Color Challenge....Blessed Easter

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

This week is a Sweet Medley:

You could you pick 3 or more of the colors. I used Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Pool  and Summer Starfruit. Which I just now noticed is not pictured in the color graphic.

I decide to go Clean Simple with my card, I used the Blessed Easter single stamp from Stampin Up. I love those tulips. I stamped with black stazon and used my aqua painter to color. I used Summer Starfruit for the tulips, Pistachio Pudding for the leaves and added Pool Party around the flower.

The base is PTI white card stock and the DSP strip down the side is from the Sweet Sorbet paper pack. I added a strip of Basic Black down the edge of the main panel and rounded two corners with the Envelope Punch Board. I then mounted the main panel to the base with dimesionals I then added three small pearls under the sentiment and it is done.
Thanks for coming by and taking a look!

Easter Blessings

Happy Monday Peeps!

Yesterday I had some time to stamp and actually did!!! I was inspired by the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog. The colors this week are Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Pale Plum. I used those colors but added in some Old Olive for my leaves, so I am not linking this card over there, but I am loving the color combo!!

I knew that the Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum (which is a retired color) would make some pretty Spring tulips. So I pulled out my Stampin Up Blessed Easter stamp and masked off the attached sentiment and decide to use this beautiful Easter Blessings single stamp from last year I believe. It is another single stamp from Stampin Up.
I stamped the tulips with black stazon ink onto some PTI white card stock and then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.

I stamped the sentiment using Razzleberry ink and I colored the swirls with my Old Olive marker.
I added a few matching rhinesones and matted with Razzleberry and Plum card stock.

The base is Pale Plum followed by white and then a piece of Razzleberry that I embossed with a dot EF.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all you kind comments and e-mails.

Sweet Sunday.....Miss You Already

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

What I really miss is Spring!!!
So I decide to make a Springy type card! I pulled out this single stamp from Stampin' Up called "Blessed Easter" and used these tulips on my card. Tulips are a sure sign of Spring.
I used a combo of DSP  to acheive a Spring feel. The papers are from the Watercolor Wonder and Sweet Sorbet packs.

I colored the tulips using my aqua painter and ink pads, I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party inks.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today

FMS.......pssst....

Hello Peeps!!

Popping in here quickly to share a card I made using the sketch this week on the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Here is the fabulous sketch:

I love this single stamp from Stampin Up called "Blessed Easter", the tulips are so fun to color. I masked off the sentiment and then stamped the tulips three times, once being on scrap paper and colored with real red, daffodil delight and tangerine tango and I used garden green for the stems and leaves.

The DSP I paired my image with is the new Retro Fresh pack, I love the colors in this pack, it may be my favorite from the Occasions Mini.
The base of the card is Baked Brown Sugar card stock and then a layer of  tangerine tango and then the DSP. I made my center banner piece with tangerine and more DSP. I hand cut my banner as I haven't gotten the new dies yet, but they are on the way.
The image is cut with a circle die and then matted with a circle of Baked Brown Sugar card stock that I distressed up a bit.
The sentiment is from the "Happy Watercolor" stamp set and is so fun, it is like it is saying there is a secret over here, look inside! Maybe there is........will have to see about that!

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!!

Paper Players........Hello There!

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I have a very fun very Springy card to share with you!
I used the color challenge at The Paper Players this week for this card.

Gorgeous Spring Colors!
I am using a stamp that I am over the moon about. It is the "Blessed Easter" Single Stamp from Stampin Up. It is the new Occasions mini and I had so much fun coloring the tulips.
The stamp has a saying to the side of the tulips, I just masked that off with a post it note and stamped the tulips twice side by side and then another time on a scrap piece of card stock.  I used all of the challenge colors on the flowers and BG image. The tulip heads are colored with Primrose Petals and Crushed Curry and the leafs and stems are colored with the Pear Pizzazz. I then used the Coastal Cabana to outline around the flowers.

The tulips on the scrap piece was colored and then cut out and added to the round circle piece with dimesionals.
The sentiment is from the Timeless Talk stamp set. ( A set I have never inked, shame on me)
I used a base of white and then a layer of Coastal Cabana and then the two DSP's are from the Retro Fresh and the Fresh Prints paper packs. Interesting side note here, the lighter piece of DSP is from the Retro Fresh pack and the colors on the pack list Coastal Cabana as a coordinating color but this piece is much lighter, but it still matches. Anyway, just saying!
Hope you like it as much as I do, I am really enjoying the new flower sets. This one will no doubt be used alot here. I already have more tulips colored in some other colors so look for that to show up soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
