Hello Baby

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is one I made using a couple of challenges.

I used the challenge this week at The Paper Players:

Which is a Clean And Simple Woodland Critters Challenge

I only had a couple of choices when looking through my stamp sets for a "woodland"
type critter, I found the cute Fable Friend stamp set.
I love this set and used it so much last spring.

I also used the sketch this week at Fusion Card Challenge

I just used the sketch, it was perfect for a Clean And Simple style card.

I stamped my bunny first, with Black Stazon ink on thick Whisper White card stock.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads, using basic gray and Blushing Bride.
I fussy cut her out and put aside to do the rest of the card.

I made my Scallop Stitched Square using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
I used the largest Scallop Stitched Rectangle and ran it back through my Big shot to
create the Square by cutting off the bottom part.

he bunny is then added to the square with dimensionals.

The base of my card is Smoky Slate.
I then used another smaller piece of Smoky Slate and embossed with the Subtle EF.
I matted that with some Whisper White and added it to the base.

The image panel was added next.

The sentiment is from the So Sentimental stamp set.
I stamped with Basic Gray ink and used another of the
Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out.
I cut another matching piece with Blushing Bride card stock and snipped it in two pieces and
added it to my sentiment piece.

I finished up the Clean and Simple design with a few little basic rhinestones.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Welcome Baby

Hello Peeps!

Over at Just Add Ink they are saying:

I used the Fable Friends stamp set.
I love this sweet bunny.

I stamped with Black Stazon and colored with Flirty Flamingo and use my light gray marker
to add a bit of shading.

I fussy cut her out and added it to my die cut oval with dimensionals.

A few die cuts on here are from the Wonderful Floral Famelits,
the scallop edge comes from the Be Mine framelits.
And of course the Well Written and Well Said dies and stamp set.

I used thick Whisper White for my base and added some pretty Lovely Lipstick ribbon and a few little rhinestones to finish it up.

Thanks for coming by!

Darling Baby

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

they have a great sketch challenge this week.

I love a sketch challenge.

I decided to use my Fable Friends stamp set.
I wasn't sure where I was going with this card but knew I waned to use
the  adorable bunny. He/She is my favorite in the set.

I stamped the image with black stazon and colored
with my aqua painter and ink pads.

I used Balmy Blue and a bit of Flirty Flamingo inks.
I fussy cut him out and sit it aside to make the rest of the card.

The base of my card is Thick Whisper White and then a layer of Balmy Blue.
I then embossed another piece of white with my Subtle EF.

I used a piece of Gingham DSP from he Gingham Gala paper pad.
I matted it wih Balmy Blue card stock.

I die cut a few elements from the Wonderful Floral framelits.
I die cut some leaves with Balmy Blue and white.
The oval piece is also in the same framelit set.
I added the bunny to the oval with dimensionals and then tucked the other pieces
behind and around the bunny.

I decide to go with the Darling Baby sentiment.

I finished up with a few rhinestones.
Thanks for coming by!

Welcome, Little One

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Over at Stamps, Ink Paper the challenge this week is Something for Baby

This was perfect timing for me, I needed to get stared on a planned surprise for a lady I work with who is welcoming her first grand baby in a couple of months. What a better way to start but a card, to set the whole theme and color choices for the surprise.

I only have a couple of baby themed stamp sets and this bunny is my favorite.
It comes from the retired A New Little Someone.
I love to color it and make a "vintage" looking stuffed rabbit.

I used my water brush and ink pads. I used chocolate chip, flirty flamingo and lovely lipstick.

I stamped the bow again and cut out to add with a mini dimensional.
I matted the image with Crumb Cake card stock.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake as well.
I then used a layer of white and the DSP is from the All My Love pack, perfect for a baby girl.

The sentiment is from the Nursery Necessities stamp set.

I finished up with a wine bow and a few rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Baby Cards

Happy Friday Peeps!!

I spent the afternoon yesterday making a bunch of thank you cards.

We will soon be welcoming our first grand baby into the world and my daughter was in need of some thank you cards.

I wanted to keep them fairly simple and this is what I came up with.

I wasn't really sure when I sat down at my desk what I was going to do, I had forgot about this retired baby set called A New Little Someone, but when I pulled it out I decided it would be perfect.

I stamped the bunny with some Brown Memento ink and colored in the the bow, feet pads and ears using my copic markers

The base of the card is Strawberry Slush card stock.
The sentiment is from the new Rose Garden stamp set.
I embossed the bottom portion of the card using the perfect dots EF.

I then added a strip of gold foil paper across the bottom of the image panel. I used some sticky tape to attach it.
These are flat with no embellishments for easy mailing but I think they are effective.

Hope you like them, thanks for stopping by today!

Just Add Ink......Baby Bee

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made using the sketch this week at Just Add Ink.

I am using another new stamp, new to me anyway, it is a single stamp called Baby Bumble Bee.
It is adorable! I will be needing a baby card soon, my niece is expecting and we just found out earlier this month that it is a boy.
I have been busy sewing up her some receiving blankets, I have 6 done so far and I think this card will go with them to her sometime soon.

The base of the card I Lost Lagoon card stock and then a layer of white.
The gingham DSP is from a retired pack, can't remember the name at the moment.
For the next layer I used white and another piece of Lost Lagoon card stock that I embossed with the honeycomb EF.

The main image is stamped onto white card stock with black stazon. I used my aqua painter and Lost Lagoon ink pad to color up the little bees stripes. I used some blush blossom and just a tad bit or red for the baby's face. I added a bit of smoky slate to the wings.
The center flag piece is made with some vellum,
The sentiment is from another retired stamp set called Short & Sweet. The little stars comes from the In Colors Sequin Assortment. I glued them on with some Multi Medium and then add a tiny pearl to the centers.

Sweet Sunday.....Welcome Baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

Here is the fabu sketch for this week:

Love this one!!
I will admit at first I was not lovin' it but after working with it I will say if is one of my faves!

I started with a base of white and then my angled piece is some pink pirouette card stock.
I used some retired SU DSP, I love polka dots!

For my circle element I  used the MFT Gerber Daisy die. It is awesome and how about those leaves, they are another MFT die........LOVE!!

I used more pink pirouette for the strip across with the sentiment and for the flag piece at the bottom.
I added a few enamel dots and called it good. Love the soft feminine feel of this baby card.
Not head on over to the Sweet SundaySketch Challenge Blog to get even more inspired with this sketch!

Sweet Sunday.........Welcome Baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was a little stumped with this sketch, I know.......but the more I thought about it I finally came up with this simple little baby card.
I have had this cute little MS elephant punch a couple of years, I got it to make some baby shower invites for a customer and had not used it since.
I thought those little elephants would be cute marching up the angle on the sketch.
I decided to go gender neutral and pulled out some purples. I used the retired Concord Crush, an absolute favorite color of mine, and Wisteria Wonder.

The DSP on here is from a retired in color pack, from when Concord was an in color.

I did not use the small circle element from the sketch on my card but the rest is there.

I added some Wisteria bakers twine around the bottom and then tied abow.
The sentiment is from the retired Short and Sweet stamp set.

So let's see what the rest of the girls did with this sweet sketch:

Birthday Boy

Happy Monday Peeps!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges the challenge is to make Birthday card and they added a twist, make it masculine.
Masculine cards are certainly not my forte but I wanted to give it a try. I thought about what to make and my little boat die came to mind. I could make a "little boy" birthday card.
This die is such fun it is made by "My Favorite Things"
All the DSP I used is from some retired packs, Sweet Slumber and Sweet Pea, I think.

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.
So cute huh?
I added a little red button with some twine to finish it up,
Whatcha think, I think it turned out pretty cute!

I am also linking this over at Seize the Birthday

Baby Plaque for Isaiah

Yesterday I attended a Baby Shower for a co-worker and this plaque was part of my gift.

I CASED this from Stampin Up catalog.
I did used a different frame and papers but the rest is the same as the one pictured in the catalog.

The name is made using the Skinny Alphabet stamp set. I used Pool Party ink for that and drew a light line so I could line it up. This stamp set is a clear polymer set so that makes it very easy.
The animals come from the Zoo Review stamp set. The elephant is stamped with Slate Gray, the Lion is Daffodil Delight and the Alligator is Old olive ink.

I used my banner and 3/4" inch circle punch to make the cute little banner. I used a variety of matching DSP and then sewed it all together with my sewing machine. I then attached it to the frame with some glue dots.

This is a very quick and easy project and the Mom to Be and the shower guest all seem impressed.

I also crochet her a small blanket:

Sweet Sunday...Sweet Baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was down to the wire with this card, so I went fairly clean and simple. I also was in the need for a baby card so I pulled out my Stampin Up "Baby We've Grown" stamp set. I have never used it and I have to tell you this little bunny is ADORABLE!!!!! It is a fairly small image so perfect for the little image on the sketch.

The base of the card is Strawberry Slush card stock and I followed that with some basic black. The DSP on here is from the "I Am Me" paper pack.
I used the Alphabet embossing folder with more strawberry slush card stock and matted that with more basic black. I sponged the top of the alphabet panel with a bit of white craft ink.

The bunny image and sentiment are both from the Baby stamp set and is stamped with black stazon ink and then watercolored with my aqua painter and my ink pads. I used Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush inks.
I used my wide oval punch to punch out the bunny and then I used the one of the Designer Frames Embossing Folders for the black matt around it.
I added a little basic pearl to the bunnies bow and three more pearls to the right corner.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Baby Girl Congratulations

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I have a cute baby card to share. If you remember a while back I said that my BFF's daughter was expecting her first baby and was about to find out the sex.
I had created a couple of baby cards in anticipation of the announcement.
Well,  they found out that "It's a Girl"!!
Yay!! That is what they were hoping for, so happy for them and for my friend, her first grandchild.
And I must say, happy for me, cos I get to be a "Great Aunt"!!

Anyway,  on to the card, I pulled out a fave retired set. This is called "A New Little Someone".
Such a sweet little bunny. I also used some retired DSP and some soon to retired card stock. Regal Rose will soon be gone, This is one of the colors I hate to see go.

The sentiment is from the single stamp called "Two by Two. I masked off the image and just used the sentiment. I also have a few other goodies in the works for the baby's arrival so I hope to show you those later.
That is all from me today, if you stopped by looking for my Merry Monday card, Lesley is sick with the flu and has postponed this week. We will be back next Monday tho, so don't forget to come by then!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.....Congratulations

Happy Sunday peeps!!

Here is our Sweet Sketch for this week:

I was inspired by my sweet friend Wendy Jansen at It's All About Stamping to pull out this sweet little single stamp from Stampin Up called "Two by Two" she had posted a card she made with earlier this week and it made me want to give one a try. I have had this stamp for a long time and have not made anything with it, I have tried to color it a time or two but never liked my results, but I was determined this time.

My first thoughts was to make a sweet little baby girl card, my best friends daughter is expecting and they find out next week what she is having and I wanted to have both a girl and boy card in my stash so I could send the appropriate one when they find the out the sex. I have a baby boy card already but when I was coloring and then matching paper I realized this card was just going to have to be for a boy.

I stamped and colored the image twice so I could cut out the animals and add them over the top of the the bottom image with some dimensionals. I used my copics to color the image.

Here is a close up of the little animals:

Aren't they sweet?
The DSP on here comes from the Sycamore Street paper pack which was a freebie during SAB. Love the colors in these papers.

The base of the card is Island Indigo and then a layer of Pool Party and then the DSP.
I changed the sketch just a bit by making my center strip with the "flag" end instead of going all the way across the bottom. That strip is tangerine tango card stock that I embossed with "Chevron" EF.

The sentiment is part of the single stamp I just stamped onto a scrap of white and cut out and added across the bottom of the circle.
I finished this off with two small silver brads.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

Sweet Sunday....hello, baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week:

I changed the card just a bit and made mine a square. It is actually a 4-1/4 inch square card.
I used the fun SAB set called Patterned Occasions. I love this sweet little elephant in the set and think it is  perfect for a baby card altho the image has a thank you sentiment attached to it. I just masked of the sentiment so I could make a baby card. I used Midnight Muse for the elephant. I stamped it twice and cut out the ear and added it to the main image with a dimensional.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Essential stamp set. I did try and stamp it directly onto the patterned paper, but it didn't show up as well as I wanted, so I just made a flag and added it over it.
I used some Midnight Muse ribbon and a couple of silver pearls to finish it off. It is now ready to head out to a special girl how is expecting in a few weeks!!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

OCC....Inspiration Challenge

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.
This week our hostess with the mostest is Lori Rider and she has a fun inspiration challenge for us.

Her is the challenge in her own words:
Please choose at least two elements from the photo and describe how they inspired your card or project.
Optional: since this is a baby shower dessert table, make something with a baby theme!

Isn't that photo scrumptious?
I was inspired to use the colors in the piece, I choose, very vanilla, calypso coral, pool party and soft suede and I used some of the Everyday Enchantment  DSP. I was in need of a baby card so this was a great inspiration to get it done.
The bunny on here is from a retired Stampin Up set called  "A New Little Someone", I stamped the bunny onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I colored the bunny in with soft suede, pool party and calypso coral. The intended receiver of this card is adopting a baby boy so I wanted to make sure this card said "Boy" more than girl, so I colored the bunnies bow and feet pads with the pool party and added just a bit of coral on the inside of the ears and on his cheeks.
I also took inspiration from the photo to put my bunny inside a circle to mimic all the circular elements in the photo, the cakes, the bowls and glasses. I brought in a bit of bling with silver brads on the top corners of the card and mini silver brads on the sentiment piece.

The sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set and I used my word window punch and modern label to make the sentiment tag.
I added some very vanilla satin ribbon across the bottom as well.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog
to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun challenge.
I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do, don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
