Thinking of You Sweet Friend

 Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made using the challenge this week at

This week is a great sketch challenge:

I pulled out my Honey Bee Stamp with matching dies for my card.
I used the awesome  Golden Honey DSP which is a free item with a $50 purchase from the SAB catalog.

My hive is stamped with Crushed Curry ink and the flower heads as well. The stem and leaves are stamped with Old Olive. I cut out the flower and added with dimensionals.

The three the little bees are fussy cut from some of the DSP.
I colored their body with Crushed Curry.

I finished up with a pretty bow made using the Crinkle Whisper White ribbon.

This Day is Yours

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card a made a few weeks back.

You all know I love the Beautiful Friendship set and Seaside Spray is my favorite color
of the new In Colors.

I had just got this beautiful Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon and I needed to use it right away.
This is the card I came up with.

I stamped the flowers using Seaside Spray,
Night of Navy and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves
onto thick Whisper White card stock.
I die cut it using one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies
and also a die cut using the Night of Navy card stock.
I layered it up and cut off the top point, just for something different.

This card is loaded with layers, I like it that way...lol!!

I started with a base of Seaside Spray, then a layer of Whisper White and
followed that with a piece of gingham DSP from the In Color 6 x 6 pack.

Then I embossed a piece of Whisper White using the Brick &Mortar EF.
I matted that with a piece of Night of Navy card stock.

I tied the pretty Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon around the middle layers before
adding it to the base card with dimensional.

The sentiment here comes from the Rare Blessings stamp set.
I stamped it using Night of Navy ink before adding it to the card with more dimensionals.

I finished with a few rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone pack.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

Thankful for friends like you

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I have another card to share using elements from the Paper Pumpkin for August and
the Gathered Leaves Dies from the upcoming Holiday catalog.

This card is very much like the one I shared yesterday using
the same layout and other elements.

The base of this one is Crumb Cake.
I added the precut banner piece from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
The White die cut piece is from the Stitched Labels dies, love this
pretty die, don't you?

I die cut a couple of leaves from the Gathered Leaves Dies, using Merry Merlot
and Gold Foil.
The Crumb Cake leaf spray is from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

The sentiment is tamped with Merry Merlot ink.
The die cut piece it is on is from the kit as well.

The twine the bow is made with and the gold sequins are from
the Paper Pumpkin kit as well!

Hello Fun Fold

Happy Thursday Peeps

Today's card share is a fun Double or maybe I should say Triple Fold Card.

Yesterday I saw a video on a really cute fun fold card and
thought I would give it a try.
I, of course, had to change it up some and I added my front to a regular top fold
card making mine a Triple Fun Fold.

I used Calypso Coral for my base and all the DSP on here is from the
Bird Ballad Designer Series pack.

On the front I used some flowers from the Free As A Bird stamp set along with
the Stitched Nested Label Dies that come in the bundle to make
my sentiment piece.
The "Hello" is stamped with Black Memento ink onto Whisper White card
stock and used the dies to cut it out along with the size up die using Pool Party card stock.

I colored the flowers with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz inks.

The next fold is made using Pool Party card stock and another
piece of the Bird Ballad Designer Paper.
I strategically cut my square to get the flowers and bird image I wanted.

Next up is the inside of the first two folds.
I stamped another sentiment from the Free As A Bird Set with
Black Memento ink and added a couple more flowers and leaves.

This is mounted to the Calypso Coral Top Fold Card base.

This is the inside of the card.

I added more DSP on the inside at the top and botom.
I hen decoraed he inside with a couple more flowers and leaves.

All the flowers got rhinestone centers and I also added a small white twine bow to the front.

I had fun making this one, may try another one soon.
How about you? You wan to make one?
Everything you need is listed below and
linked to my online store.
I would love to be your demonstrator,
let me know if you need anything.

Thanks so much!

Blessed to be your Friend

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Today's card share is done using a couple of challenges

First I used the sketch this week at

and the color challenge this week at

I really love these colors together,
I seldom reach for Sahara Sand,
but I am loving it here.
I did sneak in just a bit of green on my leaves.

I die cut a small rectangle with the stitched rectangle dies for my sentiment piece.
My sentiment comes from the To A Wild Rose stamp set and I used Black Memento Ink to stamp it onto the rectangle piece.
My flowers are from the Tea Together set.
I stamped with Versamark ink onto thick whisper white card stock and embossed with White embossing powder.
I colored the flowers with my Aqua Painter using Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay.

I die cut a stitched scallop piece with Bermuda Bay card stock and added it beneath the sentiment piece.
The flowers are die cut and added with dimensionals.

The base of the card is Sahara Sand followed by another piece of Sahara Sand that I embossed with
the Subtle EF.
I added tha piece to the base with dimensionals and then he sentimen piece is added with dimensionals as well.

I finished with a few litle sequins from the Gingham Gala Sequins pack.

Thanks so much for coming by today.

I Couldn't Have Picked A Better Friend

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Time for a new challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week it is all about Spring.

Nothing says Spring more than flowers, and you know I love making flowery cards.

I used the sketch this week at Fab Friday for my card.

I used the Pop of Petals stamp set for my flowers.
I stamped three of each color using Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo.
There is a matching punch with his set but after punching out a couple i ended up fussy cutting as the punch left to much of white around my flowers for the flowers I was creating.

I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink and cut them out as well.
My flowers are mounted to a piece of whisper white that I die cut with one of the stitched rectangle dies.
My sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I found a piece of the black and white gingham paper from the Butterfly gala pack in my scrap pile, I thought I had used it all. But after this card I only have a couple of tiny pieces left.

The flowers and the Sentiment piece are both added to the card with dimensionals.

I used a piece of Melon Mambo card stock for my banner piece. I die cut a piece of whisper white with a edge die from the Be Mine Stitched Dies to layer behind the Melon Mambo banner.

I fussy cut out a pretty little butterfly from the Butterfly Gala DSP and added it just under the flowers.

Be sure and head over to the SUO Challenges Blog, we would
love to have you join us.

Thanks for coming by today.

Glad We're Friends

Happy Easter Sunday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a couple of challenges.

First up is the sketch this week at

and the challenge at Just Add Ink:

I pulled out the Fable Friends set and the Daisy Punch for my flower.

This was a quick and simple card, once I figured out what I wanted to do.

The base is thick Whisper White and then another piece of whisper white embossed with the Subtle EF.

I added a strip of Highland Heather Gingham from the Gingham Gala paper pack.

I punched a couple of Daises and glued together. I die cut a circle of yellow gingham for my Daisy center.
I stamped the Bunny with Black stazon and colored with a bit of Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo.
I fussy cut out and added it to the flower with dimensionals, the flower was then added to the base with dimensionals.
I stamped and added the sentiment next.

I finished up with a few little rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a blessed Easter.

Vicki

Hello Friend

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today's card share features the sketch this week at

I really love the You're Inspiring set and I used it to try and duplicate one of the
daffodils in my yard.

I love the white with just a hint of yellow and green.

Really hard to capture the beauty of it and
of course,  my card doesn't really come close either.

But I kept it light and just added a hint of daffodil delight and a touch of pear pizzazz.
The leaves and stems are colored with Pear Pizzazz as well.

I used Soft Sky to add some blue around the flowers.

The DSP I used comes from the Needlepoint Nook pack.
I added a scallop die strip using some So Saffron card stock.
I used some white twine pulled from the Flax ribbon to wrap around a tie a bow.

I used the Well Written framelits and matching stamps for my Hello Friend sentiment.

I finished with a few sticky sequins.

Thanks for coming by.

Friends

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Sorry for the late post, I had this scheduled to go live this morning and for some
reason it failed to do so, could be operator error or maybe just blogger being fussy!!

Over at Addicted to CAS, the code word is Friends

and at Just us Girls Challenge  they are looking for Pastels

This card would had been one layer but I dropped my water brush while coloring and go a blob of color on the top of card.

So I ended up cutting it down and adding a layer.

I am using the Lovely Lattice stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.

It IS lovely for sure!

I colored using my water brush and  Flirty Flamingo ink.
I didn't get the depth I wanted with just the single color this time and ended up going back in with some Lovely Lipstick to darken a bit
The leaves are colored with Pear Pizzazz ink.

I used a bit of Pool Party to color the background a little.

The sentiment comes from a set from last year's Sale-A-Bration called Happy Wishes.

I finished with just a few rhinestones in the flower centers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Special Reason........Friend Like You

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend using a fun new set I received at OnStage.

This set is called Special Reason and will be available in January from the new Occasions mini.
I could not believe my luck in winning this set during one of the Prize Patrols, it is right up my alley, cos you know I love a pretty flower set.

I took some inspiration for this card from the sample in the upcoming Occasions mini.
I started wth a base of Crumb Cake and then a layer of So Saffron that I embossed .

Also I used some other fun little embellishments I got at OnStage, the flower centers.
Aren't they soooo pretty?

Hope you enjoy this little sneak peek.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches.....dear friend

Happy Friday peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I love a square card and I haven't made one in awhile so I was glad to see this one here this week.

I loved this Baby Bear stamp set from Stampin Up the moment I saw it in the new catalog and I finally got my hands on it.
I have to say it was a bit challenging to stamp this little guy, he is a 3-step stamp and, even using my mini MISTI, I must have stamped him a dozen times and I still am not thrilled with my bear. It is a definite learning curve to get this one just right. He is so cute I will keep at it til I figure it out tho. :)

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossom stamp set and I think it is very appropriate, a sweet old teddy can be like a dear friend.
The bow is part of the set and is a 2-stamp image.
The little Coral loopies are a die from the Cupcake die set.

I have the perfect "dear friend" for this card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday......friends

Happy Sunday peeps!!!

Here is the sweet sketch we have for you this week;

I love a square card!
I am sharing another sunflower card, see yesterdays post if you missed my other one this week.

I started with a base of White card stock and then I used a layer of Early Espresso and the DSP on here is from the Neutrals Designer pack.

I made my Sunflower by first making a Rosette using my Score Board.
I then added  piece of sandable Early Espresso cardstock for my center.

The leaves are die cut with the Flower Flair framelits and then trimmed a bit. I then ran them through the Big Shot using my Woodgrain EF.

The Sentiment is from the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

I made my little sunflowers with a punch from itty bitty punch set.

Be sure and hop over to the Sweet Sunday Blog to see what the rest of the girls did with this fun sketch.
