SUO....thanks

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Time for a new challenge over at SUO Challenges.

This time we have a great sketch.

I decided to use he pretty Inspiring Iris again and one of my
favorite colors, Highland Heather.

I stamped the image using Highland Heather and Pear Pizzaz.

My sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with
Black Memento ink.

I used three different embossing folders for my
background strips. I used the  Tufted, Basket  Weave and he Country Floral
embossing folders.

My card is a 4-1/2 inch square. The base is Highland Heather and
then a layer of whisper white followed by
my embossed strips.

I finished it with a white twine bow and a few basic rhinestones.

Have I convinced you that you NEED this set yet? LOL!

Thanks for coming by!

SUO...Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps!!

It is Tuesday which means another challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week is all about Dies and Die Cuts.

My card is loaded with Die Cuts.
I used the super nice Rectangle Stitched Dies
along with dies that cut out my flowers and stems and the
Stitched Nested Label dies for my sentiment.

I used he Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and stamped my flowers
with Lovely Lipstick ink.
My stems are die cut with Old Olive card stock.

I really liked how this card came out so much I made a couple
more using different colors and sentiments, I will show you those later this week.
It is simple and straightforward and easy enough to
mass produce if needed.

I finished the card with a few basic pearls and a small lovely lipstick bow.

I hope you can join us this week and show off some of you dies with us.

Thanks for stopping by today.

SUO...Life's a Journey

Hello Peeps!!

It is Tuesday which means another challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week is a Masculine Theme Challenge.

I am using the One Wild Ride stamp set for my Masculine themed card.
Masculine is definitely hard for me, you all know I am a floral girl.
But I gave it whirl.

I used one of the new Stitched Nested Label Dies for my
motorcycle image.
I stamped with Black Memento Ink onto the Whisper White
die cut piece.

The base of my card is Smokey Slate card stock.
I then embossed a piece of the Galvanized Metallic Paper and the
Corrugated EF.
The DSP on here is all from the Classic Garage pack.
I stamped the  sentiment piece directly onto the orange piece of DSP and cut out.
I used some jute twine wrapped behind the motorcycle piece and the
sentiment piece.

Both pieces are added to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you can join us this week and create a Masculine card to share.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I Couldn't Have Picked A Better Friend

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Time for a new challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week it is all about Spring.

Nothing says Spring more than flowers, and you know I love making flowery cards.

I used the sketch this week at Fab Friday for my card.

I used the Pop of Petals stamp set for my flowers.
I stamped three of each color using Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo.
There is a matching punch with his set but after punching out a couple i ended up fussy cutting as the punch left to much of white around my flowers for the flowers I was creating.

I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink and cut them out as well.
My flowers are mounted to a piece of whisper white that I die cut with one of the stitched rectangle dies.
My sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I found a piece of the black and white gingham paper from the Butterfly gala pack in my scrap pile, I thought I had used it all. But after this card I only have a couple of tiny pieces left.

The flowers and the Sentiment piece are both added to the card with dimensionals.

I used a piece of Melon Mambo card stock for my banner piece. I die cut a piece of whisper white with a edge die from the Be Mine Stitched Dies to layer behind the Melon Mambo banner.

I fussy cut out a pretty little butterfly from the Butterfly Gala DSP and added it just under the flowers.

Be sure and head over to the SUO Challenges Blog, we would
love to have you join us.

Thanks for coming by today.

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Time for a new challenge over at SUO Challenges Blog.

The challenge is CELEBRATIONS
Any thing you want to celebrate is great!

I recently picked up the Painted Harvest set and while it is probably more a fall set I decided to use it anyway.
I stamped my flower with Mariana Mist and Night of Navy.
Isn't it pretty in blue?
I stamped the leaf with Old Olive.

The base of my card is Night of Navy card stock.
I then embossed a piece of Whisper White using the Corrugated EF.

The DSP is from the Needlepoint Nook pack.
I die cut my image peice with a die from the Rectangle dies, then ran it back through
cutting off one end to make it square.

I finished my card with a few little basic rhinestones and white twine wrap with a bow.
I pulled apart a piece of the  Flax ribbon to make the twine.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us, we would love to see your Celebration cards.

SUO...Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

It is time for a new challenge at SUO Challenges.

This week is especially fun  because is is

DESIGNER'S CHOICE!

Make whatever you like, just keep it Stampin' Up only!

I chose to use the You're Inspiring stamp set.
I first created my blue water colored background using Pacific Point ink.
I then die cut with the rectangle stitched dies my frame with thick Whisper White card stock.

I then colored my flowers, I stamped with black stazon onto thick whisper white and colored with
Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I used Pear Pizza for the leaves.
I then fussy cut them out.
I used my exacto knife to get into a few areas. I wanted my BG to show through all the areas
around the leaves, so a lot of effort went into cutting out those areas.

I then added the flowers to my piece with dimensionals.
I die cut my sentiments using the Well Written and Well Said sets.
I used a piece of Velum to mount the sentiments.

I debated on my base a bit but finally went with So Saffron to mount it all on.
I finished with a few sticky rhinestones.

SUO....Birthday Balloons

 Hello Peeps!

It is Tuesday so you know what that means....
a new challenge at  SUO Challenges!

This week's challenge is Coloring!

OK, you all know that is one of my favorite things to do.
I just got this fun Hostess set called Hand Delivered and
thought the balloons in the set would be great for my challenge card.
I stamped the top balloon part twice and the bottom piece once.
I stamped with black stazon onto some watercolor paper.

I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pacific Point for my balloons.
The two front balloons were colored and added with dimensionals over the the bottom balloons.

I fussed with this card for a LONG time.
I just couldn't find a layout or DSP I like when putting it together.

I finally just decided to go simple with my background and I do like the end results.

The sentiment comes from the same set and I stamped and cut it out by hand.
I added a piece of red card stock cut the same way under the edge.

I finished the card with a few little sequin flowers
from the Gingham Gala Sequin pack and a few small rhinestones.

Be sure and head over to the SUO Challenge Blog
we would love for you to play along.

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Today I am excited to announce that I have joined the SUO Challenges  design team.

Our very first challenge this year is  "Anything Winter".

I pulled out this adorable snowman, he is my favorite in the set, from the Spirited Snowman set.
I do believe he retired with the Holiday Catalog.

I stamped the sentiment using black memento ink.

I matted this piece with some Pool Party card stock.

The base of my card is more thick whisper white.

I then embossed a piece of Night of Navy card stock with my Corrugated EF and added it to the base.

The main image panel is then added to the card with some dimensionals.

I added a few little rhinestones to finish it up.

SUO Challenge.......Time to Deck the Halls

Hello Peeps!!

The SU Only Challenge this week is Celebrations of All Kinds.

What better Celebration  than Christmas and all that goes with it?

I love this little Merry Mice set and so I used it again for this challenge card.

I stamped this little trio onto some thick whisper white card stock and colored with my markers.

I used Soft sky for the base and added
a bit of silver glimmer paper around the image panel.

I used some burlap ribbon across the card and half of a paper doily to fancy it up a bit.

Thanks for stopping by today!
