Dynamic Duos....Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

I took some time  out of my Sunday afternoon to make a card! Yea me!!!

I took a look at the challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog and decided to try my hand with the the colors:

I love this new Stampin Up set called "Regarding Dahlias", so I pulled it out for this card.

I stamped the flower onto pear pizzazz card stock with Versmark and embossed using wome white embossing powder. I then used a couple of Copic Markers to color it. I really like how it turned out, altho I am not sure dahlias come in green.

The base of the card is Garden Green card stock and then a layer of white and then another piece of Pear Pizzaz. I embossed the "X's" across the bottom of the Pear Pizzazz with one of Needlepoint Border EF and added the Sentiment, which comes from the Four You stamp set.

I cut out the colored flower and added some dimensionals to the back before adding it to the base.
Clean and Simple!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Dynamic Duos.....Hello

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog:

I was a bit late hoping on the band wagon with this set, the Stampin Up Mosaic Madness with it's matching punch. This kind of stamp is not my favorite, but I have seen so many pretty cards made with it so I decided to give it a try. I love these colors and I think my card turned out pretty nice.

I used the Mosaic Embossing Folder on whisper white for the BG. I added some flowers punched with on of the Itty Bitty Punch pack punches and alot of bling in the way of some basic rhinestones.

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Regarding Dahlias stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.......Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

I am so excited to share a card with you today, it felt so good to sit down and stamp on Friday, it had been awhile and I could tell, it took me too long to make this card, but I could not let this week go by without making a card, I love being apart of this sketch team, I think it is the first team I was ever asked to be a part of and I am still amazed that I am a part of a team of such incredibly talented ladies. I am getting mushy as I type this, I really don't feel worthy, but......anyway you didn't come here to hear me being emotional..LOL, so onto my card and the "Sweet Sketch" Karen has for us this week:

I pulled out some of my new Stampin Up goodies, a new floral set that I LOVE, called "Too Kind" and also new DSP from the Modern Melody and Birthday Basics
The flowers are a two step stamp and I used Crisp Cantaloupe and Raspberry Ripple on Very Vanilla card stock.
The base of the card is Basic Black and then a layer of Very Vanilla and all the DSP is matted with black card stock.

The sentiment is from the hostess set called "Simply Sketch" and I used two of the Very Vintage Buttons and I dyed a bit of the white Bakes Twine using my Raspberry Ripple ink pad and added it to the buttons.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the lovelies did with this sketch:

Sweet Sunday........Hey There

Hello Peeps!!!

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week:

Since I am still waiting for my large SU order to arrive I pulled out a fave set of mine the Stampin Up Stippled Blossom. I paired it up with some Gingham Garden DSP and some Melon Mambo card stock.
I stamped the roses with Melon Mambo and the leaves with Old Olive ink (stamping off once for the base stamp and full strength for the top stamp.)

The sentiment is from my first Paper Pumpkin kit. I added some silver thread across the middle and some basic pearls on the scallops and the top corners of the card.
And a little peek of the inside:

Today we are excited to welcome two fabulous ladies to out Sweet Sunday Sketch team,
The amazingly talented Jodi Collins, (I am a huge fan of her work and she is the sweetest girl) and the equally amazing Lisa Henke, her work is always over the top!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

Sweet Sunday.......So Many Smiles

Happy Monday peeps!!

So sorry for my lack of posts lately, I have been busy and my want to stamp has been sadly missing. Hard to find the time and when I do I have no mojo!!!!!

Anyway I do have a card to share with you today, a day late but you know what they say "better late than never". This is my cared using the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge this week.

I loved working with this sketch, so many layers just make me happy!!

I have not gotten any new catalog stuff yet (well, other than what I pre-ordered) I am still working on what I want to get. So I pulled out a set that I love, Stampin Up's Summer Silhouettes and the Tea for Two DSP.

The base of my card is confetti cream and is a 5 inch square. I then used Island Indigo for matting all my layers of DSP. The flowers are stamped with Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral ink.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Here is a pic of the inside;

Be sure and check out what the rest of the girls did with this sketch:

Happy Birthday Wishes

TGIF peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a couple of challenges this week.

and also I used the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

The DSP I used is from the new Gingham Garden paper pack from Stampin Up.
The flowers and leaves come from the Stampin Up "Summer Silhouettes" set.

I love how the DSP here echos the lattice die, which is now retired but I love it and will always keep it and USE it.
The sentiment I used comes from the new hostess set called "Simply Sketched"
After getting my card all together I thought it needed a bit more daffodil so I added the scallop trim on the sentiment piece and down the side of the flower panel. I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Edge Punch.

Thanks for stopping by today!
