Merry Monday.....Season's Greetings

Merry Monday Peeps
Today Lesley has another great sketch for us:

I pulled out some retired Stampin Up paper that I love called Deck the Halls.
The holly leaves comes from the "Bells and Boughs" stamp set.
I love this set and will probably never part with it.

The base of the card is Crumb cake and then the DSP is all matted with confetti cream card stock.
The image is also stamped on the same card stock and then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler ink.
I cut out some of the leaves and added them over the base ones with some dimensionals.
The sentiment comes from the Four the Holidays set.

Merry Monday....Christmas Bells

Merry Monday Peeps!!!
Today Lesley at Always Playing with Paper has a fun new sketch for us:

I flipped the sketch, well actually it is a mirror image of the sketch.
I moved the flag panel piece to the opposite side to accommodate my sentiment piece.
My image of the pretty bells  comes from the Stampin Up "Bells and Bough" stamp set and I was very much inspired by THIS BEAUTY created by the super talented Amy White.
I loved how she colored and layered the image and wanted to try it myself.

Here is a closeup pic of the layers:

The DSP on here is from the Festival of Prints pack and the pretty plaid is from the Storytime pack.
The sentiment is from the "Open Sleigh" stamp set.
I added some crystal effects to the berries and covered the rest of the image with a bit of shimmer paint:

The base of the card is Riding Hood Red, one of the colors that is retiring. I then added a lyer of white and then the DSP.
I think this may be my favorite Christmas card, I have made so far this year!

Now be sure and hop on over to Lesley's Blog to see what the rest of the Merry makers
did with this great sketch.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

A Merry Christmas

Happy hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another card I made using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
On this one I used some retired Stampin' Up DSP, this is from last year and is called Deck the Halls, I believe.  I used Crumb Cake card stock for my base and Cherry Cobbler card stock for matting the DSP. I cut out a tag using the two tags die and I embossed it with the snow burst EF.
I cut it in half and trimmed it down to fit my image and the sketch.

the image is from the Stampin Up Bells & Boughs stamp set. I stamped it onto some confetti cream card stock and colored it with my aqua painter and ink pads.
The sentiment is from the same set and is tamped with black stazon ink.
I added some very vanilla satin ribbon and silver pearls.

That is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SC311.....Merry Christmas Holly

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the
sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.
I haven't played over there in quite some time and I am making a point to do it more.

I loved this sketch, and again I am still making some Christmas cards. I started the card with a base of Crumb cake card stock. I followed that with some very vanilla and the DS paper is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. I stamped the image from the Bells & Boughs stamp set onto very vanilla card stock with black stazon ink. I colored it in with always artichoke and cherry cobbler ink using my aqua painter. I added some crystal effects to the berries to make them shine. I splattered the image with some early espresso ink that I watered down a splattered on with my aqua painter.

The sentiment comes from the A Cardinal Christmas stamp set and I had cut the ends and created a wavy effect by rolling it around a marker. I attached it to the image panel with some foam tape in the middle and glue on the ends I added some always artichoke seam binding ribbon and made a bow. Finally I finished it off with some rusty jingle bells I had in my stash and tied it to the bow with some twine.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

SSSC96.......A Merry Christmas and a Goodbye

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I loved this fun sketch, I started my card with a base of Crumb Cake card stock. I followed that up with some cherry cobbler card stock and all of the DS paper is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. I stamped the Holly from the Stampin' Up Bells and Boughs stamp set with black stazon onto very vanilla card stock. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set with cherry cobbler ink below the holly. I colored the holly and berries in with my aqua painter and ink from the always artichoke ink pad and the berries are colored with cherry cobbler ink. I cut the square so as the top of the holly would be out of the box. I matted the image and sentiment piece with crumb cake card stock. I mounted with some foam tape. I added some cherry cobbler and very vanilla seam binding ribbon across the middle and tied a bow. I like the two tone effect. I added a vintage brad to the center of the bow. I used my 3/4 inch circle punch to make the scallop cherry cobbler border. To finish it off I added some crystal effects to the holly and berries and sprinkled a bit of diamond dust glitter over the glaze while it was wet.

Here is a detail shot, so you can see a bit of the shine and glitter:

MTSC....A Merry Christmas

Good Friday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday sketch Challenge.

Another vintage type card made with the Stampin Up set "Bells & Boughs". I stamped my main image, the holly leaves onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set onto the card stock with cherry cobbler ink. I colored in the holly leaves with always artichoke ink and the berries with cherry cobbler ink using my aqua painter. I splattered the image with some watered down always artichoke ink. I added some crumb cake ink around the outside of the image. I matted the image with crumb cake card stock. The oval and the scallop oval was cut with my nesties. The DSP I used is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. The base of the card is made with Crumb Cake card stock and the DS paper is matted with very vanilla card stock. I added some always artichoke punched edge along one of the layers. I also used some always artichoke seam binding to tie a pretty bow. I added a few little pearls in the top left corner and finished the card of by adding some crystal effects to the holly berries, to make them pop and shine! Love the look of that!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC.......Happy Holidays

TGIF Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to some weekend fun!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I again reached for some Deck the Halls DSP! I think I am hooked on that paper, I had shied away from this paper, but once I got into it I can't stop using it.....LOL!!!

The stamp set I used is Bells & Boughs from the holiday mini. I stamped the bells onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I then used my aqua painter to color. I used more mustard, cherry cobbler, bravo burgundy and always artichoke ink. I sponged the edges with crumb cake ink. The sentiment is from the stamp set Four the Holidays. I added some always artichoke seam binding ribbon and a button from the Deck the Halls button pack. I threaded a bit of always artichoke card stock through the button and added to the bow. I finished it off with a few antique copper brads.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!
