Happy Birthday Cake

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the fun Piece of Cake stamp set with matching punch.

I was excited to get this set and punch recently, it went on back order quickly when first coming out, so when it was back in stock I snapped it up.

I stamped the cake image with Black Memento ink and colored with
my Highland Heather Blends. I colored the cake plate with my gray blends.

I used Crumb Cake for my base and followed that with a piece of
Highland Heather. The DSP I used is from a retired pack.
I added a strip of burlap ribbon across the botttom
And how about that Highland Heather twine?
I made that using some strands from the Flax ribbon and colored with
the Highland Heather Blend.

I used some basic black card stock and white embossing powder to
make the sentiment.
I added a few sticky rhinestone flowers from the Gingham Gala pack.

Happy Birthday for Seize the Birthday

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

they have a fun challenge this week.

The toppings being
" DOTS & STRIPES"

I love dots and stripes so I had to play along.
I stared with a base of Gray Granite and then a layer
of Night of Navy.
The DSP is from the retired Neutrals pack

I then stamped several flowers from the Bloom by Bloom set with
Night of Navy and Balmy Blue ink.
I stamped several leaves from the same set with Granny Apple Green ink.

I fussy cut them out and arranged them on a die cut circle using dimensionals.
I added the circle with flowers to the card with dimensionals as well.

I added little pearls to the flower centers.

I die cut the Happy three times with Night of Navy cardstock and stacked and glued together.
I stamped the Birthday with Night of Navy ink.

I added this piece to the card with dimesionals.

I finished with a few more little pearls.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

 Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a new set
from the Occasions Mini called All That You Are.

You know I love this set and it was on the top of the list for me.
I am a "flower" girl from the get go. Give me a flower to color and I am a happy camper.

I stamped the image onto thick whisper white.
I wanted to add a couple of extra flowers to the image, so I stamped
one of the other flowers in the set a couple of times as well.

I used Lovely Lipstick to color the flowers.
Lovely Lipstick is really close to Melon Mambo and when water colored looks considerably lighter.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, loosely for my card layout.

I used Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for my leaves.
I added just a touch of Daffodil Delight to the flower centers.

The base of my card is Daffodil Delight
and I am loving the new Gingham Gala DSP.
I used a couple of the colors on this card.

The sentiment is from the same set.

I am also linking this card to the Seize the Birthday  anything goes.

Happy Birthday

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a  a retired set called Crazy About You.

I love his single flower in the set and have held onto it just for that flower

I used the challenges this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and Seize the Birthday
to get my card started.

I love a black and white card with a pop of color.

I used another retired favorite, Wisteria Wonder, for my color pop.
I did sneak in just a bit of Pear Pizzazz for my three little leaves.

The base of my card is thick whisper white and I used a black and white striped piece of DSP from the Neutrals DSP that is also retired, I guess the key work on my card is "retired"....hey, I say use it up!

I matted the DSP with some basic black and glued it directly to my base.

The white die cut piece is added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped with Black Memento ink and is from the Southern Serenade stamp set.

I decided to add the  black flag piece after the card was mostly put together, so I just tucked the two pieces under the edge of the die cut and glue them down.

I finished with a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for taking a look.

Inspiration......Happy Birthday to you

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a new (to me) challenge.

I took my inspiration from the colors in the cute little cupcakes.

I started by coloring the pretty flower from the Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp set,

I colored using Real Red and Cherry Cobbler for the flower and the leaves are colored with Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.

I fussy cut the image out and set aside to make the rest of the card.

The base of the card is Basic Black card stock followed by a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I used a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock and stenciled with Marina Mist ink. I used a Tim Holtz stencil.

The sentiment is from the Party Pants stamp set which was a special Sale-A-Bration set and I stamped with Black Memento Ink.
I added the flower to this piece with dimensionals. I added a small strip of Black and white DSP from the Neutrals pack. I then added a few silver *non SU pearls and a little twine bow. I then covered all of the flowers on here with my wink of stella pen giving it such a nice glittery glow. Which does not show on camera :(

Happy Birthday

Happy Friday peeps!

Yesterday evening I took a few minutes to make this card, I used the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

and I also took a peek at the challenge this week at Stamp Paper Ink Challenge Blog, which was a fun tic-tac-toe challenge:

I went with the flowers, Birthday and Black, hope I have enough black on my card.

I pulled out a color I seldom use, Sahara Sand for the base and inner layer.
I paired this up with some Elegant Eggplant and Daffodil Delight flowers made with the Stampin Up Botanical Builder thinlits, I am loving these thinlits, you all know that flowers are my thing and these dies make some really pretty flowers and leaves.

The sentiment is a Lawn Fawn die.

Seize the Birthday.....Butterfly

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card using some of my new sneak peek goodies!

I am really loving this hostess set called Floral Wings, I have to admit I was a bit late jumping onto the bandwagon with the butterflies, but once I got my hands on those Butterflies Thinlits dies, it was all over.

This Floral Wing set is so pretty and I paired it with some new DSP this is from the Bohemian pack, The colors ......oh my!!!

I stamped the butterfly with some Rich Razzleberry ink onto whisper white and the flowers on the inside of the butterfly are made with the new in color Delightful Dijon and Old Olive for the leaves.
I fussy cut out the butterfly ad the die cut the Butterfly over the top using some vellum cardstock.

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry and both of the DSP's are from the Bohemian pack.

I added a bit of bling by using some of the glimmer paper.

The sentiment is from the Celebrate Today stamp set.

Birthday Boy

Happy Monday Peeps!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges the challenge is to make Birthday card and they added a twist, make it masculine.
Masculine cards are certainly not my forte but I wanted to give it a try. I thought about what to make and my little boat die came to mind. I could make a "little boy" birthday card.
This die is such fun it is made by "My Favorite Things"
All the DSP I used is from some retired packs, Sweet Slumber and Sweet Pea, I think.

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.
So cute huh?
I added a little red button with some twine to finish it up,
Whatcha think, I think it turned out pretty cute!

Happy Birthday Wishes

Hello Peeps and Happy Monday afternoon!

Yesterday I had a day off work and decided to play a bit at my stamp table.

I first looked at a couple of challenges to start my card, first up I used the Freshly Made Sketch for my layout:

I did change it up just a bit making my card a square instead of the rectangle shown in the sketch, but the rest of the elements are the same.

I then decided to make link to the Seize the Birthday challenge with my Birthday card.

I pulled out my "My Favorite Things" Lily Die to make my flowers.
I die cut two sets of the flowers using white card stock and then colored with my copic markers. I love these flowers and they are so fast and fun to color up with the markers.

I decide to go white on white with my card and use the flowers as my "pop" of color.
After getting it all laid out I decide to add a bit more color to the top and bottom of one of my layers, I like the look and it gave me just the thing I think it needed.

The sentiment on here is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I stamped with Black ink.
I finished up by adding three crystal rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today

FMS......Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at The Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Sweet Sketch!
I decided to pull out a much neglected set Stampin Up's Regarding Dahlia.
I stamped the image three times  onto some Pink Pirouette card stock using black stazon ink.
I then colored with my water brush and pink pirouette and strawberry slush ink. I cut the image out and layered it up. I then used my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the petals. I seriously love that pen the shimmer is amazing IRL, I could not capture it that well with my pics.

The base of the card is PTI white card stock and then a layer of Pink Pirouette and then more white. The DSP strip on here is from retired pack and then I used more Pink Pirouette to make the sentiment banner.
The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set and is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink.
The dots across the bottom come from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and I stamped with Pink Pirouette ink.

I added a small sequin star that is from the In Color Sequin Assortment.

Corner Garden Warmest Wishes

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a quick card I made yesterday using the Stampin Up Corner Garden Stamp.
This is actually just a portion of the stamp, I trimmed off the top portion to make my square card.

I stamped the image with Versmark ink onto Crumb Cake card stock. I then embossed using white embossing powder. I colored the image with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasibi inks.
I matted the image with Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The sentiment here comes from the Blooming with Kindness Stamp set.
I added a few basic rhinestones to the centers of a few flowers. Another simple and easily mailable card.
Adding this to the challenge this week at Seize the Birthday
