SUO....Hello Beautiful

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today brings a new challenge at the SUO Challenges.

We have a fun color challenge for you this time.

Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green and Pool Party
with the optional color of Mango Melody.

I opted out of the optional color and just went with the
Lovely Lipstick, Pool Party and Granny Apple Green.

I pulled out my Climbing Rose set to begin my card.
Let's face it, if I could make a flower type card every time I stamp I would be in heaven. LOL!

I stamped my image and colored with lovely lipstick for the flowers and granny apple green for the leaves. I used Pool Party around he flower image
I used my new Rectangle Stitched dies to cut out my panel.

I also stamped a couple of Butterflies from the Butterfly Gala set and used the matching punch to cut them out.
I colored these two little guys with pool party and granny apple green.
T he base of my card is Lovely Lipstick card stock.
Then another layer of Lovely Lipstick that I embossed with the Lace Dynamic EF.

I added the image rectangle to my base piece with dimesionals.
I cut a strip of Basic Black to emboss my sentiment on to.
The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala set.

I stamped and fussy cut out  a few of the leaves to add over the edges of my design.
I then finished up with a few basic rhinestones.

Be sure to head over to the SUO Challenge Blog, we would love it if you joined us.

Thanks for stopping by.

You've Been on My Mind

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

A fun new/old sketch at CAS(E) this sketch was the start for my card today.

I recently took the plunge and got a few Stampin Up Blends and I was anxious to give them a try.
I bought the Tea Together set and earned the matching dies just because I love the flowers.
They were my starting point for my card.

I stamped a couple of the flower a images a few times on some scrap
thick whisper white with Black Memento ink
and colored them with a combo of my Blends and Copic Markers.
 I definitely need more Blends!
I die cut them out and went about making the rest of the card.

I used the stitched rectangle dies for all my rectangles on my card.
Love them!!

I used Highland Heather card stock and a piece of Gingham Gala DSP.

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set
and finished with a few sequins from the adhesive back sequin pack in the Gingham Gala line.

Thanks for coming by today!

Thank You So Very Much

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Over at the Less is More Challenge Blog it is their 8th Birthday and they have a pretty color challenge.

and at The Global Design Project  they have a themed challenge.

I generally am not a "less" kind of card maker..lol but this one came together and I kinda don't hate it!! :)

I used the SAB stamp set Lovely Lattice and  water colored my flowers with Mariana Mist and Night of Navy inks.
The leaves are colored with Pear Pizzazz

I then fussy cut out my flowers, I did snip off some of the small flowers and leaves so I could add them back to my arrangement in different areas.

The base of the card is thick whisper white and I added a bit of gingham gala DSP across the bottom.

The flowers are added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I stamped it directly on the base with Black Memento Ink.

I finished with just a basic pearl in the centers of a few of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Little Note

Happy Friday Peeps!!

I wanted to pop in here quickly to share a fun card I put together yesterday using the Butterfly Gala stamp set and matching punch!

The butterflies in this set are so pretty and a really nice variety.

I first stamped the butterflies onto some thick whisper white card stock.
I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I used Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight on one set
and Mariana Mist and Call Me Clover on the others.

I then punched them out with the matching punch a
and added them to my white die cut piece with my Tombow Glue.

I told you how I have been obsessed with this Gingham black and white paper from he Butterfly Botanical pack that is a free in the Sale-A-Bration catalog this year.
I used it again! LOL!!!

The base of my card is thick Whisper White card stock,
followed with a piece of basic black and then the DSP.

I haven't used ribbon on any of my cards in a while,
but pulled out some black retired ribbon for this one.

I then added the butterfly piece to the base with some dimesionals.

The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.
I finished up with a few rhinestones on the butterflies and card.

Thanks  for stopping by today.
