Get Well Soon

Hello Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the challenge this week at

This week it is a sketch:

I have found as we get older there seems to be more times I need a
"Get Well" type card,
so I knew I would be using this sentiment which comes
from the Healing Hugs stamp set.

I stamped the flower image from the All That You Are stamp set
along with one of the single flowers in the same set onto thick whisper white card stock
with black stazon ink.

I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads using Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.
I then fussy cut them out to add to my card. I did cut away part of the image and cut apart some if it to make it fit they way I wanted.

The DSP on here is from Butterfly Botanical pack.

I finally was able to get a roll of the white flax ribbon,
that seemed to be always on back order when I was placing a order.
I cut a piece and pulled it apart to use on my card.
I wrapped it around and tied a bow before adding my main image piece.

I finished up with a few little rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by.

C4C Happy Birthday

 Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I have a fun card to share using the challenge this week at

They are asking for us to use a flower or flowers on our card.

I have been wanting to use the Happy Birthday Thinlit for awhile now.
Truth be told, I have had it for months and have never even opened it til now.
I die cut it four times with whisper white card stock and layered and glued them all together.

I then stamped and colored a few flowers from the Tea Together set.
I used Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo inks along with Granny Apple Green.
I then die cut out the flowers using the matching dies.
I set these aside to build my card.

The base of my card is Highland Heather and then a layer of white.
The DSP is from the Needlepoint Nook pack.
I cut another piece of Highland Heather to use atop of the DSP. I hand cut the bottom in a banner shape and then embossed with the Basket Weave EF.

I glued my Happy Birthday die to the banner piece and then added the flowers to the card with dimensionals.
I used my Wink of Stella pen all over my flowers. I love the shimmer that adds.
I added some small rhinestones to the pink flower centers.
I finished with a few granny apple green sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequins pack.

Season's Greetings

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch challenge this week at Crazy 4 Challenges.

My many layers version of the sketch!

I hadn't really intended to make this a Christmas card until I stared putting it all together and well, it just happened.

I stared out stamping the flower image from Petal Palette on some thick whisper white card stock.
I decided to color my roses red.
I used Real Red and my water brush for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz was used to color the leaves and to stamp the rest of the foliage.

Of course I reverted to using some DSP from he Wood Textures pack along with a bit of Real Red card stock.
The sentiment is from the Wishing You Well stamp set. I stamped with Real Red ink as well.
I added a twine bow and a few rhinestones to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Crazy 4 Challenges....A Christmas Wish

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

It is the last Saturday of the month and our hostess for this month
final challenge for us is to get a jump start on our Christmas cards.

I had finally gotten my Sleigh Ride Edgelits that had been on Back order and was excited
to try them out.

I had fun making my background snowy sky.

I used some Water color paper and stamped the snow stamp over and over using Versamark
I then embossed using white embossing powder.

I then used three colors of blue to make the night sky.

I used Marina Mist, Lost Lagoon and Night of Navy,

I watered the paper down using a paint brush and then added my color starting with the lightest and graduated up to the dark ant the top.

I really love the look I achieved.

I die cut the row of houses using the thick whisper white and added over the back ground piece using dimensionals.

The Sentiment is from the Joyful Christmas stamp set and is stamped with Night of Navy ink.

I added several little silver sequin stars that I had in my stash to finish it up and add a bit of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy 4 Challenges......Thankful

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for a new challenge at Cray 4 Challenges,
this  week our hostess has a beautiful fall color challenge for us!

Of course you don't have to do fall, but that is the direction I went.

I pulled out my Stampin Up Sheltering Tree stamp set to make my card.
I stamped my tree with Soft Suede ink and added the ground in with some Old Olive ink..
The leaves are done with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks.
I added a sprinkling of Cajun Craze leaves as well.

The sentiment comes from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set. I masked off the other parts of the stamp to just get this one word sentiment.
After finishing up with a small banner of pumpkin with some linen thread and a little blossom I still felt it needed some sparkle. So I added some drops of Copper Stickles in among the leaves, it added the perfect touch of glimmer even tho the camera does not show it that much!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the rest of the design team did with this challenge.

Crazy 4 Challenges......Making Spirits Bright

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges. This week is sketch week, my favorite!

And here it is:

I was thinking Christmas this week with my card and pulled out some fun new items, new to me anyway!
I love the Stampin Up Among the Branches stamp set and matching Embossing Folder, so that was my starting point.

The base of the card is Smoky Slate card stock followed with some of the thick Whisper White and then all the DSP you see here is from the Merry Moments pack.
I used some silver Glimmer paper for some added glam to my Christmas card.
I stamped the sentiment with Real Red ink and then die cut it with the circle framelits leaving an nice white border.
The trees are punched out using the Tree punch and the Designer Paper, love the fun patterns in this pack.
I added a few rhinestones and  used linen thread to make bows for the trees.
Be sure to hop over the the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the rest of the team did with this fun sketch!

Crazy 4 Challenges...Trick or Treat

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

This week our challenge is:

Costume Fun-Images of kids, animals anyone in costume!

I pulled out my Stampin Up Haunt Ya Later set to use on my card.
Love this little witch image and she is so fun to color.
I stamped her with my Black Memento ink onto some Naturals Vanilla card stock and colored with my Copic Markers.
I did the same with the Pumpkin image and stamped her hand again so I could have an extra frog for my little Halloween scene. The face on my pumpkin is from the retired Fall Fest stamp set.
I fussy cut all these out and added them to my circle.

The Spider and the Sentiment are from the Stampin Up Howl-O-Ween stamp set.
The base of the card is Basic Black and then I a layer of the Naturals card stock.
The DSP on here is from the Happy Hauntings paper pack.
I drew in the string the spider is hanging on with my Black marker.
I added two tiny pearls to the spider for eyes.
I then used a few rhinestones and little pearls for a bit of bling!

Crazy 4 Challenges.....Halloween Treat Holders

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for a new Crazy 4 Cahllenges challenge!
This week marks a new month which means we have a new hostess.
The fabulous Jessie Rone from Can You Say Addicted to Stamps is our hostess this month and our new Guest Designer for this month is Tangii Crain form The Inking Spot of Crain Creations.

Our awesome challenge for this week is Halloween Treats-either cards with treats on them, or Halloween items that you can give treats in.

Boy is this my kind of challenge!
You guys all know by now that I am a Halloween fan and I enjoy making Halloween treat holders. This box is made from a tutorial I found on Stampin Connection, which is a demo only site.
I did find a link to a pattern HERE on SplitcaostStampers.
They are so fun and fairly easy to make.
I made a couple for my samples here, I used Basic Black and Tangelo Twist card stock to make my boxes.

The DSP on the boxes are from the Stampin Up Happy Haunting paper pack.

I used the Spider Web Doilies. I cut one in half to use on these two boxes.
I flipped the one on the black box to the opposite side which is white.

I made bows for my two boxes using the same DSP and the Bow Builder Punch.
The sentiments come from the Sweet Hauntings stamp set.

Hope you like these treat holders and try them for yourselves, They hold a lot of candy!

Thanks for coming by today!

Crazy 4 Challenges.....Blue Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

Our challenge this week is:

Show Me The Blue!
September's birthstone is sapphire so make blue the most prominent color on your card.

I decided to pull out one of my fave sets and make some "blue sapphire flowers".

I stamped the flower image twice on my panel, not getting the whole image on either side,

I stamped with Black Stazon ink onto some heavy weight card stock. I used my aqua painter and Pacific Point ink.
The leaves are colored using Old Olive ink/

The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.
The base of the card is Pacific Point and then a layer of Black and the DSP is from the Pretty Petals pack.
I added two more strips of Black and layered some Silver Foil paper over them.
I used three of our mini silver brads at the bottom under the main panel. I decided I would like to add a few more onto the main image piece but I had already added it to the base with my dimensionals, so I snipped off the shank and then just glued down the top rounded pieces. I love them so I am sure I will be doing that again!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Crazy 4 challenges.....BOO!

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Cahllenges.

It is the third Saturday of the month which means it is a sketch challenge. here is the sketch this week:

Very cool huh?
I am still playing with my Stampin Up Halloween set called Haunt Ya Later.
This time I used the cute little Dracula.
He is adorable, I think and not frightening at all.
I stamped him with Memenot Black ink onto some Very Vanilla card stock and colored with my copic markers.
I fussy cut him out and set it aside to make the rest of the card.

The base of the card is Basic Black and then a layer of Very Vanilla and a piece of DSP from the Happy Hauntings DSP. Love this piece with the stars!
I added another strip of the DSP across the top, this piece is really cute too with it's jack o lantern faces.
The Boo and spider are die cut using the Boo to You framelits that co-ordinate with the Howl-O-ween Treat stamp set.

I die cut the Boo with the new Black Glimmer paper, love it!!
I added the spider which is a stamp in the Howl-O-ween Treat set using some of the silver thread and a couple of glue dots, tucking it in behind the Boo.

Be sure and head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the rest of the girsl did with this fun sketch!

Crazy 4 Challenges......grateful for you

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for another new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges

Here is our challenge this week:

Are you ready to celebrate Grandparents Day?

This week's challenge is all about Grandparents Day!
You can call them Grandma, Grandpa, Grammy, Grampy, Nana or Poppop.
No matter what you call them, they're special.  So let's make a card for that someone special that is older than you.

I pulled out my new Stampin Up set called Acorny Thank you with it's matching punch to make my card. Such a cute set.
I stamped the acorn with Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow, these colors are all from the DSP I used which is the Into the Woods pack. The orange DSP
on here is from the Happy Hauntings pack.

I used Soft Suede for the tops of my acorns. The punch makes it all so easy.
I added some linen thread and a few gold sequins.
The sentiment is from the Acorn stamp set and I mask it off and stamped part with Soft Suede ink and the other part with Tangelo Twist and punch out with the tiny heart punch.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy 4 Cahllenges......hello

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!!

Time for another new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges

Here is the fun challenge we have for you this week:

Labor Day is here!
Time to say goodbye to Summer, be it one last BBQ, dive in the pool, a parade or picnic.  How will you celebrate?
 Show me on a card.

Not sure my card is exactly "how I will celebrate" since I will be working this Labor Day weekend, but it is an end of summer type card.

I think Sunflowers are the perfect end of Summer flower, this the time of the year that you see so many of them around here, even after the long hot days of July and August they keep blooming, the hotter the better seems to work for them, since September can and is mostly still very warm here.

So anyway I decide to make some Sunflowers for my card.

I pulled out the Stampin Up Beautiful Bunch stamp set and stamped tis flower image 4 times onto some thick white card stock. I then colored suing my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks.
I fussy cut out the flowers and layered them together

To make the centers of my "sunflowers" I used some retired Early Espresso cardstock, this is the one that was in the catalog awhile back that was sandable. I still had a bunch and thought it would be cute for the flower centers. I used my 1-3/8 inch circle punch and then ran the circle through my Big shot using the decorative dots EF

The leaves are from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.
I stamped them onto white card stock and colored with Old Olive,

I used Crumb Cake for the base and stamped lightly with Crumb Cake ink using the
Hardwood BG.

I added another strip of the sandable Early Espresso cards tock that was embossed with the Woodgrain EF and sanded.
I then used a small piece of glimmer paper and the little hello sentiment to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy 4 Challenges....thanks for being you

Happy Saturday peeps!!

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

The challenge this week is:

Tag You’re It!
This week let’s use a Tag on whatever you create. It can be an individual tag or you can add the tag to your card/project you create.

I made a couple of cards for this challenge using tags,
I like to make tags and use as the focal point on a card, it is really easy and you can
add whatever you like to a tag.
I , of course, used flowers!

The flower on here is fast becoming a favorite of mine, it comes from the photo polymer set called Crazy About You. It is loaded with words and contains just a couple of flowers and leaf images. It is a must have in my opinion.
I used some paper from the Go Wild paper stack and I love the pop of color the yellow brings to the card.

I cut a piece of burlap ribbon and frayed it apart to add to my tag and behind it also.

Now my other card was a fun one to make too:

This card is made completely using the Endless Thanks stamp set, it is another photo polymer set that I love!

The flowers are little but so fun, I stamped them using Rose Red, Watermelon Wonder and Crisp Cantaloupe. I fussy cut them out and added them to my tag in no particular order, I popped up a few with dimensionals.

So which one do you prefer?
Leave me a comment and you could win a pack of the Stampin Up new Perfect Accents:

I love these and used them on both of my tag cards today. I will draw a random name on Friday! good luck!!

Thanks for stopping by today

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.
This week our challenge is:

The 23rd August is Ride the Wind Day, for our challenge this week create
a card that features something that relies on the wind eg kite, hot air balloon, pinwheel, sailboat, windmill, balloons etc.

I decided to go with "balloons".
I pulled out my Stampin Up Celebrate Today stamp set with it's matching framelits and got busy!

The base of the card is Naturals Ivory card stock. I then used a layer of DSP from the Pretty Petals stack.

The balloon is tamped with one of the new In-Colors, Mint Macron.
I then used some Bermuday Bay for the confetti inside the Balloon.
I cut out the balloon with the matching framelits and the bow is stamped with black and cut out with one of the framelits as well.

The Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.
I used a bit of linen thread for the string on the balloon.

Crazy 4 Challenges......thinking of you

Happy Saturday Peeps!!
Time for another new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

Our challenge for you this week is:

The 7th of August was National Lighthouse Day , so for our challenge today create a
card featuring a lighthouse.
If you don't have a lighthouse, think where you would find a lighthouse…
near the sea, beach etc and use
that for your
inspiration.

I don't have a lighthouse stamp so I decide to create a little beach scene, I tried a few times and finally just cut down a piece and went with it.
I used the ink on an acrylic block method here. I used Lost Lagoon and So Saffron ink onto my acrylic block and then spritzed it a couple of times and stamped it directly onto some watercolor paper. I then used a a small paint brush dipped into some water to spread around the color a bit.

I then used the Wetlands stamp set to add the small birds.
The sentiment comes from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and I stamped the bottom portion with another stamp from the Wetlands set. I used Crumb Cake ink.

The main image is matted with Lost Lagoon card stock and the DSP is from the Neutrals Pad.
I used some linen thread and wrapped around the bottom of the card and tied a small bow.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I stamped the image with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter, I used Cherry Cobbler ink on the flower and Old Olive on the leaves, I then fussy cut it out flower and added it to my circle die cut with a few dimensionals.

The base of the card is Basic Black card stock and then the next layer is more Basic Black that I embossed with the Elegant Dots EF.
Next up is layer of Silver Foil and then the pretty Black striped paper is from the Naturals pack.
Next is another piece of silver foil. I cut these all to make my flag banners.
I added a bot of silver thread behind my main image and added it all to the base with dimensionals.
