TLC322....thinking of you

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Splitcoast Technique Lovers Challenge . This week the challenge is to stamp in the die.  All you have to do is stamp your image using a background stamp or any other large image that will cover the whole die so the unstamped edge under the die creates the frame. ....easy peasy!!!

My base is a 5 inch by 10 inch piece of Blushing Bride card stock, folded in half. I followed that up with some crumb cake and then the DSP is from the Paisley Patterns paper pack. I then put this layer through my big shot using an extra large EF. The main image piece was easy, I used a round nestabilities and very vanilla card stock. I left the die in place and stamped my french script BG stamp onto the card stock, while the die was still in place i sponged around the edges with crumb cake ink. I stamped the flower branch from the Easter Blossom stamp set with timber brown stazon ink . I then used my aqua painter to color in the flowers with some blushing bride ink. I matted this piece with a scallop circle of crumb cake card stock. I used some crumb cake and very vanilla seam binding ribbon to make my bow.

I added the small layered butterflies in the top of the circle to cover a smudge. I then added the sentiment piece and an antique brad. I put two small basic pearls in the center of the butterfly and in the upper right corner.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Paper Crafters Sampler--Easter Bonnet

Hello Peeps!!!

Toady I am sharing an Easter Bonnet I made from a template that was in the Paper Crafters Sampler in February of 2010. This template is available to purchase at a discount now with an instant download. Check out the Paper Crafter's Sampler Library for this and many more templates. Be sure to use code PCSVB if you decide to purchase this sampler. Over the next few weeks I will be showing you a few more of the templates that are still available.

This Easter Bonnet template is easy to use, just print it out on the card stock of your choice, cut put together and decorate.

I decide to make my Easter Bonnet to look like a straw hat, like the one my Grandma wore when she worked in her garden, well sort of. I used Crumb Cake card stock for my hat and embossed with the square lattice EF. I decorated with some daffodil delight satin ribbon and then made a nest for my blue bird. I used some Spanish moss, a few leaves and some curly strips to make the nest. The bird was punched with some bashful blue card stock and embossed with withe embossing powder. The stamp is from the Easter Blossoms stamp set.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Paper Players.....Happy Easter

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!!

Today's card share is one I made with the Clean & Simple Sketch challenge this week on the Paper Players Blog I started this card with a base of white card stock. I then used a layer of baja breeze that I embossed with the framed tulips EF. The main image panel is made up of pear pizzazz and whisper white card stock.

The Easter Eggs are from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. I stamped with versamark onto daffodil delight, baja breeze and pretty in pink card stock. I embossed with white embossing powder. I cut out the eggs and added them to the main panel with some dimensionals. I added some pretty in pink satin ribbon and the sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used the word window punch to punch out and then feed it back into the punch on one side to shorten it. I added it to the ribbon with some sticky tape.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC105......Vintage Easter

GOOD MORNING PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started my card with a base of Crumb Cake card stock, I then followed that with some always artichoke card stock and the designer paper on here is from the Springtime Vintage paper pack. My image comes from the Stampin Up Easter Blossoms stamp set. I stamped the girl image onto very vanilla card stock with Crumb cake ink. I colored in the eggs in her basket very lightly with some baja breeze ink and my aqua painter. I matted the image with a scallop circle cut from always artichoke card stock. I added tiny little pearls around the scallop. I used some baja breeze seam binding ribbon and Victoria crochet trim to wrap around and tie a bow. I then added three pearls on the upper left corner. I thought my card needed a sentiment and frankly I have a very hard time making a card without one but left this one without a sentiment for a whole day. When I went to photograph the card I just had to try and add one. I stamped the Happy Easter which is from teeny tiny wishes and punched it out with the jewelry tag punch, I offset a mat on these with another jewelry punch in artichoke card stock. I did cut off the top of the tag on the punched pieces.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Color Challenge.....With Sympathy

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The colors to use was River Rock, Basic Black and Whisper White.

My card is a 5 inch square. I used river rock for the base and then a layer of basic gray. I followed that with whisper white and then another layer of river rock. I used the extra large dot embossing folder on the river rock layer. I layered strips of basic gray and river rock across the bottom. I used a MS border punch along the edges of these strips. I stamped the blossom stamp from Easter Blossoms onto some whisper white card stock with basic gray ink. I colored the blossoms in with some river rock ink and my aqua painter. I added a few small pearls to the centers of some of the flowers. I cut this out with my circle nesties and matted with a basic gray scallop circle. I added some whisper white satin ribbon across the bottom and some pearls to each corner.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Stamp Set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
