leaves with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Paper Pumpkin and is embossed with white embossing powder
Merry Merlot card stock.
I used the Classic Label Punch to punch it out. I added this with dimensionals.

I finished with a bow and a few gold sequins from the kit.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.
If you would like to buy the products for yourself,

SIP.....Harvest of Blessings

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card made using the challenge this week at Stamps, Ink, Paper Challenge Blog.

I know the challenge says Trick or Treat, but that big ol pumpkin sent my thoughts in another direction.

I decided to make a pumpkin with my oval dies. I die cut three ovals using some Tangelo Twist card stock. I embossed using the basket weave embossing folder and then sponged the edges with some pumpkin pie ink.
I die cut the swirls and leaves using a MFT die with Crumb Cake cardstock, I sponged it with a bit of chocolate chip ink.
I layered up my pumpkin and and hand cut a little stem. I cut apart my swirls and tucked them under he middle layer of the pumpkin and then set it aside to make the rest of the card.

The base of the card is thick whisper white card stock and the DSP is from the retired Motley Monsters paper pack and from the Wood Textures pack.

The sentiment comes from MFT's Harvest Mouse.
I finished it up by adding a small twine bow to the pumpkin.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday......Give Thanks

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I have not made very many fall cards this year even tho it is my favorite time of the year, and since Thanksgiving is this Thursday here in America, I took this opportunity to make a one.
I pulled out my Stampin Up Fall Fest stamp set along with the Hardwood Background and the For All things set and got busy!

I love a square card and was excited to use this sketch!
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of Cajun Craze and the DSP comes from the Color Me Autumn paper pack.
The center layers are Cajun Craze and another piece of Crumb Cake that is stamped with Crumb Cake ink using the Hardwood BG stamp. I added the sentiment from the For All Things stamp set using Cajun Craze ink.

I used a piece of the 1-1/4" burlap ribbon across the bottom. I stamped three pumpkins from the Fall Fest stamp set using Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake ink. I cut them out with the matching dies and sponged the edges with Cajun Craze ink. I cut three small leaves that are from the Fun Fall Framelits and crumbled them up a bit. I added them to the pumpkins and then used some small buttons and twine to top them off.  I used a bit of crystal effects on the leaves to make them look a bit wet and then colored all over the pumpkins with my Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of a glow.

close up to show the shimmer:

I finished off with a few gold sequins.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Sweet Season Easel Card

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with a retired set I recently acquired. I have wanted this one for a long time and finally I found it. It is Stampin Up's retired "Sweet Season" and this is my favorite image in the set.
I stamped the image with black and colored with markers.
After getting the image colored I decided to make it into a fun easel card.

The DSP on here is from the Sweater Weather pack. Love the colors in this. The ribbon is also retired, some satin Pumpkin Pie ribbon.
The sentiment is perfect for this card it comes from another retired set called "Give Thanks".

Close up of the sweet image:

Hope you enjoy this sweet little Easel Card.

Freshly Made Sketch.....Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Even though I am in full on Christmas card making mode here right now I couldn't let the fall pass by without making one of my punched pumpkins.  When I saw this sketch I knew it needed a pumpkin. :)

I keep it very CAS.

The base is Chocolate Chip card stock and then a layer of Rustic Cream card stock. The DSP  on my card is all from the Stampin Up Sweater Weather pack.
I used my wide oval punch for the pumpkin. I added some Old Olive leaves and stem. The "Happy Thanksgiving" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I finished it off with a twine bow and two basic pearls.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

SUO....Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today's card was made using the challenge this week on the SU-Only Challenges Blog, which is Elegant Autumn.
You all know how much I love to make punched pumpkins at this time of the year and so I decided to try and make an "elegant" card using one. I started with a base of the Stampin Up Early Espresso Core'dinations     card stock. The next layer is very vanilla and then another layer of the early espresso core'dinations card stock that I embossed with the Lacy Brocade EF and then sanded with the SU sanding block. Love the look, so pretty and so vintage looking.
I then die cut with the lattice die and  more very vanilla card stock the lattice piece. It is attached to the base with some dimesionals, cut down to fir under the strips of the lattice.

The leaves are from the Stampin Up French Foliage stamp set. I stamped with early espresso ink onto some so saffron card stock and then cut them out with my paper snips. I then sponged the leaves with pumpkin pie, cajun craze and riding hood red ink.
The pumpkin is made using the wide oval punch and the edges of  them are sponged with cajun craze ink.
The little sunflower is made with one of the flowers from the Boho Blossom punch and the center is the small circle that comes in the Itty Bitty Punch pack.
I hand cut the stem and the leaves are from the bird punch. I then curled a small strip of card stock around my piercing tool for the curl.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I hand cut the "v" shape in the ends and curled it a bit before adding it to the pumpkin.

OCC.....Inspiration Photo

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.

This week our hostess is the fabulous Holly Kean and she has  photo inspiration challenge for us:

This beautifully unique Thanksgiving table is far and away more fancy than ours will likely be for Thanksgiving but isn't it just gorgeous? Find some inspiration in it and create a Thanksgiving, Holiday or New Year's card or other paper project based on that inspiration. Make sure you include in your posting where your inspiration came from and how you incorporated it into your project.

I hope you all will forgive me one more punched pumpkin. I really struggled as which way to go with this inspiration, I originally thought I would make my pumpkin vase of flowers with some gold card stock, I punched and embossed some of the SU Brushed Gold card stock but when I was putting the card together the gold just looked so dull with the card I had to change it up and make a pumpkin pie one instead. I used the bird punch for all my leaves and added some small pumpkin pie flowers.

I used the sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary for my card layout. The base is Early Espresso card stock and then I followed that up with some very vanilla and then another layer of Early Espresso that I embossed with the square lattice EF.
The DSP I used is from the Spice Cake paper pack. I cut three sizes and matted with some very vanilla card stock.

I added some crochet ribbon across the middle and tied a pretty bow. I then added alot of gold pearls for accents. I took inspiration from the photo in the colors, I like the blue in the photo but used a different shade and then the centerpiece in the photo is a pumpkin filled with pretty flowers, and lots of gold accents.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge.
I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do, don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SC357.....Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thursday Peeps, it a cool and windy day here in SW MO, I do love the cooler temps but don't love that the heater has kicked on several times today!

I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today, I made this card using the sketch challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. I love making punched pumpkins so I decided when I saw the sketch that one would be perfect here.
I made the punched pumpkin using the large oval punch and pumpkin pie card stock. I punched three ovals and then embossed them with the vintage wall EF and my big shot.
I then sponged the edges heavily using cajun craze ink. I added a hand cut stem and a small little swirl from the Scribbles Swirls die. I used some jute twine and a button to make a bow and added that as well. I then added a leaf pin that I had in my stash, I think I got these a year or two back from JoAnn's.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock and then a layer of very vanilla and the DSP I used is from the Spice Cake paper pack from Stampin' Up.  I then added a strip of early espresso that was embossed with the square lattice EF I attached a punched layer of old olive punched with the lace border punch.
The sentiment is from a retired SU set called "thankful for" so glad I got that one before it was gone.
I finished it off with three gold pearls.
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING

Grateful Pumpkin

Happy Halloween Peeps!!

Today I am sharing not a Halloween card but a Thanksgiving card.
You all know I love to make pumpkins with my punches and emboss and sponge them. I teamed this one up with some DSP from the Frostwood Lodge paper pack.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock and then I used some of the "bark like" paper from the DSP. I added a bit of green gingham for my pumpkin to "sit" on, it is from the same paper pack.

The sentiment on here is from the "Always Thankful" stamp set. I stamped it onto some white card stock and matted with Early Espresso. I added some twine and button to the pumpkin and tucked in a couple of leaf pins I had in my stash. I finished is with three gold pearls in the top corner

Well, that is all from me have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN and thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY STAMPING!

CC343....Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!
Today I am sharing a card made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The colors are More Mustard, Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango, with a neutral options of white or vanilla. I used Very Vanilla.

These colors are perfect for a fall card and the dessert option is to make a Thanksgiving card. I just palin got carried away making this card, It is so Chunky!! I started with a base of More Mustard card stock and followed that with some soft suede and then very vanilla and the DSP is from the Stmapin UP Spice Cake paper pack.

I stamped some leaves and sponged some. I cut a couple of circles with tangerine and very vanilla and a scallop circle of soft suede. I started layering my leaves onto the circle layers using dimesionals. I cut apart one maple leaf to tuck in and around the other leaves.

I used some of the Spice Cake fabric to thread through a large Spice Cake button. I used a bit of curled twine left over from the pumpkins I showed you yesterday.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and is stamped with soft suede onto very vanilla and matted with tangerine card stock. I added a library clip to the sentiment flag and a couple of brads to the top corners.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and  "HAPPY STAMPING"!!!

Give Thanks

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

You know sometimes we need to be reminded to "Give Thanks", not just at Thanksgiving but all throughout the year. One thing I am thankful for is this blog and all the support I receive from it. I have been struggling with my creativity the last few weeks, I have felt so overwhelmed  by little things, things that don't normally bother me are really weighing on me, I guess we all have times like that. I mentioned this yesterday on facebook and had so many of my friends and online friends post replies and contact me privately that it really made me feel thankful.

I am posting this card that I made yesterday, after finishing up my control freak swap cards and getting them all packaged up and to the post office, I really wanted to make something just for fun. I sit down at my desk with an idea, believe me this card looks nothing like what  I had in my head and it took me well over two hours to complete.
I do like the leaves and the swirls.
I LOVE the stamp sets used here from the Stampin UP Holiday Mini catalog, "Gently Falling and "Hand-Penned Holidays". The DSP is another favorite, Spice Cake from Stampin Up, it is perfect for fall and for the Gently Falling stamp set! Another cute stamp in the Gently Falling set are the Acorns, they are adorable huh?

Here is a close-up of the leaves which I stamped on very vanilla card stock with more mustard ink and rolled the edges with cajun craze ink. I cut them out glued to some soft suede card stock and cut out again. I know crazy, but I was trying HARD!!! LOL!!

I have to tell you I was a bit bummed, yesterday after I came home from the post office I found the cute little tag I posted yesterday in the floor tore to shreds by the cat!!! BLAH!!! Now I have to remake that!!!
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING

SC349....Grateful

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch challenge today on Splitcoaststampers. This is a great sketch and I loved working with it, it is definitely a keeper!

I have been having fun playing with this new set from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini called "Gently Falling", it is two step set. There are the inside of the leaves and then the outlines are a separate stamp. I decided to just use the outline stamp, I stamped with earlly espresso ink onto some very vanilla cardstock, I then sponged in some daffodil delight ink into the middle of the leaves and then some cajun craze ink around the outer edges of the leaves. I then cut them out to add to the card.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock, I then used some crumb cake and the DSP id from the Frostwood Lodge paper pack.

The middle is more crumb cake and very vanilla that was embossed with the square lattice EF.
I made the sentiment flag with crumb cake and the sentiment is from the "Always Thankful" stamp set and is stamped with Early Espresso ink. The button is from the retired Deck the Halls button pack. I tried a few things in the corner, first just some gold brads, didn't like that, then tried a couple of antique brads, still not so good, then I remembered the glitter brads and I thought the gold ones looked nice. Added a bit of bling to the earthy card! :)

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!
