Merry Monday...Seasons Greetings

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Time for a new Merry Monday Cahllenge!

This week is a fun color challenge:

These colors say "Snowman" to me, so I pulled out my Stampin Up "Snow Much  Fun" Stamp set
I stamped the snowman onto some white card stock and colored him with my aqua painter and ink pads, using the three colors.

The base of the card is basic gray and then I used another layer of gray that I embossed with a snowflake EF.
I added a piece of retired DSP across the bottom and added some white satin ribbon with a pumpkin pie button.
I used my new oval framelits to die cut the snowman out and added some scallops around him usinf the Marina Mist.
The greeting comes from the Four the Holidays stamp set. I finished the card off with a few silver pearls.
Be sure and head over to Lesley's Blog-Always Playing with Paper to see what the rest of the Merry makers did with this color challenge, I am sure you will be inspired to play along!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Merry Monday Sketch

Happy Monday Peeps!

It is time for another Merry Monday Challenge from Lesley over at Always playing with Paper.

Here is the fun sketch she has for us this week:

I loved working with this sketch!
I pulled out a fun Holiday set from Stampin Up called  "Snow Much Fun".
I stamped one of the snowmen from this set onto some confetti cream card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.

The base of the card is Cherry cobbler card stock and then I followed that up with more Confetti card stock. The DSP on here is from the new "Be of Good Cheer" paper pack.

I used one of the new in colors Gumball Green, dontcha love that gumball green ribbon?
the sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set
Now head on over to Lesley's Blog to see what the Merry Monday Makers did with this sketch!
Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Very Merry

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

When I was making my card sample last week for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, I whipped up this little cutie using the sketch. I have been making a few Christmas card lately and I knew that the long panel on the sketch would be perfect for this tall fellow from the Stampin Up "Snow Much Fun"!
Isn't he the cutest snowman?
I also used some of the new Stampin Up DSP, this is from the "Be of Good Cheer"!
I love this fun new paper!
The base of my square card is Cherry Cobbler card stock, I followed that with some Confetti Cream card stock and then of course the DSP.
I stamped the tall snowman onto some more Confetti Cream card stock and colored him with my aqua painter and ink pads.
The sentiment on here is from the retired "Short & Sweet" stamp set.
You see that green flag piece sticking out? It is one of the new in colors called "Gumball Green". I embossed that with the square lattice EF, of course!
The snow flakes at the bottom are from the retired Northern Flurries die strip.
The little snowflakes at the top right are from a tiny non SU punch.
I added a few rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes.
I hope you like it, I think it turned out super cute.

I am waiting patiently for my new goodies to arrive. A few more days!
I have to confess and please don't shoot me, I was less that impressed wtih the new catalog, don't get me wrong, there is still so much I want, but there was not alot of my style stamps in the catalog, so I am hanging my hopes on some things I will just LOVE in the Holiday mini. Haven't received that yet, we demos can preorder from it in July so I am looking forward.
Well, that it all from me today, I am heading to my stamp table to work on some cards I need to get done.
I hope you have some stamping time today!
Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

OCC...Holiday Color Combo Challenge

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.
This week our hostess is the fabulous Anne Marie Hile and her challenge for us is a Holiday Color Combo Challenge:

Light Blue, Light Pink, Red and White and it has to have some SPARKLE!

I decide to use some Pool Party Card stock for my light blue. I also wanted to use the Snow men in the Stampin Up "Snow Much Fun" stamp set. I love both of these guys and my only problem is when I use them together I end up with a larger than normal card. This one is a 5 x 5-1/2 inches. But that's OK, this card will be hand delivered, so no extra postage required.
The snowmen are stamped with black stazon onto some white card stock and I used my aqua painter and ink pads to color. I matted the main image with pool party and pretty in pink. I then used two peices of a top not die cut in real red at the top and bottom of the panel.

I used some of the Stampin Up Silver Glimmer paper to make my 'snowy' hills that the snow men are standing on.

I used some dazzling details on the snowmen and the snowman's snowball, but it is not showing in the picture.
The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped onto the white card stock and punched out with the modern label punch and then I used another punch  in pretty in pink to mat it. I added two little pearls to the sentiment piece.
I  then added some real red satin ribbon and tied a bow.
The base of the card is embossed with a  non SU embossing folder.
I made this card into a gift card holder by adding a piece of card stock to the decorated inside sealed on three sides to create the holder for the gift card.

SSSC145......Merry Christmas Snowman

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

I had made a card for a friend earlier this week with these papers and they were still out on my desk so how about a non traditional colored Christmas card?
I do love the colors in this paper pack the Stampin Up Cheerful Treat DSP.
I started the card with a base of Concord Crush card stock and then the next layer is some retired (but I still LOVE and have hoarded a bunch) pale plum card stock. I embossed this with the Snow Burst EF. The bottom part of the card is some of the above mentioned DSP. I used some concord crush ribbon for the strips in the sketch.

The snowman is from the Snow Much Fun stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto the white card stock and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Lucky Limeade and Concord Crush ink and a bit of crumb cake and pumpkin pie. I added the "snow" using the silver glimmer paper from Stampin UP. The snowflakes are die cut with the Northern Frost die strip and I added some basic pearls to the centers. The sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I added a bit more sparkle on the snowman and is snow ball (he he) with some dazzling details.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Well, thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Very Merry Tag

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a fun little gift tag I made using the super cute Stampin Up set called "Snow Much Fun. I do love this long tall snowman!!
During the holidays I give some friends and neighbors goodie baskets full of homemade treats and I like to attach a homemade gift tag. Generally I am scrambling at the last moments trying to get these made, but this year I am trying to get a few things done earlier so as to aleve a bit of last minute holiday stress.
Awhile back I made a card using this set and these colors, you can see it HERE, and I loved the colors so when I thought about my tag, this card immedietly came to mind. I added some DSP from the Domestic Goddess paper pack. I stamped the snowman onto white card stock and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I found some buttons in my stash that matched my Pool Party card perfectly. I cut a snowflake with the Northern Frost Sizzlits Decorative die strip.

The sentiment here is from the Stampin Up Short & Sweet stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto white and matted with pool party card stock.
I added some whisper white satin ribbon and some pool party ruffled ribbon to the top. The button I used at the top has one big hole in the middle, like a jumbo eyelet. I used my crop a dile to punch a hole in the top of the tag and glued the button on with my glue gun. I then pulled the ribbon through the hole and button.
So one tag down and about 8 more to go!
Thanks so much for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

SC344...Christmas Fun

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the sketch challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

I love this snowman set from Stampin' Up called "Snow Much Fun". My favorite snowman in the set is this tall skinny fellow with the birds, I adore him. My friend Wendy doesn't like this guy she prefers the other snowman, so I am on a mission to change her mind, she says I can't but we will see.

I stamped the image onto some Crumb Cake card stock with black stazon. I then colored him with some whisper white craft ink and my aqua painter. I also used some poppy parade ink, which looks like riding hood red on the kraft, and always artichoke. I also used some pumpkin pie for the nose.

The base of the card is riding hood red followed by basic black and then some Newsprint DSP. I added some retired felt flurries and a rhinestone and finished it off with some black brads.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

CC332....Snow Fun

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge yesterday on Splitcoaststampers. The colors are Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and any neutral of your choice.

I decided to use this new Stampin' Up set called "Snow Much Fun" to make another Christmas card. It has been so unbearable HOT here the last few weeks with no end to it in sight, so I am thinking "Cool" thoughts and looking forward to fall and winter, I really dislike summer.

I stamped the snowman and tree image onto some white card stock and used my aqua painter and ink pads to color them in. the only chocolate chip on here are the tree trunk, snowman's boots and hat. I used the pool party and wild wasabi for the rest. I did add some pumpkin pie for the nose and a bit of melon mambo for the cheek.

I used the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die for the base of the card. The image panel is matted with wild wasabi and added to the base with some dimesionals. The ribbon I used is some retired wild wasabi and is wrapped around the card and I used the crop a dile to put a couple of holes in the top panel to bring the ribbon up through. I tied a bow and then used the mat pack and piercing tool to pierce the scallop square base. The sentiment is stamped with black onto the with and I used the modern label punch to punch it out and for the wild wasabi matt.

Well, that is all from me for today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

WT329.....Snow Fun

TGIF Peeps!!!

Are you ready for the holiday weekend?  I am looking forward to it!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Ways to Use it challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to Use something from your stash that is at least 6 months old, and also use an item that is newer than 6 months old.

I choose to use a new stamp set, Snow Much Fun that is in the brand new Stampin' Up catalog that goes live today at noon. I stamped the snow man and tree image onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I colored it in with my aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. I used the card shown in the catalog for inspiration on my card. I like the layout they had used so I did my version of it.

The old on my card is from the DSP, it is from a retired pack from last Christmas and I think the name is "Deck the Halls".  The antique brad are some I have had for awhile and of course the modern label punch is also an older punch.

Love this cute snowman set! You are definitely gonna want to get it!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Snow Much Fun

TGIF Peeps!!!

Today I have another sneak peek for you. This is from an up coming new set called "Snow Much Fun"!! Ya'll know I love me some snowmen!! This guy is such a cutie!!! I used some retired DS paper from last year, since we didn't get any Christmas/winter type paper in our sneak peeks. This is from the Deck the Hall paper pack.

I stamped the snowman onto the very vanilla card stock with black stazon ink. I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used basic gray, cherry cobbler, always artichoke, soft suede and pumpkin pie.I added a bit of dazzling diamonds to the snowman but the picture didn't capture it at all.

Since the snowman is quite tall, he is almost 4 inches, he takes up alot of room on the card. I struggled a bit with where to add my sentiment. I finally decided to use part of one of the sentiments and cut it apart and add it to the main panel. I added some cherry cobbler and always artichoke seam binding and a few basic pearls.

Well, that is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
