Crazy 4 challenges......Sunshine

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
Time for another new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges Blog

It is a new month so that means
a new hostess, Danielle Lounds and a new Guest Designer, Debra Hensley

Our challenge this week is:

This time of the year the sun finally comes out in full force.
To celebrate, include a little sunshine on your project.
Sun images, lots of bright yellow or your favorite sun ray folder/die cut would all work.

I pulled out a couple of sets to use on my card, I wanted to use the Ray of Sunshine set to make my sun image. This is a really fun set, the solid circle is separate and then there are several options for the rays. Long, short, and curved. It was really easy to line up my rays I loved that!

The sentiment comes from the same set, it has a few "Sunshiney' sentiments, but I am rally fond of this one.

After stamping the sun, rays and sentiment,
I pulled out the leaves from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and added them to the corners of the card.
I stamped one on scrap and popped it up over the one on the base,

I used the Petite Flowers to add a bit of color and the butterfly is from the Kinda Eclectic set too.

I added a few little pearls to the butterfly and flower center to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the rest of the girls did with this Sunshine Challenge!!!

Happy Stampin!!

FMS......Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at The Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Sweet Sketch!
I decided to pull out a much neglected set Stampin Up's Regarding Dahlia.
I stamped the image three times  onto some Pink Pirouette card stock using black stazon ink.
I then colored with my water brush and pink pirouette and strawberry slush ink. I cut the image out and layered it up. I then used my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the petals. I seriously love that pen the shimmer is amazing IRL, I could not capture it that well with my pics.

The base of the card is PTI white card stock and then a layer of Pink Pirouette and then more white. The DSP strip on here is from retired pack and then I used more Pink Pirouette to make the sentiment banner.
The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set and is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink.
The dots across the bottom come from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and I stamped with Pink Pirouette ink.

I added a small sequin star that is from the In Color Sequin Assortment.

Color Challenge.....Thank You Blossoms

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

I was off work today and since it is a scorcher here is Southwest MO, I decide I would spend some time at my stamping table.
I took a peek over at Splitcoast at this week's Color Challenge and was elated to find the challenge was called "All Abloom" and we had alot of colors to choose from.

and

Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush, choose any three or choose them all. The neutral this week is white.

I choose Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding and Lost Lagoon.

I love the leaves in the Stampin Up Kinda Eclectic  and I decide to pair them up with another fave set from Stampin Up called Stipple Blossoms. I inked up the flower base with Strawberry Slush ink and stamped it off once on scrap paper before stamping on my whisper white card stock. I stamped the overlay to the flower with Strawberry Slush ink full strength. The leaves are stamped with Pistachio Pudding ink and then all the flower and leaves are hand cut out with my paper snips. I stamped the sentiment from the Wetlands stamp set onto more whisper white and used a circle die to cut out. I then arranged my leaves and roses around the circle.

The base of the card is PTI white card stock and the Lost Lagoon DSP is from the Moonlight pack.
I added a small strip of Lost Lagoon card stock down the edge of the DSP.
I added the center piece to the card base with some dimensionals. The edges are slightly over the edge of the card base on both sides, and I am OK with that.
I finished off with a row of basic pearls on the lost lagoon card stock strip. I did keep the BG on my pretty clean and simple so that the pretty leaves and flowers could be the "stars".
