More Beautiful Bouquet

Happy Wednesday Peeps!

As I told you yesterday I have a couple of more cards to share that
uses the same layout just with different colors

I used Highland Heather for the Happy Anniversary card.

These were so fun to put together and super easy with all the die cuts.

The next one uses Pool Party ink and card stock.

Thanks a Bunch, such a fitting sentiment for the "bunch of flowers".

I finished all of the cards with some little basic pearls in the flower centers and
on the sentiment piece.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary

Hello Peeps!!!

For my card today I am using this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.

I am using the great Bloom by Bloom stamp set. I love these small flowers.

I stamped a few in Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick.

My leaf stamp is from the Beautiful Bouquet set.
I used Granny Apple Green for them.

I used another stamp in the Bloom by Bloom set for the small Daffodil Delight dots.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet set.
I stamped it with Black Memento Ink.

I had planned on making a single layer card but, as usual, I smeared a bit of ink while stamping my flowers so I trimmed down the panel and mated it with a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock.

I added this to a thick Whisper White base.
I finished with a few sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequins pack.

Thanks for coming by!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday Peeps!!

I am about done with all my Christmas crafting and I had a request for an anniversary card so I took some time yesterday to work this one up.

I used the sketch this week at Sunday Stamps for the start of my card.

Also the challenge this week at The Flower Challenge

This flower stamp is, while still in the current catalog,
is an older one I have.

I used a favorite flower stamp Petal Palette.
I stamped the flower image onto some thick whisper white card stock.
I used my water brush and ink pads to color the flower and leaves
I used Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz ink pads.

I used the matching dies to cut out the flower piece.

I die cut a circle to mount the flowers onto.

The sentiment is from the Bouquet Bunch stamp set.
I love the pretty font in this set.

The DSP I used is from a retired pack.
The base of the card is thick whisper white card stock.

I added some white bakers wine and bow to my side piece.

I finished up with just a scattering of rhinestones.

Postings here may be a bit fewer til after Christmas,
today starts my Holiday Baking and candy making marathon.

I do have a couple more Christmas cards, treats and tags to share and hopefully I will have time to blog those.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Sweet Sunday.....Happy Anniversary

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is our sweet sketch for this week:

What a great sketch!
This one is free and easy one that has TONS of possibilities!
Make the background the focal point, make the center the focal point, it's all up to you!

Well, I kinda made the background and the center the focal points on my card!!

I started out with some watercolor paper and stamped my flower image, which is from the Best Thoughts Hostess Stamp Set.
I colored the image using my aqua painter and ink pads.

After working hard to get this vibrant intense color on my flower and letting it dry thoroughly I moved onto the BG.

I wet the entire BG ( avoiding the flower) with some plain water before adding my ink and letting it flow around. I used Pacific Point for this stage.
I added just a touch of the Melon Mambo in a couple of places, and when mixed with the blue turned a lovely shade of lavender, you can see just a hint of it here and there.
After drying this thoroughly, with my heat tool, I went back in a dropped a few drops of water around again avoiding the flower. After letting the water set for a few I dabbed it up with a paper towel to ge the spotting you see.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Love stamp set and the line under that is from the Tim of Cards stamp set. I then added a few gold sequins to finish it up.

I hope you have some time to play with this weeks sketch!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Color Challenge....with love

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

It sure doesn't seem like a Wednesday to me, with the holidays and all, my days are all mixed up!!! LOL!
I decided this year the only New Year's resolution I would make was to participate and a few more challenges on Splitcoaststampers. That is an easy resolution and one I should not have too much trouble keeping!!
So to start things off on the right foot I looked to see what the Color Challenge was yesterday.
It is this beautiful, elegant combo of gold, silver and white.
Since I had some time I decided to see what I could come up with.
I pulled out a piece of Stampin Up Brushed Gold and Brushed Silver card stock and also some scraps of Whisper White.
The base of the card is the Brushed Gold and then the next layer is a piece of the Brushed Silver and then more Brushed Gold that I embossed with the Fancy Fan EF. I used a piece of the Brushed Silver and one of the Delicate Designs EF for the piece across the bottom, I trimmed along the scallop edge of the embossing with my paper snips.

I added some Whisper White satin ribbon across where the gold and silver layers came together and tied a pretty bow.
I then embossed and cut out an oval frame using the Designer Frames EF and some of the Brushed Silver card stock.. I used my Sizzix 3-d flower die to cut out the flowers, I rolled them up and added them to the frame using my glue gun. I punched out a few leaves using the Silver card sock and the bird punch and added them around the flowers. I then added some dimesionals to the back of the frame and added it to the base. My sentiment is from the Stampin Up Field Flowers stamp set and I used black stazon on Whisper White card stock. I cut it out and "V" cut the ends and curled it just a bit and tucked it in by the flowers.
I finished it off with some silver pearls in the flower centers and top corners of the card.
This card could be used for a number of different occasions, Wedding, Anniversary, Valentines or just a Thinking of You card.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

The Paper Players Color Challenge

Happy Hump Day Peeps, hope your week is going well so far.

I don't normally share much on my blog about my personal life but since I have had several e-mails about things I thought I would take a moment to share.
August 1st DH had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital via an ambulance. He had a heart catherization and 4 stents. But as the doctor said to me afterwards- that was only secondary to his big problem, his heart muscle is very diseased more so than it should be for a man his age and is only functioning at 15% of what it should be. He said it is more than likely that he will never be able to work again. He is doing well now after a second trip to the hospital, just have to be careful. Needless to say we have had alot of things to work out. We will get there, but sure wouldn't mind a few prayers if you are so inclined.

Anyway I took a little time on Sunday to make a couple of cards, I had a sweet etsy customer ask for some Anniversary cards so I looked around for a couple of challenges to spur me forward. I always love the challenges on  The Paper Players Blog and went there to check it out. It was this nice color challenge:

I created the two shades of cherry cobbler for the flowers by simply stamping off the first layer once and then full strength on the second layer. I did the same  with the leaves and the crumb cake ink.
I used the night of navy for my sentiment.
The DSP and sentiment piece is from a Simply Sent kit.

I used cherry cobbler for the base and the next layer is crumb cake and then some white that I embossed with the perfect dots folder.
I added some silver sticky pearls (non SU) to the top corners and the sentiment piece.
I do love this flower stamp from Stampin Up called "Stippled Blossoms".

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Dynamic Duos.....Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week on the Dynamics Duo Blog.

I actually CASED a card I had made awhile back, you can see it HERE
I really enjoy making these rolled flowers, but this card would not be an easily mailable card because those roses are very thick and stick off the card a bit.

Hope you enjoy this one!
Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday Peeps, I have been busy making cards for a large order I received from a very sweet customer and she requested a few Anniversary cards. Generally she tells me what she would like on the cards she orders or she request one or more of my cards I have posted here on my blog with a certain sentiment to fit her needs. But this time on a few of the cards she said "surprise me", love that!!

This is just one of the surprise me cards she asked for. I already had the flowers done from another project that I ended up using another image with so I just had to work in the sentiment, which comes form the retired
Stampin Up set called Something to Celebrate. It is one long sentiment so I used my stamp a ma jig to line it up like it appears on my card.

I kinda just winged it with this layout, I wanted to use this pretty piece of DSP from the Twitterpatted paper pack and then I layered it up a bit and of course I had to add a piece of card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF, that has to be my all time favorite embossing folder. I use it on almost everything i make and I have to force myself sometimes to use some different ones so I know I am obsessed with it....:)

I used some pearl swirls around the focal piece and added some whisper white satin ribbon and tied a nice bow.
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC133....Happy Anniversary

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

I know I say this almost every week, but this is a GREAT sketch, simple and clean, gotta love it!!

I started the card with a base of Pretty in Pink card stock and then I followed that with some Pear Pizzazz card stock. The DSP I used is from the Soft Subtles DSP.
The stamp set I used is the Stampin Up "Simply Soft" a beautiful Hostess set. I stamped the flower three times with black stazon onto white card stock. I colored in with my aqua painter using pink pirouette, pretty in pink and melon mambo ink. The leaves and stem is done with certainly celery, pear pizzazz and some old olive ink. I matted the circle with a scallop Melon Mambo. I added two rows of scallops in melon and pear card stock. I then scrunched some white taffeta ribbon across the top of the scallops. I added the main image panel to the card with some dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the "A Word for You" stamp set, I just masked off the part I wanted to use. I stamped with black ink onto white card stock. I matted with some pretty in pink and cut both ends into "V's" I added a small little melon flower with a small pearl onto the sentiment flag and three basic pearls finished it up!

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Well, thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
