Thank you, Thank you very much!

Good Friday morning Peeps!!!

You know, I am still playing with Elvis!!! He is the King after all and he calls to me in such a sweet tone, I just can't resist!!!

Today's card was made for the limited supply challenge on splitcoast, Favorite things.
You know my favorite stamps right now are the fabulous CHF Elvis stamps!!! I also used the sketch challenge from this week on splitcoast for my layout.

I started with my card base of riding hood red and followed that with a piece of pink pirouette. Then a piece of DS paper from the Washington Apple series of SU paper's. I used the cuttlebug and embossing folder, another favorite tool, and added some brads from the silver hodgepoge set and a little mini paper clip. I tied a piece of riding hood red taffeta ribbon around the clip, another favorite embellishment, ribbon!

This thank you card is heading out to a friend who sent me a beautiful poinsettia for Christmas. Hope she loves Elvis as much as I do!

That's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

All Shook Up

Happy New Year's Eve peeps!!!

I am still playing with Elvis, sorry no post yesterday, I have been battling a cold since before Christmas and I am worn out, so when I sit down at my stamping desk night before last, nothing came to me. :(

But last night, Elvis was calling my name and I got "All Shook Up". LOL!! I made two similar cards, using the same stamp the same sentiment and colors but changing the layout and embellishments.

I was in a Valentine mood, so I used real red, basic black and PTI white cardstock. I used the cuttlebug and heart embossing folder on both of them as well. The first one is a simple and basic layout with some scallop borders and ribbon embellishments. Don't you just love Elvis?

As soon as I finished the first one, the idea for this layout was forming in my mind, so I immediately stamped another Elvis and layered him up in the same way as the first. I also cut two more red and black pieces the same size as the layers on Elvis. I ran the red piece through the cuttlebug and then layered onto the black. I stamped the BG of red with the heart from the SU priceless set with versamark. I angled the two panels on the front, putting the Elvis one up on dimensionals and added some silver sticky rhinestones to the corners. For the sentiment I used my black marker and colored in the words, two at a time and stamped them in two lines so they could be punched out with a circle punch. Layered it as well with red and black, added some piercing and dimensionals, and I am "all shook up" for the second time!!!!

So which do you like best? My daughter picked the first, she liked the scallops and ribbons, I think my fave is the second.

Well, that's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!

Elvis in the House

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a fab weekend!

Yesterday I took a drive to a friends house to borrow some of her awesome Elvis Stamps!!! She has a whole basket full and didn't hesitate a second about letting me borrow the King!

My very good friend Becky, is a huge Elvis fan and her birthday is on the 10th, so I wanted to make her a Elvis Birthday card and a set of Elvis Note Cards. The first card is made with
Jen's Sketch. The card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square.

Lois, my friend who loaned me the stamps, had made this fabulous black and white Elvis card and so when I got home I got out the black and white to make mine. I like hers better and plan on CASEing it, before I return her stamps. I must get me some of the Elvis stamps, the are so much fun!

The next idea I had in mind was to make a set of note cards as part of the gift. I dug into my scrap box to find some pieces of colored cardstock. I chose some so saffron, almost amethyst, cool Caribbean and pink passion, cut some 2 3/4 x 3" squares and stamped on Elvis with black stazon ink, three on each color of card stock. I layered them up with some black, and made these simple note cards.

Made a total of 12 note cards, 3 of each color, the are sized 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" also. I didn't add any sentiments, so she could use them for whatever she likes. I also found an Elvis Beanie Baby to go along with the Elvis cards! Hope she likes them!

Well, that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!
