Today I am sharing another Stitched Leaves Dies card.

 

I told you yeserday that I cut out enough leaves for a "few cards".

 

I love he Plaid Tidings DSP as well, and they just make the perfect backdrop for these

fall leaves, don't you think?

 

My leaves on this card are Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Pretty Peacock.

 

 

 

The base of my card is Cajun Craze and I matted the pretty piece of Plaid DSP 

with Pretty Peacock card stock. 

My sentiment is from the Love of Leaves stamp set. I stamped with Pretty Peacock ink on a die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

 

 

I finished my simple fall card with some Braided Linen trim and an Acorn Trinket.

Golden Leaves

 

 

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

 

Today I am sharing a card I made last week.

I was inspired by my friend Wendy to pull out this bundle again.

She had messaged me a pic of a card set she was working on using this bundle, it was so pretty

I just had to pull out mine and make up a few more cards using these dies.

They are so cool, I absolutely love the Stitched Leaves Dies.

I stared by die cutting a bunch of leaves with a variety of fall type colors of card stock.

I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

I cut enough to make several cards and still have a few left that I tucked into my stamp set case for use later.

 

 

Also included with the Stitched Leaves Dies is this really cool die that cuts the Stitched Lines you see here. I used a piece of Very Vanilla card stock for this die cut piece.

I matted it with a piece of Crushed Curry card stock.

 

The sentiment is from the Autumn Goodness stamp set and I used Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp it.

 

I then added this to my Cherry Cobbler base with dimensionals.

I arranged the leaves on the Vanilla piece using dimensionals 

 

 

I finished with a bow made using ribbon from the Forever Greenery pack and a few Basic Rhinestones.

Blue Christmas

 

 

Happy Monday Peeps!! 

Hope you all had a great weekend.

I slacked off a few days here on the blog 

but I am back and have cards lined up for most of the week already, so let's get to it!

 

This fun non traditional Christmas card was inspired by the color challenge this week at

Fab Friday.

One might not think Christmas right away when seeing these colors but

I had been wanting to make a blue poinsettia so when seeing these colors I decided it was time.

 

I started by die cutting my poinsettias petals with thick whisper white card stock.

I die cut 2 of each size petal, for a total of 6, (2 each of 3 sizes).

 

I used a sponge dauber and my Seaside Spray ink pad to lightly sponge color onto the white petals.

Each of the 3 sixes of petals was glued together separately, alternating the petals.

I then used dimensionals to layer the petals together.

 

 

 

While I was die cutting my poinsettia I also die cut my leaves using Gray Granite, the berry sprigs using Misty Moonlight and Gray Granite and my flower center using Bumble Bee card stock.

I knew I would want them to tuck around the poinsettia, so it was just easier to do all the die cutting at one time, most of the time I don't plan ahead and end up going back and forth die cutting as I decide what I want to use on my card.  But on this card I already knew I would want those pieces.

 

The base of my card is Gray Granite card stock 

I then took a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it with the Winter Snow EF.

I matted this embossed piece with Misty Moonlight card stock.

I glued this piece to my base.

I used a piece of Misty Moonlight for my sentiment strip. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. I stamped with Versmark ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I glued down the sentiment piece across the bottom portion of the card and added a strip of Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon above the sentiment panel.

 

 

 

I added a dimensional to the back of the Poinsettia I had made and laid it on the card to judge where I wanted it and to see where to add my ribbon loop.

I laid down the ribbon loop first and then added the poinsettia.

I then tucked all the leaves and berry sprigs in and around the poinsettia and ribbon.

Finally I added my Bumble Bee center.

I was going to add some bling but in the end I didn't.....lol! I may still do that. :)

Can't Thank You Enough

 

 

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

 

Today's card share is made using the Prized Peony stamp set.

 

I stamped the small flower around the edge of 2 sides of my card.

I used Black Stazon ink on Thick Very Vanilla card stock 

and masked each with a post it note as I went.

 

I water colored the flowers with Rococo Rose  and deepened the shading with a bit of Merry Merlot.

The centers of the Flowers are colored with Early Espresso.

 

 

After coloring the flowers I embossed the panel using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

I matted this panel with Rococo Rose card stock.

Then mounted to my base of Early Espresso using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set with Early Espresso ink on to Very Vanilla card stock.

I die cut it with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I added this to my card with dimensionals.

 

 

I finished with a few retired enamel dots and a small bow made with the Braided Trim.

Be Jolly Bells

Today's card share is another Christmas card made using the Cherish the Season Bundle.

 

I die cut the Bells  using Real Red card stock and then again a few more times with Garden Green card stock, just cutting the Holly leaves.

 

I replaced the holly leaves in the red bells with the green holly leaves.

 

I added my sentiment from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set to a piece of

thick whisper white card stock with real red ink.

 

I then embossed this white piece with the Winter Snow EF.

 

The bells are added to this piece with dimensionals.

 

 

 

I "sprinkled" a few more holly leaves around the bells and added red rhinestones for the

berries.

 

I used some retired white twine bows to the bells.

 

The base of my card is Real Red and the DSP is from the Heartwarming Hugs pack.

Plant Kindness Duo

 

 

 

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

 

Today card share is made using the Autumn Goodness  stamp set.

I got this set early on, but hadn't used it much. I love this sentiment in the set.

I decided to make a set of cards with this image.

Each one is colored the same, but with different mediums.

 One is colored with Blends and one with my favorite medium, water coloring.

 

The one in Bumble Bee is the waercolored image. The one in Cajun Craze is the one colored with Blends. 

 

 

The images in this set are wonderful but they are small, which is a challenge, for me, to watercolor. 

 

The pumpkins are done with Pumpkin Pie and a bit of Cajun Craze.

The basket is Crumb Cake and a bit of Early Espresso.

The apples are Real Red and just a touch of Cherry Cobbler.

The Yellow Squash are Crushed Curry and Bumble Bee.

Leaves are Garden Green.

 

 

 

The base of the cards are Bumble Bee and Cajun Craze.

The DSP is from the Plaid Tidings pack, I love this pack and tend to want to hoard it..lol!

 

I used the Tasteful Textiles EF on both.

The images are die cut with the largest circle die in the Layering Circles Dies

and he matted with the Largest Scallop Circle in the same dies.

I used Cajun Craze and Bumble Bee card stock for those.

 

 

I used ribbon on both, one used the pretty Bumble Bee Gingham ribbon and the Enamel Dots are from the new InColor Enamel Dot pack.

 

 

The ribbon on this one is from the Basketweave & Metallic Combo pack and I used the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

Season's Greetings card set

 

 

 

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

 

Today I am sharing a set of cards made with the Poinsettia Petal Bundle, my fave bundle of the 

mini catalog.

These three are a CASE of a card I made earlier, you can see it HERE.

 

I used the same layout for this trio but change it up with the Poinsettia.

 

I used three different mediums for the poinsettias, one if the new Red and Green Foil paper, one in the new Red Velvet paper and one using the new Festive Felt Combo pack.

Each is so pretty in it's own right, I can't pick a favorite.  

 

 

This one is the felt version.

 

 

 

This one is done with the beautiful Red Velvet paper.

 

 And finally this one is done with the Red and Green Foil paper.

 

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and the pine sprigs are from the Beautiful Boughs dies.

I stamped the sentiment with Real Red ink. It is die cut with a Stitched Oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Each of the Wood look Circles are from the In Good Taste DSP pack and is die cut with

a Stitched Shaped Circle. 

The red DSP on all three are from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP pack.

Creative Challenge Fall Box

 

 

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

 

It is time for another Creative Challenge with my friend Wendy from WeeBeeStampin4Fun!

 

I knew when I got my Stitched  Leaves Dies and the Festive Felt that I wanted to do 

some "stitching" on the leaves. I used some embroidery floss to add my stitch lines.

 

I love how they turned out, even tho it was a bit challenging. It was hard to see the lines on the dark felt.

I ended up adding card stock to the back of the felt, which made seeing the stitch lines much easier.

 

I did use a non SU item, the roses are made with a Sizzix die.

I say if you have it use it!

I made my roses using Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie card stock.

 

 

 

I  used a die cut from the Hippo and Friends dies for my base piece to mount the leaves and roses on using Very Vanilla card stock. I embossed this die cut with one of the Mini EF in the Greenery Embossing Folder.

 

I die cut a few "berry sprigs" using Gold Foil paper and a die from the Poinsettia Dies to add around the leaves.

 The ribbon is from the Forever Greenery Combo pack and the "hello" come from the Life is Beautiful stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and die cut with a tag die in the Mini Curvy Keepsake box die.

 

 

I used Early Espresso card stock for the bottom of the box. It is an 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 square.

I scored at 2-1/4 on all four sides.

The top is a piece of DSP from the Gilded Autumn Specialty pack. The DSP is a 6-1/4 x 6-1/4 inch square, scored at 1-1/8 inch on all four sides.

The box comes together to be a 4 inch square that is 2-1/4 inch tall.

We made it through the week and the weekend is on the horizon!

Today's card share is a card I made quite some time ago and hadn't shared yet!

I love the Playful Alphabet Dies and they are featured on my card today.

I used the foam adhesive sheets to make my letters thick and easy to adhere to my card.

These foam adhesive sheets are really nice and you can even use up the scraps after cutting your letters as dimensionals. so win, win!!

I die cut my letters using Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Cajun Craze card stock.

The letters are mounted to a die cut from the Halloween Magic Dies using Early Espresso card stock.

 

 

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock. I then used a piece of DSP from

the Gilded Autumn Specialty pack that I matted with Early Espresso card stock.

The sentiment die cut piece is added with dimensionals.

I used the Autumn Punch Pack to punch out a few leaves in the same colors as the words. I added them to the two top corners of the sentiment panel.

I then added in my twine and bow with the Acorn Trinket.

 

 

I finished up with my Wink of Stella pen on the leaves and some Crystal Effects covering the letters.

Felt Poinsettia

 

 

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

 

Today's card share is another Poinsettia Petals card.

I used the felt from the Festive Felt Combo  pack.

This poinsettia has to be my favorite so far.

It is is so pretty and the picture doesn't really catch it well.

I did cut two of each layer with felt and also backed each layer with card stock so that the

felt would hold it's shape and allow me to curl it a bit.

The leaves are also die cut with some felt from the pack and these are also backed with card stock.

This card would not be mailable in an envelope at all. It would be perfect to just hand deliver or attach to a gift bag or present.

 

 

The base of he card is Real Red card stock and hen a layer of thick Whisper White that I embossed with the Winter Snow EF.

I used a die from the Ornate Layers Die with Whisper White and added my sentiment.

The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set.

I added the poinsettia to this piece and then added it to my base with dimensionals.

I die cut a few gold sprigs with a die from the Poinsettia Dies using the Gold Foil Sheets.

 

 

The center of the Poinsettia is three Resin Dots from the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots pack.

 

I finished up with a few Red Rhinestones.

I love this bundle and just can't seem to put it away.

 

I die cut the poinsettias with Real Red card stock. the leaves and card base are

Garden Green card stock.

 

The pretty DSP is  the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper.

It is so pretty.

 

 

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set. 

I stamped it with Real Red ink and die cut with an oval die from the Stitched Shapes dies.

I used a Beaded Pearl for the center of the largest poinsettia and and Basic Pearls for the two smaller poinsettias.
