Splitcoast color Challenge.....Birthday wishes

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card using the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

I pretty much CASED a card by my friend Narella.
I changed up the colors and DSP and used white for my base, but I used the same layout and flowers and sentiment she used, I LOVE her card and I wanted to try my hand at it.

The flowers come from the Stampin Up Secret Garden stamp set and I used the matching framelits to cut out the flower and leaves. The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set.
I love this color combo and think the card turned out really nice.

Thanks for stopping by today!

The leaves are stamped with Crumb Cake.
The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Petite Pairs stamp set.

I added some bashful blue satin ribbon, I love this satin ribbon!
The DSP is from the Prints Poetry pack. I used some basic pearls for corner accents and in the middle of the flowers.

Merry Monday.....Snow Much Fun

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Sorry I am a bit late posting, I didn't get this post pre-scheduled and was just tooooo pooped last night after work to do it. But I am off work today and I am going to enjoy some much needed down time and time with hubby!!

Anyway on to my card for today, Lesley has another awesome sketch for us this week:

When I saw this sketch I thought right away that I would use this fun PTI die I got last winter to make my card. I LOVE this die with the sledder!! Just tooooo  much fun! I have some great childhood memories of doing this very thing!

I kept my card very Clean and Simple, I used a base of PTI white and then some retiring, BOO!, baja breeze and then the DSP I used is from Stampin Up Snow Festival paper pack.
The sentiment is from the Snow Much Fun stamp set.

Sweet Sunday.....Oh, Hello

Happy Sunday peeps!!

Here is our Sweet Sketch for this week:

I decided to pull out a fave set of mine, the Stampin Up Stippled Blossoms.
I, of course, wanted to use a bit of the new Gingham garden DSP so that decided my color.
I stamped the flowers with Regal Rose and Melon Mambo on whisper white.
The lighter looking flower is the regal stamped off once. I can't really decide which I like better, the lighter or darker flower, they are both pretty.

The base of the card is White and then some Melon Mambo and then more white that I embossed with the Perfect Dots EF. I then embossed and cut two pieces of card stock, one white and one Melon, using one of the Delicate Designs EF. I added my strip of the gingham DSP on the side.
The sentiment is from the Oh,  Hello stamp set.

Wildflower Meadow Birthday

Hello Peeps!!!

Another sweet little sneak peek. Love this new set with matching embossing folder called Wildflower Meadow.

I saw a card similar to this one on Stampin Connection (a demo only site) and had to give this technique a try.
To start you stamp the image with white craft ink onto the Crumb Cake card stock. I then used my ink pads and aqua painter to color the image. Love the results.

I used some Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple card stock for the base and the mat.

Admittedly I need some more practice with this technique but it sure is fun to work with!

Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps!!

Today I have another sneak peek share for you,
I love this new DSP, called Gingham Garden, isn't the gingham so pretty?

I used daffodil delight for the base of my card and then some white card stock to amt the DSP onto.

I made another tissue paper flower, this time I used daffodil delight ink to color the flower.
I punched out about 8-10 layers of tissue using my scallop circle punch. I used my piercing tool and mat pack to put a small hole through the center of the scallop circles. I then added a small brad through them to hold all the layers together.

Then using a sponge and the ink pad start sponging ink onto the layers of tissue all around and then pull up the first layer and repeat with each layer of tissue. Does, that make sense? It is really easy and makes some pretty cute flowers. :) I made the leaves using the blossom builder punch.
The sentiment is from the retired "Something to Celebrate" set. I finished off with a few basic pearls.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek!!!
Have a great day!

You are Simply Wonderful

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another sneak peek. This time the Washi Tape that will be available in Stampin Up's new catalog.

I hadn't ever worked with washi tape but when it was available in our smeak peek items I decided to give it a try, well it sit on my desk for quite awhile before I got brave enough to give it a try.
I created the background you see here with the three colors of tape in the package, Gingham Garden. It was kinda fun to work with.
I started with a piece of white cardstock, 4-3/4" x 3-1/2", I covered  this piece with the washi tape going at an angle and alternating the colors. I matted this with some night of navy card stock.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and I made the flower with some tissue paper and my scallop circle punch. I then sponged all the layers of tissue with some melon mambo ink. I love the variegated coloring of the rose.
The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set. I cut it out with one of the Apothecary framelits.
I finished off with some basic pearls.

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Lesley has another awesome sketch for us this week:

I pulled out my Stampin Up Wonderful Winterland for my card. Love the sweet little images in this set.
I stamped the image with black stazon onto white card stock and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used bashful blue, cherry cobbler and some blushing bride for the skin tone.
The image is cut out using one of the Window Frames framelits.

The base of the card is crumb cake and the DSP is from the festival of prints pack.

The sentiment is from the retired Bright Christmas set. I added a small snowflake button, I sniped the shank off before gluing on. I finished off with a couple of rhinestones.

Dynamic Duos meets the Paper Players for Father's Day

Hello Peeps!!

Today I  am sharing a card I made combining two of my favorite challenges
The Dynamic Duo's Challenge this week is a great combo:

and the challenge this week at The Paper Players:

I love Pacific Point and don't use it very much and masculine cards are always a challenge for me and I thought combining the two would be the perfect marriage for my card.

The motorcycle is a retired Stampin Up single stamp that I just recently acquired. I stamped with black stazon and colored with pacific point.

The DSP on here is from the International Bazaar pack and I added in the basic black to mat and make my flags. The flags I embossed using the square lattice EF. I added a few silver brads at the top,  keeping it simple.
I know just who will be getting this card! Hope he likes it.

Color Challenge.....Warmest Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on SplitcoastStampers.

The colors are Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay and Regal Rose.

I started out with a totally different stamp set and didn't like what I came up with, so I moved onto a favorite
"Pleasant Poppies"-can't go wrong with this stamp!

I stamped the flowers with black stazon and colored with the regal rose and certainly celery. I then outlined them with the bermuda bay. It is very light but it is there and gives a nice effect I think.

I matted this image with regal rose. The base of the card is confetti cream and then regal rose. I used another piece of  cream and embossed the top part of it. I then used my score board and scored two lines across the bottom. I stamped my sentiment between these lines.
The sentiment comes from the Bloomin with Kindness stamp set.
I added a few basic pearls to finish it off.

Dynamic Duos.....Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

today I am sharing a card made using a color challenge at Dynamic Duos.
This week is their one year anniversary and to celebrate they are asking us to choose a favorite past color combo. Well, as most of you know I love Concord Crush and I know it is retired but I love it so and I stocked up a bit before it retired, and team it up with Wisteria and it just sings!!!!

I decide to use a pretty Stampin Up set that is about to retire, "Just Believe" will be gone soon, lounging on a beach somewhere and soaking up the sun, but not my set, it is a keeper.

I stamped the image with Concord Crush a couple of times onto some Whisper White card stock and then made a mask for the moon with a post it note and my 1-1/2 inch circle sponge. I then sponged over the whole thing with Concord Crush going very dark to very light top to bottom.

The base of my card is a 5 inch x 10 inch  piece  of Concord Crush folded in half, then a layer of Wisteria Wonder and then I used my diagonal score board to create the lines on the white piece.

The main image is matted with wisteria and concord card stock.  The sentiment comes from the Happiest Birthday wishes stamp set. I added some Wisteria ribbon and silver brads to finish the card.

The base of the card is Crumb cake and then the DSP is all matted with confetti cream card stock.
The image is also stamped on the same card stock and then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler ink.
I cut out some of the leaves and added them over the base ones with some dimensionals.
The sentiment comes from the Four the Holidays set.

SplitCoast Color Challenge.......Thanks So Much

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I took a look  at the color challenge over at SplitCoastStampers. First up I saw the pretty colors and then the fact that my awesome friend Wendy was guest designing this month. So of course I HAD to play along!

Here are the colors this week:

Basic Gray, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.
When I went looking through my card stock I couldn't locate my Blushing Bride, I know I have some, but since I re-organized I can't find several things!! LOL!!

Anyway, I knew right away I wanted to use a NEW FAVORITE, The Stampin Up "Simply Sketched" which is gonna be a hostess set in the new catalog.
I stamped the image and sentiment with black stazon onto some Confetti White card stock and I colored with my aqua painter and blushing bride ink pad. I stamped a second image and colored the flower and added it over the bottom one with some dimensionals.  I cut out with my circle nesties and then sponged the edges lightly with basic gray while the nesties was still in place.

The base of the card is the confetti white card stock, then a layer of basic gray and then a piece of pink pirouette that I embossed with Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.
I added the nmain panel to the base with some dimensionals. I added some basic pearls and some Organza Ribbon.

Merry Monday...Peace on Earth

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley has a very fun and simple sketch for us:

Well, even if I say simple, I did have a bit of trouble with this one, I wasn't sure what to do with it. I had just gotten me a few new Memory Box dies and this "Twiggy Tree" was perfect.
I die cut the tree three times with night of navy card stock and layered them together. The little red birds are a PTI die.

The base of the card is Night of Navy card stock and then the next layer is whisper white card stock.
The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Greetings of the Season stamp set.
Very simple and easily mailed. Not much bulk with this one!

Playing Dress Up

Hello Peeps!! Today I am sharing some cards I made using the Stampin Up Dress Up Framelits.
I had such fun making these, reminds me a bit of playing with paper dolls.

I used various Stampin Up Designer Paper and card stock.
I added some Birthday and Celebrate Sentiments to the cards and a couple have some silver glimmer paper.

If you look close you will notice a couple of Sneak Peeks on here in the sentiments.

I die cut all of the Dress Forms using some of the Natural Composition Specialty Paper, I bought this paper when the catalog first came out last year and had NEVER even opened it! What was I waiting for, the best thing is this paper is carried over to the new catalog.

Hope you enjoyed this little "dress up" post!

Friends Gifties

I have been busy the past few days making some little swap gifts for some friends.

I have been playing with the  bottle caps from Stampin Up.
I flattened these in the Big Shot.
I used the silver and red glimmer paper.

Here are the little key chains I made, I used the 1 inch circle punch with the silver glimmer and the small hear t punch with the red glimmer. The "friends" comes from the Tiny Tags stamp set. I hand cut these out and added it just under the heart. I covered the while thing with Crystal Effects and then let dry. I used my crop a dial to punch a hole for the chains. I have a bunch of these ball key chains I got years ago at a little junk store.

These are the magnets. I did the same with them as the key chain just didn't add the sentiment. I added a magnet to the back and packaged them up.  After getting them all made up, my daughter commented that they looked like owls!
Now who wouldn't like these???
