Merry Christmas

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week at

I started out by making my Real Red "flowers".
I used a few dies from the Snowfall Thinlets set.

How cool are those flowers?
I love them and I love that they are in the Snowfall set,
kinda gives you more options than just snowflakes.

I used Crushed Curry for my third color.
I die cut the centers and the berries,
which, I know are not yellow, but I still though I looked alright.

I die cut a bunch of sprigs of "pine" using
Shaded Spruce card stock with the detailed poinsettia thinlets.
I tucked them all in and around my flowers.

The sentiment is from the Farmhouse Christmas set.
I stamped with Black Memento ink.
I added a few rhinestones under the sentiment and in the flower centers.
The base of he card is thick whisper white card stock.
I used a piece of DSP from the All is Bright pack
and I matted it with a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Christmas Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge at Fusion Card Challenge.

I took my inspiration from the photo, the red and white.

I told you all in an earlier post about my love for Poinsettias and how I like to use them on a few of my Christmas cards each year.

This card was a real booger, and I was determined to make it work, I couldn't/wouldn't stop.

The poinsettia was what I started with and what gave me the most grief.....lol!

I used the dies from the Detailed Poinsettia thinlits.

I die cut the flower a few times and went to work putting it together, that was where I had my issues, the glue was just messy. UGH! and I could not get my adhesive sheets to work, but I was determined and eventually got it together.

The rest of the card is fairly simple and straightforward.
I used the basket weave EF and I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

I added a few pieces of greenery around the flower and finished with a few red rhinestones.

Some cards come together easily and others try your patience, but in the end I like the results.

Thanks for stopping by today!
