Mojo Monday on Tuesday

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps. I was up early and out for my walk before it got toooo hot!! It was still nice just a Little after 7 this morning.

Today I am sharing my Mojo Monday Sketch Card on Tuesday. I know I have been using the new in color, rich razzleberry, way to much lately and I promise I will try to move on soon! My intention yesterday was to get two cards done, the mojo one and also the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but I had a bit of a headache most of the day yesterday and I struggled with this mojo one for ever, I walked away and left it and then finally came back to it last night and finished. I do like the end result but it took me the longest time to pull it together. I had originally wanted to use the lattice die but after an hour or two of struggling with it I gave up on that notion.

I started with a base of PTI white cardstock and followed that with some rich razzleberry and then some Cottage Wall DS paper. I then layered more white and razzleberry and Cottage wall DS paper for the next layers. The center element is made up of white and richrazzleberry and then a white scallop circle cut with my petite scallop circle nesties and cuttlebug.

I stamped the butterflies from the Verve set, Fluttering By, on scrap PTI white with rich razzlebery ink and cit them out. they are mounted to the circle with some mono adhesive liquid glue just in the center, so I could pull the wings up just a bit. I added some silver sticky rhinestones down the center of each butterfly. I stamped the sentiment that also comes in this set with black stazon. I added three more silver rhinestones under the sentiment. Oh, and one to each corner of the layer below the sentiment!

I used some of the rich razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon at the side. I made a stylized bow and attached it to the ribbon with some scor-tape.

Well, that is all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo With or Without?

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! We have been having early morning storms roll through for the last couple of days. This morning our power went off and was off for awhile. I left to go on my walk and when I got back it finally was on.

On to today's card, it is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I really am digging these mojo sketches, but you know I love all sketch challenges, it seems I can't make a card without one now!

I decided to use some Verve stamps for this card. I started with the Floral Whimsy Set and stamped the flowers onto crushed curry cardstock with black stazon. I also stamped them onto some whisper white. I cut out the flowers on the crushed curry and added them to the ones on the white with some pop dots. Then I went looking for some matching DS paper and pulled these two pieces from the Razzleberry Lemonade and Tall Tales packs. I layered with crushed curry and basic black. I cut a strip of basic black to go across the bottom and used my Martha Stewart Double scallop punch along the bottom edge. I, of course, pierced the scallops. I added some crushed curry polka dot ribbon and then made a bow to add too. I then went looking for a sentiment to fit the square from the sketch. I found this cute saying..."You're Still the one" in the Verve "Feeling Groovy" stamp set. I stamped it onto some scrap white with black stazon and cut it out to fit the square hardware piece from the SU stylized silver hardware kit. I added silver brads to the piece.

After getting it all together I thought it might still need something else so I added the piercing in the corner of the main panel and then the butterfly. Now my question to you is do you like it with our without the butterfly? I have looked at it both ways and can't decide. Here is the pic with:

So let me know what you think? With or without?

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Just Because

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Hope you all are having a great week so far and are looking forward to the Holiday Weekend!!!

Today's card is made with The Mojo Monday Sketch. This is a new one, for me, I have always been a little nervous about participating in a sketch challenge that has such a large following, don't really know why? I have borrowed a few Verve Stamp Sets from my friend Lois, I have one, but she has alot more and I love this large butterfly. Now you know if you follow this blog, I am a STAMPIN' UP girl, through and through, but I occasionally get wonder lust and check out a few other companies, and Verve is one I have always admired, the have really cute designs.

Anyway, I started the card with a base of Rich Razzleberry, (have I told you how much I LOVE the new in-colors) I followed the base with a piece of DS paper from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack. The next layer begins with crushed curry and more DS paper. I created the "faux ribbon" with strips of crushed curry and rich razzleberry cardstock. The butterflies are stamped twice in rich razzleberry and crushed curry ink and cut out and layered. I added some sticky pearls to the center and mounted them to the main panel with a dimensional.

The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped onto white with rich razzleberry and punched out with my large oval punch and layered onto a punched scallop oval. It is mounted with dimensionals. I added three sticky pearls to the right side and it is done. I have to say I LOVE this card, and i don't say that very much about my cards, I just love the butterflies and the colors! Hope you like it too!

Well, that is it for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
