Sweet Sunday......Thank You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

My card is 3-1/2" by 7". I made it slightly bigger to accommodate my focal image.
I started with a base of Pistachio Pudding card stock, then a layer of Basic Black. All of the DSP on here is from the Sweet Sorbet paper pack.
I matted all of the DSP with Basic Black.
The flower is from the Simple Stems stamp set and is stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding inks onto Whisper White card stock

I cut the mat for the main image with one of the dies from the Floral Frames Framelit Dies and Pistachi Pudding card stock. I stamped the sentiment, which comes from the Happy Watercolor stamp set,  with black stazon across the flower stems. I added three square brads that I tilted across the bottom edge.

Color Challenge....Blessed Easter

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

This week is a Sweet Medley:

You could you pick 3 or more of the colors. I used Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Pool  and Summer Starfruit. Which I just now noticed is not pictured in the color graphic.

I decide to go Clean Simple with my card, I used the Blessed Easter single stamp from Stampin Up. I love those tulips. I stamped with black stazon and used my aqua painter to color. I used Summer Starfruit for the tulips, Pistachio Pudding for the leaves and added Pool Party around the flower.

The base is PTI white card stock and the DSP strip down the side is from the Sweet Sorbet paper pack. I added a strip of Basic Black down the edge of the main panel and rounded two corners with the Envelope Punch Board. I then mounted the main panel to the base with dimesionals I then added three small pearls under the sentiment and it is done.
Thanks for coming by and taking a look!

Easter Blessings

Happy Monday Peeps!

Yesterday I had some time to stamp and actually did!!! I was inspired by the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog. The colors this week are Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Pale Plum. I used those colors but added in some Old Olive for my leaves, so I am not linking this card over there, but I am loving the color combo!!

I knew that the Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum (which is a retired color) would make some pretty Spring tulips. So I pulled out my Stampin Up Blessed Easter stamp and masked off the attached sentiment and decide to use this beautiful Easter Blessings single stamp from last year I believe. It is another single stamp from Stampin Up.
I stamped the tulips with black stazon ink onto some PTI white card stock and then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.

I stamped the sentiment using Razzleberry ink and I colored the swirls with my Old Olive marker.
I added a few matching rhinesones and matted with Razzleberry and Plum card stock.

The base is Pale Plum followed by white and then a piece of Razzleberry that I embossed with a dot EF.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all you kind comments and e-mails.

Sweet Sunday...Sweet Baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was down to the wire with this card, so I went fairly clean and simple. I also was in the need for a baby card so I pulled out my Stampin Up "Baby We've Grown" stamp set. I have never used it and I have to tell you this little bunny is ADORABLE!!!!! It is a fairly small image so perfect for the little image on the sketch.

The base of the card is Strawberry Slush card stock and I followed that with some basic black. The DSP on here is from the "I Am Me" paper pack.
I used the Alphabet embossing folder with more strawberry slush card stock and matted that with more basic black. I sponged the top of the alphabet panel with a bit of white craft ink.

The bunny image and sentiment are both from the Baby stamp set and is stamped with black stazon ink and then watercolored with my aqua painter and my ink pads. I used Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush inks.
I used my wide oval punch to punch out the bunny and then I used the one of the Designer Frames Embossing Folders for the black matt around it.
I added a little basic pearl to the bunnies bow and three more pearls to the right corner.

Sweet Sunday.......Thank You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I did feel a bit challenged with this sketch and you can see that the small circle element in the sketch is almost all covered with my flower and leaves but you can still see the edge of  it, and it is there I promise!

I started my card with a 5 x 5 square base of Pool Party card stock.  I then followed that with a layer of Early Espresso card stock and then all of the DSP on here is from the Stampin Up "Sweet Sorbet" paper pack.

I used the Peaceful Petals stamp set and stamped two of the flowers onto some PTI white card stock and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads I used, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry for the flowers. I also stamped some leaves and colored them with Pistachio Pudding ink. I die cut a doily using pool party and then added a white die cut circle over that.
I cut another piece of white to go across the bottom for my sentiment and then matted that with some Early Espresso card stock. The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set. I mounted this strip across the bottom with some foam tape. I then cut out the leaves and flowers and added them to the circle element tucking them behind  and over the sentiment strip.
I finished off with a few candy dots on the sentiment piece and the center square.

This little card will be going to a co-worker who surprised me with a little gift this week. Made my day and it is nice to be appreciated.

Sweet Sunday.....Miss You Already

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

What I really miss is Spring!!!
So I decide to make a Springy type card! I pulled out this single stamp from Stampin' Up called "Blessed Easter" and used these tulips on my card. Tulips are a sure sign of Spring.
I used a combo of DSP  to acheive a Spring feel. The papers are from the Watercolor Wonder and Sweet Sorbet packs.

I colored the tulips using my aqua painter and ink pads, I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party inks.

Sweet Sunday....Howdy Friend

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Sorry for the long silence here, just been busy and decided to take a little break. I am back in action this week and hopefully not just today but we will see.

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us today:

I decided to pull out one of the many Pure Innocence stamps I have and actually use one on my card, I do love this line of stamps and have made several cards with them and generally just don't post on here but I thought "Why Not?" I loved making this card and am kinda happy with how it turned out.
I stamped the sweet little cowgirl onto some Rustic Cream card stock and then stamped her a few more time on my DSP. I then paper pieced her outfit. All the DSP on here comes from one of my favorite packs, Retro Fresh, which is available in the Spring Mini.

I colored her skin with my copics and then added some more color to her outfit with the markers as well.

The base of the card is Soft Suede card stock and then a layer of tangerine tango and then the DSP is all from the same above mentioned pack.

I first added my sentiment on a side piece like the sketch shows but then decided I wanted to use this fun wood element. It is in the same place on the sketch so I think it is OK. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the wood piece with some black stazon. I added a few little gold sequins to finish it off.

Isn't she cute?
