Thinking of You

Hello Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made last year  for the the June Paper Crafters Sampler
This one of my favorite creations from my term on the design team.

The theme for that month was "Penned Post" and I remember having such a hard time deciding what to do for that theme. One of the things Melanie had suggested was the "faux postage technique" and that was the inspiration for this card.
I used the Stampin Up set called "kindness Matters". I had such a fun time making the 'faux stamps" and coloring those butterflies.

If you want to know more about how I created this card you can still get a copy of the issue this was created for right HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

PCS High Tea Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Crafters Sampler “High Tea” blog hop featuring our 3D teapot template from the March issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler entitled, “Orange Blossom Tearoom”.

Did you just arrive here from Lisa's Blog? Wasn't her take on this template wonderful? I just love her style.
Don't worry if you just started the hop it runs in a full circle so you won't miss anything

With the current trend of tea images in the paper crafting world, it only seemed appropriate to offer a tea-related template, and that is our newest “High Tea” 3D, teapot.
Now-a-days, teapots come in so many sizes and shapes, it was easy to find one for some inspiration. Here is mine:

I printed the template out on Crumb Cake card stock and then cut out the pieces. I embossed all of the pieces with the perfect dots EF using my Big Shot. I used the Tasteful Trim die for the scallop and rick rack around the base.
The flowers are made using my 3/4 inch and 1/4 inch circle punch using real red and daffodil delight card stock. I stacked these circles together and added a gold brad to the center. I used old olive card stock to make the stems and leaves. the leaves are punched with the Build a Blossom punch. I added a small heart at the top, it comes from the Heart to Heart punch.

As a Thank You for veiwing, each design team member will be selecting a random winner to receive a free issue of the March 2012 "Orange Blossom Tearoom" issue.

To enter the drawing, simply leave me a comment on this post from now until Friday after viewing the teapot.  Increase your chance of winning by leaving a comment on each design team members blog.  Winning viewers will be announced and will receive their March issue link Saturday, March 31st.

Now feel free to go back and take another peek at Lisa's tea pot or hop on over to Tiffany's Blog to see her creative take on this fun template.

Have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING!!

PCS Creative Take~Bentley Bunny

Happy Friday Peeps,
I am back again with another Creative Take on a template from the current issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler. Bentley Bunny is available in the February 2012 Easter Blessings
This bunny is so sweet and charming I just love the look of of him made onto DSP. I used some retired paper from the "Delicate Dots" paper pack.I printed the template out on paper and put it together.
I decided to keep him simple with just a bow of white satin ribbon and pearl for the eye.
I did make a yarn pom-pom for his tail.

He would be cute filled with some flowers for a table or buffet centerpiece or stuff with some candy for a friend or neighbor!
Check out the Easter Blessings sampler for this template and several other Easter ideas!
Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

PCS Creative Take~Limoge Box

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing  my creative take
on a project offered in a past issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler.
The "Limoge Box" template
was featured in the December 2011 issue Adorned Holidays.

I decided to make a "pot of  gold" Limoge box for St. Patty's Day.
I printed the template out onto my wild wasabi card stock and I also printed it onto plain copy paper to use for a template for the mat pieces.
I used some Stampin Up Brushed cold card stock that I embossed with the Vintage Wall Embossing Folder.

I added alot of gold brads all around and used some retired wild wasabi ribbon for the bow and top loop.

I used my Scallop Trim Punch to add a bit more interest around the opening of the box.
I filled the box with some gold wrapped Hershey Kisses, it holds alot!
The Adorned Holiday is a awesome edition of the sampler, it is packed full of great projects for the holidays but also has items that can be used for other special occasions as well and it is on sale right now so hop on over and check it out! I have another project using another template from this same issue I will be showing you next week. You are gonna love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!

PCS Creative Take~Sweetly Dispensed

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!
Today I am sharing  my creative take on a project offered in a past issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler.
The "Sweetly Dispensed" template was featured in the January 20012 issue Expression of Affection.
This is a really fun template to work with and could be used for any holiday or celebration you like. I chose to make this on for Easter. I used Calypso Coral to print my template onto and then used some DSP from the Everyday Enchantment paper pack.
I used the scallop edgelit along the top and bottom edges.
I think that the stripped  DSP and scallop edge makes my box have the look of a store with an awning. Too cute!

I used the stamp set "Everybunny" for the cute little bunny image and sentiment.
Be sure and check out the Expressions of Affection Issue to get this template!
Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Paper Crafters Sampler Blog Hop

Hello Peeps and Welcome to the Paper Crafters Sampler  "Adorned Holiday" mini blog hop.
The hop features a Creative Take on the three holiday templates available in the December issue of the Sampler; Winter Sleigh, Sled and Limoge Trinket Box.

You’re free to start viewing the hop at my blog, it will go full circle so no worries about missing anything.
If you arrived here from Lisa's Blog, didn't you love her take on these templates? I LOVE how versatile they are and how we can all start with the same template and get so many great looks.

Here is what I did with them.
First up is the Sled, gift card holder. If you noticed, in my group shot, I made mine all in the same color scheme. I like how they look all grouped together. :) I used Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red card stock. I made the poinsettia with the Build a Blossom Punch, using the smallest leaf on the punch. The sentiment comes from the "Four Christmas" stamp set. My picture doesn't show it but the sled sits on a small box perfect for a gift card, cash, keys to an brand new car, or whatever you would like to slip inside.

Next up is the "Limoge" Trinket Box. I printed the template onto Riding Hood Red card stock. The DSP I used is from the "Letters to Santa" paper pack. I printed an extra template onto some plain white card stock and cut it apart to use for the template for the DSP.  I added old olive grosgrain ribbon, silver brads and made a little top "knob"  with three stacked buttons. I added a "very merry" sentiment from the "Short & Sweet" stamp set.  The box is very sweet and the lid is hinged which is very cool and the size is perfect for a few chocolate kisses.

Lastly is my favorite of the three templates, the "Winter Sleigh". This template comes together so quickly you could make alot of these in no time. I again printed onto Riding Hood Red card stock and onto some white card stock to cut apart for the DSP.
I made some 'holly leaves"  using my oval and slit punches and added three red berries to the top. I add some crystal effects to the berries. I used some riding hood red taffeta ribbon to make the bow. The sentiment on here also comes from the Stampin Up set "Four the Holidays" I made some tiny present boxes to go inside the sleigh.

Well, that is all from me so let's continue this hop over on Heidi's Blog, I know she has more fabulous ideas with these templates to share.

Thanks for coming by and remember these templates are available in The Paper Crafters Adorned Holiday Edition.

Paper Crafters Sampler--Easter Bonnet

Hello Peeps!!!

Toady I am sharing an Easter Bonnet I made from a template that was in the Paper Crafters Sampler in February of 2010. This template is available to purchase at a discount now with an instant download. Check out the Paper Crafter's Sampler Library for this and many more templates. Be sure to use code PCSVB if you decide to purchase this sampler. Over the next few weeks I will be showing you a few more of the templates that are still available.

This Easter Bonnet template is easy to use, just print it out on the card stock of your choice, cut put together and decorate.

I decide to make my Easter Bonnet to look like a straw hat, like the one my Grandma wore when she worked in her garden, well sort of. I used Crumb Cake card stock for my hat and embossed with the square lattice EF. I decorated with some daffodil delight satin ribbon and then made a nest for my blue bird. I used some Spanish moss, a few leaves and some curly strips to make the nest. The bird was punched with some bashful blue card stock and embossed with withe embossing powder. The stamp is from the Easter Blossoms stamp set.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Happy Easter Cart

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Isn't this little cart the cutest thing ever? It was designed by the fabulous
Heather Klump and was featured in the February issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler. I had the urge yesterday to make myself one. I did change it just a bit, made mine a bit smaller. Heather's pattern is so easy to follow and came together very quickly. Gotta LOVE that.

I also used an idea from fellow DT member Rosemarie Diehl from the same sampler for the eggs decorating my cart. She had made some similar and used on a card and I wanted to try those too! Of course, mine are a bit different too. I used some oval nesties to cut out the "eggs" and decorated them with some strips cut from the tasteful trim die and pretty basic pearls. I added a sentiment flag, "Happy Easter" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I stuffed mine with some paper grass and added some Cadbury Creme Eggs, my DD's favorite Easter candy. This cart is so versatile, not just for Easter, I can see it decorated for fall with some pumpkins, and for Christmas with poinsettias or ornaments......oh the possibilities!

Check out the Sampler, you will love the projects in there, if you purchase it be sure and use my code: PCSVB. Thanks so much!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!
