MTSC Happy Fall

Happy Hump Day Peeps! Hope all is well with you!

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I love these long and low cards! This one is started with a base of Soft Suede. the next layer is made with pumpkin pie card stock and the DS paper is from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack.

I received alot of positive feedback during the Catty Cruise, on the big pumpkin I made (last card in the post) using one of the stamps from the "Pumpkin Patch" set, so I thought I would do another!

I stamped 5 ovals onto some whisper white card stock and cut them out. I layered them from front to back alternating the ovals. I then stamped the stem, with old olive, on some scrap white and cut it out leaving a longer strip at the bottom to tuck into the layers of the pumpkin, behind the first layer. I marked lightly with a pencil where the pumpkin was to be located on my white panel and then stamped the curly vine pieces, not sure what they are called, directly onto the white. I then stamped in a bunch of grass, all these stamps are in the Pumpkin Patch set. I mounted the pumpkin with a few dimensionals to the white panel. I then layered that panel with some soft suede and then pumpkin pie card stock.

I used a MS punch for the bottom element and layered a strip of soft suede over it. I then added some soft suede grosgrain ribbon across. I used some crochet thread and a needle to add my "X's". I had pierced the holes first with my mat pack and piercing tool. While I had that out I had to add a bit more piercing!!!

The sentiment comes from the retired "Happy Blessings" set and I inked up a portion of the stamp with soft suede and stamped onto white. I punched it out with my 1 inch circle punch and matted it with a 1-1/4 inch circle of soft suede.

I thought it needed a bit more, don't I always? So I added an old olive bow to the pumpkin and three orange sticky pearls under the sentiment.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

How about a Halloween Purse or two or....

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! It is such a beautiful fall day here in southwest Missouri! Very cool and crisp, just the way I like it!!

Yesterday I did not feel like doing any challenges, I know can you believe it? I have been feeling a little burned out lately, so I decide to just do something for fun. I had been wanting to try these Top Note Purses by Becky Roberts. She has an incredible blog, Inking Idaho and she has incredible talent.

These purses are so much fun to make and are really simple with Becky's instructions!I made three, all use the Cast-A-Spell DS paper. I used basic black, pumpkin pie and perfect plum card stock. I used the "Batty for You" stamp set and the scallop circle punch and 1-1/2, 1-3/8 and 1 inch circle punches.

I don't have the large scallop die from SU so I had to find a substitute, I used my large scallop and circle nesties. Not an exact match, but close enough for me! I also used some small magnetic discs for my closure. I used the jumbo eyelets to make the opening to thread the ribbon through. I used black and pumpkin pie ribbon for the handles.

These are very easy peasy lemon squeasy!!! I will fill them with some Halloween candy and give to some cute little spooks I know!!!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

C4C4 Merry & Bright

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with this week's sketch on the Crazy 4 challenges Blog.

My card uses my new Tree Trimmings Set, just got it Friday. The DS paper is Merry Moments.

The base of the card is old olive, followed by real red and then the DS paper. I stamped the decoration onto very vanilla card stock in real red, old olive and garden green ink. I stamped the real red one a second time onto scrap and cut it out and mounted it over the first one with some dimensionals. I added some sticky rhinestones to each. The sentiment is from the "To You & Yours" stamp set. the bow hangers and sentiment is stamped with chocolate chip ink. I matted the main panel with old olive and real red card stock. I pierced around the DS panel with my piercing tool and mat pack. I used the word window punch and old olive to make the element on the strip panel.

Well, that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC37 Happy Fall

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!

It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Pinch me, I still can't beleive I am a Sweet Sunday Stamper!!!

Here is this week's sketch:

Of course my card is a bit altered from the sketch, my main image panel is a bit bigger than the sketch. I started the card with a base of dusty durango and followed that with some crushed curry and the DS paper comes from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack.

I used some more dusty durango and crused curry and an embossing folder for the side element. The stamp set is Branch Out and the sentiment comes from the Falling Leaves set, I just used part of the sentiment. For the bottom strip I used some dusty durango ribbon and the button comes from my stash and I was surprised to find it matches the crushed curry very well.

WSC From Our House to Yours

Good Saturday Morning peeps!!!

Did you all enjoy the Catty Cruise, I sure did, so many talented people and wonderful projects on the cruise!

Today I am sharing a card I made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. The sketch was for a long skinny card, mine is 4 inch by 5-1/2 inch. The stamp set I used is from the "Holiday Best", a level 1 Hostess Set. I stamped it with real red ink onto white card stock. I cut it out with my round nesties, and left the nestie on the cardstock and sponged some real red ink around the edge of the image. I used the scallop nesties in real red for the mat. The base of the card is real red followed by white and the DS paper is from the retired Ski Slope pack. The sentiment comes from the "To You & Yours" set and is stamped with real red onto white. I used the word window punch and the modern label punch. I added some white brads and white organza ribbon and a bow.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Catty Cruise

0925lighthouse_200

Ahoy Maties!!! Welcome to the second voyage of the Catty Cruise. This time with are setting sail through the new Holiday Mini Catalog!

If you just sailed here from Kay Kalthoff port of call Stamping to Share wasn't her projects with the Serene Snowflake amazing?!!!! I just love all she does!

We’ve have 11 incredible stamp artist for this cruise through the new Stampin' Up Holiday Mini catalog. You’ll get to the next port by clicking on the port hole at the end of this post. But, if we somehow lose you along the way, you can always rejoin us by visiting our home port, Catty Cruise Line.

When I first saw the new Holiday mini I was immediately drawn to the Pumpkin Patch Set. I LOVE Halloween, all the cute stuff, not the blood and gore stuff, This little set is adorable and fits the "Cute Stuff" perfectly!

Halloween, to me, is all about the little ones and all the fun they have and of course, the CANDY!!! So I had to make some Halloween treat holders and a card or two!!

The pumpkins in this set are so fun to use and you can mix and match the faces and pumpkins! My box is made with basic black and the Speciality DS paper, Night and Day, also in the mini. The pumpkins are stamped on scrap white and cut out and added with dimensionals. The card is old olive and uses the Cast-A-Spell DS paper. The sentiment is from the Pumpkin Patch Set and I just inked up part of it to use on this card.

This next set is :

just as fun as the first! I made the box pumpkin pie cardstock and added some DS paper to the sides and used a MS punch for the fence. The card is made with pumpkin pie and old olive and more Cast-A-Spell DS paper. I used a needle and embroidery floss to make the "X's" behind the main image panel. I added old olive ribbon and some black brads.

And Lastly:

I used the Pumpkin Patch Set and the Wandering Words Set for this simple little card.

I stamped five of the pumpkin ovals onto scrap white and cut them out, and layered to make the large pumpkin. I stamped the stem and cut it out and added it to the pumpkin. I used a spectrum pad to ink up the words. I layered it onto chocolate chip and then mounted to the card. It is 6-1/2 inch by 3-1/4 inch, and will fit into the small open end envelopes. I added some chocolate chip twill ribbon and some piercing along the bottom.

As much as I’d love to keep you at It's A Stamp Thing, it’s time to weigh anchor again and embark on to the next port, the fabulously talented Angie Tieman at Schwooo! She is going to show you some projects with the "Just Beclause" Stamp Set.

Good Thursday Morning peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made yesterday while stamping with a friend. We decide to check out the sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

I wanted to use this fun new set from the mini, Berry Christmas. I started my card with a base of real red and followed that with some whisper white and then the DS paper is also from the mini and is from the Christmas Cocoa Speciality pack. I also used the Textured impressions Folder, Petals-A-Plenty. The main image was stamped with old olive ink and then the bird is real red, stamped onto a scrap a and cut out mounted to the wreath with dimensionals. I added some sticky mini red pearls to the wreath and a small rhinestone to the bird.

The sentiment is also from the same set and is stamped with real red and punched out with the word window punch and mounted to the real red piece punched with the modern label punch. It is also mounted with dimensionlas. I added some more sticky rhinestones to the edge. Finished with some real red grosgrain ribbon and bow.

I just wanted to take a minute to send out a huge thank you to the Pals Paper Arts Blog Team, for choosing my KISS challenge cards for one of their Pals Paper Arts Artist Pick Winners!!! I am so honored and frankly excited beyond belief. I was very surprised! Thank you so much Pals Paper Arts Group!!!!

MTSC You Make Me Smile

Happy Hump Day peeps! Hope you all are having a great week so far!

Today's card is made for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I am hooked on this little pumpkin in this fun set, Twick or Tweet! I just love it and I have been using it way to much, can't help myself! I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with black stazon and then colored it with my aqua painter and inks in pumpkin pie, really rust, perfect plum and summer sun. I used the corner rounder punch on each layer. The layers are pumpkin pie and basic black.

The base of the card is basic black, followed by pumpkin pie, that I ran through the cuttlebug using an embossing folder. The DS paper is from the Cast A Spell pack. Each strip has been matted with basic black. I added some 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and pumpkin pie buttons. I threaded some black embroidery thread through each button and also through the card stock itself.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo Pinecones

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! It is a cool rainy day here in southwest Missouri.

Today's card is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch.

This one was a tuffy! I wanted to make a Christmas type card with the pine cone stamp from the Autumn Days set. It is sooo cute.

So I started by inking up my image with always artichoke and used my chocolate chip marker to color in the branch. I stamped it onto some white card stock. I then stamped it again with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I cut out just the pine cones and mounted them over the original with some dimensionals.

I tied a small bow with some 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and added to the stem of the branch with a glue dot. The image is then matted with always artichoke and real red card stock.

The base of the card is always artichoke and that is followed by whisper white and then the DS paper is from the retired Wintergreen pack. I made the circles at the bottom with real red and white cardstock, I ran them through the cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. I punched them out with my 1-3/8 inch circle punch. I ran a small piece of real red across the top of the circles and then used the white organza ribbon across that. I tied a bow and mounted it with some glue dots. I punched a few "leaves" from the MS punch and added them under the bow. The main image is then added with some dimensionals. I like how the DS paper matches the angels of the image panel, made it easy to line it up!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

C4C3 Wonderful Friend

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope your weekend was good!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog.

I started my card with a base of rich razzlebery and followed that with some Orchid Opulence and then the DS paper, which is from the cottage wall pack. The strip on the side is old olive punched on the edge with the lace edge punch. Then followed with more DS paper. The main layer is made up rich razzlebery and old olive. The sentiment comes from the All Holidays set and stamped with rich razzleberry ink. I used the For all you do stamp set and stamped the stem over the sentiment with old olive that I had stamped off once before. I stamped the flower onto some scrap white and cut out and added to the main panel with a dimensional. I used a silver sticky rhinestone to the center of the flower and three at the bottom. I added some rich razzleberry ribbon and a button from the latte collection.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Sweet Sunday Stamper!!

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!!!

I am super excited to share my card with you today! A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from Karen Giron saying she was putting together a sketch team for her Sweet Sunday sketches and she said she would like me to be a part of that team!!!! I screamed out loud!!! I was so honored and hesitated only a minute before shooting her an e-mail back saying I would LOVE to be part of her team!!!!

This was our first sketch:

I have to say I was a little intimidated by those tilted panels. I have been going through some of my older DS paper lately and using some of it. Some of my favorites, this is one of them, the retired Ski Slope.

I used the Punch Pals Stamp set, old olive and real red card stock along with whisper white of course. I don't have the new SU snowflake punch yet, it is on my next order so I used my MS punch.

I hope you will play along with us on this sketch. Karen has Mr. Linky up on her site, so you can link your creations over there. She is also offering some fun Blog Candy so be sure and head over there! And check out the creations of the rest of the fabulous Sketch team too!!!!

WSC Baja Revisited

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.

I so loved and miss baja. It is one of my favorite colors of all time. I also loved the Parisian Speciality Paper from the last catalog . We just don't have any paper in the new catalog that compares to this one, in my opinion anyway. So for this card I pulled out these old in colors and paper and paired it up with some chocolate chip and the Friends 24-7 Stamp set.

The base is chocolate chip, followed by baja and then the DS paper. the next layer is chocolate chip and more of the DS paper. The main image is the beautiful damask from the stamp set. I stamped it with some baja ink and then used a sentiment from the Kind & Caring Thoughts stamp set, stamped with chocolate chip ink. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement of the sentiment where I wanted it. It was then matted with chocolate chip and then baja. This is mounted to the base with dimensionals. I added some non-SU white satin ribbon and a bow. The 24-7 is stamped with chocolate chip and punched out with my 1-1/4 inch circle punch, that has a rough spot on it and it leaves a rugged place on the circle!!! UGH!!! I then matted that with a 1-3/8 inch circle of chocolate chip and then finally layered onto a scallop circle of baja. I pierced the scallops with my piercing tool and mat pack. I also added a bit of piercing under the 24-7. I finished ups with some pretty sticky pearls, two on the damask piece and three on the chocolate layer.

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

K.I.S.S.

T.G.I.F. Peeps!

Today I have two cards to share with you. Both are made for the K.I.S.S. challenge on the Pals Paper Arts Blog. K.I.S.S. stands for Keep It Simple Sweetie.

I was very much inspired by these beauties made by Sharon Johnson.

I made my cards with whisper white and real red cardstock. I used two different embossing folders that I recently bought.

Both are really quick and easy. I wanted them to look somewhat elegant so I went looking through my Christmas Sets for some greetings with pretty font. The Season's Greetings comes from the "Snow Swirled" set. The "A Christmas Wish" comes from the "Home for Christmas" Set.

The bases of both cards are white, followed by real red and then the embossed layer. Each embossed layer has a frame that is perfect for the sentiment. I stamped each sentiment onto scrap white and then matted them with real red and attached that with some dimensionals to the base.

The only embellishment is some red organza ribbon, non SU.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC Grateful Greetings

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I made my card a bit bigger to accommodate the pumpkins and sentiment I wanted to use. The finish size is 5 x 5-1/2 inches. I dug out some of last years fall DS paper, Autumn Vines.

The base of the card is chocolate chip and then layered with really rust and the DS paper. I cut out a top not with really rust and another pattern of the DS paper. Trimmed the DS paper and layered it over the really rust. I cut it flat on one side.

i stamped the pumpkins and greeting onto watercolor paper with black stazon. I colored in the pumpkins with my aqua painter and used more mustard, pumpkin pie, really rust and ruby red ink. The stems and ground was colored in with chocolate chip, altho the sentiment covers most of the ground.

I used 5/8 inch chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. I added some pretty leaves brad from my stash. the circle and scallop is cut with my nesties and cuttlebug. The pumpkin image and sentiment are mounted with dimensionals.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

So Thankful

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Pals Paper Arts Blog.

I have to admit that I struggled a bit with this sketch, those little circles and then I find it hard to make a card without a sentiment on the front. So I had to find a way to put my ribbon on and the sentiment.

The stamp set used is "Falling Leaves". My card base is made with elegant eggplant, followed by soft suede and then the DS paper is from the Autumn Traditions pack.

I stamped the leaves in more mustard, ruby red and elegant eggplant. the are then punched out with my 1-1/4 inch circle punch and layered onto a 1-3/8 inch soft sued circle. That is then layered onto an elegant eggplant scallop circle. I pierced the scallops on each circle. These are then mounted to the card with some dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the same set and is stamped with soft suede ink. I cut it out and used the curly label punch on the end. The strip across the top is also elegant eggplant is also pierced on both edges. I added some soft suede ribbon across this piece and attached it to the base. I then tied a bow knot with more ribbon. Finally the sentiment is curled a bit and attached to the ribbon with a mini library clip and then a bit of glue to the end.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Joy

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch. This is a new challenge blog, and this month each weeks challenge is to be a sketch challenge. I love sketch challenges, and this weeks sketch is a super fun one, I love it!

I started the card with a base of white, 4-3/4 inch by 9-1/2 inches, folded in half. I followed that with a 4-1/2 inch square of real red and then a 4-1/4 inch square of white. The DS paper is from the new pack called Christmas Cocoa, each square is a 2 inches.

The center element is made up of 2-1/2 inch square of real red and then a 2-3/8 inch square of white. I pierced all around the edge of this with my piercing tool and mat pack. The "Joy" bulb comes from the set "Delightful Decorations". I stamped it with real red ink onto some white shimmer card stock and used the matching ornament punch to punch it out. It is then mounted to the center with some dimensionals. I used some non-SU white satin ribbon to make a bow and the piece going up and over the top of the square. Finally I added a large white brad to each corner.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Sweet Goblins

Good Sunday Afternoon Peeps! Hope you are having a peaceful day!

Today I have two cards to share with you, both are made with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I really love this layout, very cute!

I am still on a Halloween kick here, this time I used the awesome Night & Day DS paper pack. I also used the same sets on both cards, Twick or Tweet and Grateful Greetings, which is in the mini.

Both cards have a base of Basic Black. I used white and black for layering. on the first one I used a bit of pumpkin pie for a pop of color. I love how it looks with the black and white. The main image is stamped with stazon onto some watercolor paper. I then used my aqua painter along with pumpkin pie, really rust, elegant eggplant and summer sun ink to color it. I used my MS drippy goo punch to layer the sentiment, which is from the Grateful Greetings set. I tied some pumpkin pie ribbon around it and added three sparkly orange rhinestones.

This next one is a bit smaller than the first. I stamped the cute little chick directly onto some of the DS paper and only colored in the pumpkin basket with a bit of pumpkin pie ink and my aqua painter.

I added some black grosgrain ribbon and white mini brads for accents. I used the modern label and word window punches for the sentiment.

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SC Make Me Smile

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all are having a great week so far, the weekend is almost here!!!

The card I am sharing today was made with this weeks sketch on splitcoast. It is another Halloween card. I used the fun little set, Twick or Tweet. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with black stazon and colored it in with my aqua painter and my ink pads, the colors are pumpkin pie, summer sun, really rust, elegant eggplant.

The base of the card is made with basic black, followed by old olive and then the DS paper which is from the Cast-A-Spell pack. I wanted to make my main image panel, like a tag, so I used the tag corner punch on all the layers. The top is made up of circles, 1 inch and 3/4 inch, punched with old olive and perfect plum. I added a black brad to the center.

I used the top note die to make the side layer. I cut two one in basic black and one with the DS paper. I added black and plum ribbon across the middle and added a black bow.

After getting this all together and looking at it, I think I should have used some pumpkin pie color in it somewhere, to tie in the main image. Oh well, to late now. I have been is such a creative funk lately, doubting everything I do.

I have some exciting things coming up in the near future, and I think I just over think everything and then end up doubting my own ability to create!!!! Dang it!!!! LOL!! I am cracking under the pressure........ROFLOL!!!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Give Thanks

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! Hope you all are enjoying your day.

Today I am sharing a card and a place card. I made these with Thanksgiving in mind. We are not really formal type people, but I do love to dress up the table for Thanksgiving dinner. I had just gotten this hostess set "Holiday Best" and when looking at it I thought the "Give Thanks" stamp would be perfect for the place cards I wanted to make.

The place card is 4 by 3 inches. The base is soft suede and the DS paper is from the Autumn Traditions DS paper. I stamped the main image onto white card stock. I inked it up with soft suede, ruby red, old olive and more mustard. I hand wrote the name, but before I make more of these and use them for Thanksgiving I need to find a pretty font and print them out. I added a mini library clip and a bow.

The card is made with the same colors and I just changed the layout up a bit. I added some vintage brads to it.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

I then used some red stickles to add some sparkle to the image panel. I also put a small dot onto the reindeer's nose. Tooo Cute!

Good Wednesday Morning Peeps! It is a rainy almost cold morning here in southwest Missouri.

Today's card is dedicated to Michelle Hale, a friend and member of one of the blog groups I am in. I discovered yesterday that she had passed away last week. I didn't really know Michelle personally, we had never meet, but she was always very sweet with her comments on my blog and we had exchanged a few e-mails concerning some cards. I know her family is devastated, she was only 44 years old, she was hit by a car while out jogging. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

My card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I started this card with a base of dusty durango and then some soft suede and then the DS paper is from the Autumn Traditions DS pack. The cute little leaf stamp comes from the Autumn Days stamp set and the sentiment is from Trendy Trees.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SFYTT BOO!!!!

Good Afternoon Peeps! Hope all is well with you so far. Today is my husbands birthday and I just wanted to take a moment to say Happy Birthday Ed!!!! I need to tease him just a little about him being soooooo much older than me!!! LOL!!! Just two years, but I love to tease him about it!!

The card I am sharing with you today was made with Jen's Sketch For You To Try.

My card is made with basic black and pumpkin pie card stock. The DS paper is from the Cast-A-Spell pack. The stamps I used are Autumn Harvest and the retired, Autumn Apparitions.

I tried to get this post up early this morning but Blogspot was not working for some reason. I had a better description but I am a bit short of time now. If you have any questions just let me know.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!
