Thank You....for challenges

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card share is one I made with a few challenges in mind. I love sketch challenges and I used the Fall to Layout 105 on the Clean & Simple Blog for this card.

I also used the Curtain Call Color Challenge for the colors.

And I am also including the Anything Goes Challenge on the Paper Players Blog

My card is started with a base of crumb cake card stock and I followed that with a piece of Concord Crush, BTW I LOVE that color, and then I followed that up with my whisper white. I stamped the flower stem from the "For All You Do" stamp set with Pear Pizzazz ink. I then stamped on a scrap piece of white the flowers in concord and pear and cut them out and mounted them to the white with some foam tape. I wish I could pick my flower up and move it to the right just a bit because it seems just slightly off center, but I really didn't want to re-do so I shouldn't have even mentioned it but didn't want those of you who noticed this to think I was un-aware...LOL!!!

I stamped the butterfly with pear pizzazz ink and cut out and added to the card with some more foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with concord crush ink onto the pear pizzazz card stock and punched it out with my word window punch. I added some silver pearls to the butterfly center, the flower centers and the sentiment. I used some more concord crush and a MS edge punch for the side piece and finished it off with some white satin ribbon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC83.......Thankful Thoughts

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This week we're going to start a series of sketches drawn by Nancy McKinney,(you know, THE Nancy McKinney - TE illustrator extraordinaire), and she will be playing along with us too!! Here is the first one:

I started my card with a base of always artichoke and I followed that with some very vanilla card stock. I then used some of the fun wood sheets that I sponged with some chocolate chip ink. The scallop is made with my nesties in always artichoke and the middle with very vanilla. I stamped the sentiment from the Grateful Greetings set with artichoke ink. I cut three leaves from the leaves #2 die, one in tangerine, more mustard and artichoke. I used the square lattice embossing folder on them and sponged them with the same color ink. I used buttons for the strip across the card, I attached them with a needle and some ecru crochet thread. I used a button on the more mustard leaf as well. I added antique brads in each corner.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Happy Halloween

TGIF Peeps!!!

I have a fun little Halloween card to share with you today! This is a non challenge card, just one i made for fun! You know I love Halloween and I was playing around with some pumpkin face stamps I got from Peachy Keen. I had saw this face stamps on Kim Score's blog Paper Punch Addiction. I had to have them!!!

I made my background by starting with a so saffron piece of card stock. I sponges with pumpkin pie, tangerine and dusty durango for the sky, I used old olive on the bottom. I made the rickety fence with strips of chocolate chip card stock and then added some brads at the intersection of the fence pieces. The pumpkins are made from 1-3/8 inch and 3/4 inch circle punches. The spider comes from the retired, but much loved Autumn Apparitions stamp set, I seriously love this set and will never part with it!!! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

FTL104.....Miss You Already

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with the Fall to Layout #104 on the Clean & Simple Blog.

I am not sure I worked it all out to match the sketch but I was determined to use this beautiful black eye Susan from the SU "Inspired from Nature" stamp set. I stamped the flowers with some chalk ink onto my white card stock. I layered that onto some Early Espresso card stock. I used my MS daisy chain punch and some summer sun 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment comes from the retired "Really Retro" stamp set and is stamped with Early Espresso ink. I used my stamp a ma jig and it is still a bit crooked, the ribbon had already been added so it was hard to hold the stamp a ma jig handle in place. To finish I added another strip of early espresso that I had embossed with an EF.

I do love this flower image! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call....Absolutely Fabulous

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!! Hope your week has started out well!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge on Stacey's Stamping Stage

This weeks colors are Tempting Turquoise, daffodil delight, poppy parade and whisper white. I don't know who was the first to make these cute little purses from the tab punch, they have been around awhile. I had never made them before but when I saw the color challenge I thought it would be good time to try. I used some DS paper from the Greenhouse Gala pack, the daffodil delight, some DS paper from the Island Oasis pack, the tempting turquoise and I don't have any DS paper in Poppy Parade so I used some card stock and used the square lattice EF. The handles are made with the oval punches and the front flap is made with the small oval punch. I added some sticky pearls to the front. The sentiment is from the retired "Absolutely Fabulous" stamp set. I added some piercing along the bottom and matted with Poppy parade. I punched a border with daffodil delight and added that to the bottom.

The back is embossed with my polka dot EF. I used more DS paper in tempting turquoise in the middle.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Halloween Bag

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! How was your weekend? Ours was good, good but still HOT!! I am ready for some cooler weather how about you?

Today I have a fun little box/bag to share with you. I made this bag along with my BFF Angie Kennedy Juda, she did a live Ustream broadcast on Saturday at noon, I missed the live broadcast but you can replay the video, there is a link to it on her blog. I really don't know her, so she is just my pretend BFF, but I know if I knew her she would really be my BFF!!!! LOL!!!

The bag is so much fun, you do NO cutting on this baby!!! just scoring and folding!! You don't even have to use any adhesive if you don't want, I did, of course because I am just anal that way!! I changed my up just a bit from hers, I used pumpkin pie card stock and the DS paper is from a retired Halloween pack. The little witch on the front is from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. She is stamped with black stazon ink onto shimmer white card stock. I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I had originally stamped the greeting directly under the little witch on the shimmer card stock, but messed it up so decided to cover it up by stamping onto a separate piece and using my word window and modern label punches. The main image is matted with basic black and added to the bag with some foam tape.

I used the oval punch to add a "handle" to my bag. Now if you do this be sure to punch this before glue together, because you need to punch through three layers of card stock and you know that isn't possible, ask me how I know!!! LOL!!! I already really knew that but I had to try right? I added some black striped ribbon to the top!! So stinkin' cute huh?

Pic from the back:

You can purchase all the supplies to make this box, minus the retired paper, from me, just shoot me an e-mail or if you would like to purchase a kit, with everything to make one or more, let me know!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC82.......Happy Birthday

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Again this week I have kept my sample Clean & Simple. The base of the card is real red and the DS paper is from the fun new Play Date paper pack. The cupcake is made with the Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits die. I cut two of each part one with card stock and one with the DS paper and then glued together, to give the cupcake more weight and then I sanded the edges a bit with my sanding block.

the sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is stamped with black stazon. I added a bunch of bling to the cupcake and to the card base.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.
