With Sympathy

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the sketch this week at

I love a good sketch and this one is great.

I stared with the Petal Palette stamp set.
I stamped the flower with Black Stazon ink and colored with
my aqua painter.
I used Calypso Coral and Old Olive inks
I used the matching dies to cut out the flowers.

The base of the card is thick whisper white and then a layer of Calypso Coral.
I embossed another piece of whisper white with the Country Floral EF.

The strip of DSP comes from the Happiness Blooms pack.
I added a strip of Calypso Coral that I stamped another image from the same set
onto using Calypso Coral ink.

My sentiment comes from the Lasting Lily stamp set.
I finished with a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by today.

From The Heart

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

The challenge this week at Stamps, Ink, Paper Challenge Blog
is CAS Valentines.

 AND

When I first saw the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches
I thought I will just pass this week..lol!

But I kept thinking about it and thought I'll give it a go
with some hearts to coordinate with the SIP challenge
I first started just stamping some hearts from the Meant to Be
set directly onto whisper white card stock.
I was not really liking it and twice I smeared some ink....Grrrr!!

Then it hit me, die cut them silly!!
So glad I did, cos I am really liking the look of these hearts.
They remind me of the Conversation Candy Hearts.
I stamped the image several times using a variety of colors, I used Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.
I then die cut them out with one of the dies from the Be Mine Framelits. I love this heart with the ruffles and stitching.

I laid them out moving and arranging until I was happy
with them and then attached to my whisper white piece with dimensionals.

My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I stamped with Black Memento ink.
I mated this piece with Flirty Flamingo cardstock and
glued it directly to my thick whisper white base.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

The challenge this week at The Card Concept, inspired my card I am showing you today.

 Pink Party!

Are you sick of seeing me use this  flower stamp yet?
It is an oldie but definitely, in my eyes, a goodie!

I love the flower, the size of the stamp, the fact that the one flower can be the whole focal image on a card. I love to color this flower as well. I used my favorite method of coloring, watercoloring.

I stamped the flower onto some thick whisper white card stock with black stazon and colored with my water brush. I have had several people ask me about my method of coloring on cardstock so here is a short description of what I do. Yes, coloring on card stock takes some practice, but it is my favorite method. The secret, if there is one, is a light touch and less water. I always start by coloring in the entire flower image lightly with my ink thinned with water substantially. I then go back in adding more color to achieve the shading I want . You do have to be a bit careful to not have to much water flowing from your brush. Practice, practice and more practice.

I fussy cut out my image and added it to the card with dimensionals. The white die cut piece is also added with dimesionals.

There is jus a bi of gold in the inspiration photo, so I added a bit of gold ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Peal Palette set.

Congratulations

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I have a card to share that I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used the Petal Palette set.
I stamped the flower image twice onto some scraps of thick whisper white card stock with Black Stazon ink.
I colored the flowers with my water brush and ink pads. I used Real Red and Pear Pizzazz inks.
I used the matching framelits to cut out the two flower images.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock. I then used a piece of DSP from the Neutrals pack and matted it with white card stock.

I added this directly to the base.
I die cut my sentiment piece with white card stock and added my sentiment, which is from the same set as the flowers.

Then that die cut piece is added to the base with dimensionals as is the flower pieces. Lots of dimension on here.

I finished it up with just a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by today!

Life is Better...

Hello Peeps and happy Thursday!!

Today I am sharing a card using a few leftovers.

These pink hears was die cut before the Holidays when I received the Nothing Sweeter Bundle

I thought they would be cute for a Valentine type card and I die cut them out to just see how they looked.

They had been sitting in a bowl on my desk with a bunch of other die cuts, I generally cut something out with my dies when I first get them just to make sure they are all ok.

So when I saw the challenge at Just Us Girls challenge blog
I knew the hearts would be great to try and put something together.

The Crumb Cake die piece is also a piece I cut awhile back.

The base of my card is some Thick Whisper White card stock and I added a piece of DSP from the Wood grains pack.

I stamped a sentiment from the Petal Palette set onto my crumb cake die cut with Black Memento ink.

I added a small piece of Crumb Cake polka dot paper that I cut fish tail ends on to the die cut.

I added some curled up twine a and a little strip of silver glimmer paper next and then added my two die cut hearts to the piece with some dimensionals.

I added a strip of pink pirouette card stock across the middle and then added the main piece to the card with more dimensionals.

A few little rhinestones finishes it up.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday Peeps!!

I am about done with all my Christmas crafting and I had a request for an anniversary card so I took some time yesterday to work this one up.

I used the sketch this week at Sunday Stamps for the start of my card.

This flower stamp is, while still in the current catalog,
is an older one I have.

I used a favorite flower stamp Petal Palette.
I stamped the flower image onto some thick whisper white card stock.
I used my water brush and ink pads to color the flower and leaves
I used Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz ink pads.

I used the matching dies to cut out the flower piece.

I die cut a circle to mount the flowers onto.

The sentiment is from the Bouquet Bunch stamp set.
I love the pretty font in this set.

The DSP I used is from a retired pack.
The base of the card is thick whisper white card stock.

I added some white bakers wine and bow to my side piece.

I finished up with just a scattering of rhinestones.

Postings here may be a bit fewer til after Christmas,
today starts my Holiday Baking and candy making marathon.

Season's Greetings

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch challenge this week at Crazy 4 Challenges.

My many layers version of the sketch!

I hadn't really intended to make this a Christmas card until I stared putting it all together and well, it just happened.

I stared out stamping the flower image from Petal Palette on some thick whisper white card stock.
I decided to color my roses red.
I used Real Red and my water brush for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz was used to color the leaves and to stamp the rest of the foliage.

Of course I reverted to using some DSP from he Wood Textures pack along with a bit of Real Red card stock.
The sentiment is from the Wishing You Well stamp set. I stamped with Real Red ink as well.
I added a twine bow and a few rhinestones to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Thank you

Happy Saturday Peeps!
Today I am sharing a Thank You card I made.
I love flower cards, as you all know, and I was in need of a thank you card so I decided on a fall themed one.

The flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet was stamped with Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. The pumpkin pie flowers were stamped twice to acheive a darker color, closer to the DSP.

The base of the card is hick Whisper White and the DSP is from a retired pack called International Bazaar.
I die cut several leaves using the matching dies and tucked them in and around my flowers.

The sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.
