Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Sorry I have been a bit MIA lately, life is hectic and I am still a bit under the weather with this lingering cold and to top thinks off I took a tumble on Friday and I am sore all over!

Anyway, still working on a card order, this is one I put together using a past color challenge from the The Dynamic Duos Blog.
This is really a favorite color combo of mine, love the look of old olive and rich razzleberry together not to mention it makes a pretty flower card, and you know I love those! :)

The flower on here comes from the Stampin Up Fabulous Florets stamp set.
I stamped the greenery with old olive onto whisper white and then stamped the flowers with rich razzleberry onto some scrap whisper white. I then cut them out and popped them up over the greenery. The top flower is just part of the same image as the bottom. I just cut away a bunch of it.

The base of the card is white card stock followed by rich razzleberry card stock.
The DSP on here is from the International Bazaare pack and the Polka Dot Parade pack.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and I stamped with razzleberry ink and used my circle punches to punch out and mat.
I added some white card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF and some rich razzleberry satin ribbon (retired).

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC160......Thank you

Happy SundayPeeps!!

It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

Loved working with this sketch.
I started with a base of rich razzleberry card stock, I then followed that up with some white and the DSP is from the new Floral District paper pack.
The flower is from the Fabulous Florets stamp set. I stamped with razzleberry  ink onto some scrap and then cut it out, I used some dimesionals to add it to the main piece.
I stamped the leaf part with old olive ink onto whisper white card stock.

I added some buttons and little flowers for my embellishments. The sentiment comes from the "Just Believe" stamp set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team, and Guest Designer has in store for us this week:

and this week's Sweet Guest Designer: Tracy Clemente

Well, thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Color Challenge....Friend

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The colors for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and any neutral of your choice. The dessert option is FLOWERS!!! Well, that is right up my alley!

When I start a color challenge card I first pull out a piece of each of the colors and see what strikes my fancy, I have to say I struggled a bit with this one. Not the flowers of course, I knew right away, the leaves certainly celery and the flowers blushing bride and so saffron, no problem there, but the problem was getting a layout and layer of papers that was pleasing to me. I hadn't intended to use the paper lace doily strip like yesterdays card but after trying some other things that I didn't like I grabbed the lacey doily piece and then it all came together!

The base of the card is whisper white and then I used some Blushing Bride that I had embossed with the square lattice EF. I added the strip of paper lace doily across the bottom. I used a nestie, label 4, for the middle sentiment piece. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin' Up "All Holidays" onto the label with Certainly Celery ink. The flowers and leaves were stamped onto scrap whisper white and then cut out and mounted with dimesionals. I added some silver pearls and a certainly celery satin bow.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

OCC....Thanks

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.

This week our challenge hostess is the fabulous Jen Rzasa from Our Change of Art. Jen has challenged us to use Fabulous Floss! Embroidery floss is a versatile embellishment that can be used to jazz up your papercrafting. It's inexpensive, fun to use, and comes in every imaginable color. Don't be afraid to think beyond embroidery to incorporate floss into your next project!

I broke out a new stamp set, Stampin' Up Fabulous Florets for my card. I used some pretty in pink, crumb cake and very vanilla card stock. I stamped the stem silhouette onto the very vanilla with pear pizzazz ink. I then stamped three of the flowers onto very vanilla and colored them in with pretty in pink ink using my aqua painter.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to incorporate my floss into the card but finally decided to go with just a few cross stitches along the edges. I used my piercing tool and mat pack to pierce the holes and then went in with my needle and three strands of the floss and made the stitches.  I added a button with more floss to the end of my sentiment piece. I added a basic pearl to the flower centers and the base and main image are both added to the card with dimesionals.  The DSP I used on here is from a retired pack and I don't remember the name.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

Well, that is all from me for now, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
