Paper Players.....Thank You

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

This week it is a Clean and Simple Girly Thank You.

I decided to pull out a fave set that is retiring soon. Pleasant Poppies is a much loved stamp set of mine and I will be sad when it is gone.
I have colored these poppies many colors over the course time, but I am pretty sure I had not done an orange/yellow combo.
I used Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight.
I stamped the image onto some Naturals White card stock with black stazon and used my aqua painter to color them up.

I used some Wild Wasabi ink for the stems.
The thank you comes from the Painted Petals stamp set.
I then added my lines around the image using the Project Life Black Journaling Pen.
I tied a bit of twine around the bottom and called it done.

It is girly don't you think?
I love the flowers!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stampin!!!!

Crazy 4 Challenges.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch challenge this week at Crazy 4 Challkenges.

This week it was a sketch challenge:

I flipped the sketch and decided to pull out a set I love and have not used in awhile.
Stampin Up Pleasant Poppies. I decided too make a bit of a vintage/grunge card.
I pulled out the retired French Script to use in the BG. I stamped the script using Crumb Cake ink, that was stamped of once before stamping on the paper.

I then stamped the poppies on using Black Stazon and colored with my water brush and ink pads.
I stamped the flowers again onto some scrap paper and colored the flower heads. I cut themout and added them over the base with some foam tape.

I used one of the new in colors for the flowers Tangelo Twist.
I then pulled out a new set to use for my  element across the bottom, I stamped the image from Butterfly Basics twice using Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the little postage image onto some scrap and cut out and added with more foam tape. I then sponged the image base using crumb cake too.
I added a small sentiment flag using the Petite Pairs stamp set.
I matted the image with Tangelo Twist card stock and then added to the base.

Well, thanks for coming by today!!

Dynamic Duos......Pink Poppies

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

This week on the Dynamic Duos challenge, it is Monochromatic week:

I love these pinks. I sorta CASED my own card, you can see it HERE, I used the same set and same layout for this card but I wanted to try it using some for the Stampin Up First Edition DSP, I have seen this done around and really like the look. I stamped the poppies onto the DSP with black stazon and then again onto some white card stock. I used my aqua painter and pretty in pink ink to color all the flowers in. I then used regal rose ink to shade. I then cut out the flower heads and added them to the DSP piece with some dimensionals.

I added some scallops along the side using one of the Adorning Accents Edgelit Dies.
I used some retired Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon across the bottom and then added a few pearls around.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I almost never make a card with out adding a sentiment to the front but I really couldn't make one work on this one.

The finished inside:

Be sure and head over to the Dynamic Duos Blog to see what the rest of the design team did with this fun color challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and

Sweet Sunday......Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
Here is our sweet sketch this week:
This is another sketch designed by our very own and oh so talented Karen Motz, who I Love!
I also love this great sketch, very easy to work with.
I am again using the Stampin Up Pleasant Poppies, hey it was out and on my desk.
This time I stamped a portion of the flowers onto some white card stock and then stamped again. I colored and then cut out the flower heads and added them over the top of the first ones with dimesionals.
I used raspberry ripple ink and my aqua painter to color them.
I wasn't planning a Valentines card when I started out but after putting it together I thought it looked very "Valentine-y"
I am also linking this to the The Paper Players Challenge: Love is in the Air

I used one of the delicate doilies sizzlits to mount my flowers onto.
The base of the card is Raspberry Ripple card stock and then I followed that with some white and the next layer is some DSP from a retired Simply Sent kit.
I then added more white and some more DSP from the Patio Party paper pack.
The edge along the bottom of the DSP is made from one of the Finishing Touches edgelits dies.
I added another strip of white that I embossed with the Chevron EF.
I finished it off with a loopy bow with a button and a few basic pearls.
I added some dazzling details to the flowers,
Here is a closeup where you can see the sparkle and dimesion a bit:

Dynamic Duos.....Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

I am excited to be back with our first color challenge of the new year on the Dynamic Duos blog.

Love this color combo, I pulled out my Stampin Up Pleasant Poppies stamp and inked it ups with some black stazon. I stamped it onto some confetti white card stock and colored in the flower heads with my aqua painter and melon mambo ink from squishing the ink pad together.
I then cut them all apart and layered them onto the embossed BG piece using some dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I made a loopy bow and added a melon mambo button to the center. The DSP on here is from the Summer Smooches paper pack. I added some dazzling details to the flowers to add some sparkle and shine, very pretty IRL. Here is a close-up shot that shows the sparkle a bit:

Be sure and head on over the the Dynamic Duos Blog and see what the rest of the team did with these colors! Sure hope you can play along!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Lot's of excitement today with this challenge.....

Karen decided to add to the team and put out a DT call a few weeks back and WOW, so many fabulous entries, I am not sure how Karen made the decision but she did and we are so honored to add the following talented stampers to the team:

Along with the rest of the talented team, I am so honored to stamp along side these wonderful ladies!!

OK, on to the Sweet Sketch that Karen has for us this week:

So I am again using my favorite new stamp set, Stampin Up's "Pleasant Poppies".
I paired this set up with some Pumpkin Pie and a new in color, Summer Starfruit. I wasn't sure I would like this new in color when I first saw it but after using it a bit, it is growing on me.  :)

I stamped the poppies onto some white card stock with black stazon and colored with my ink pads and aqua brush. The base of the card is Summer Starfruit and the DSP on here is from the Patio Party paper pack. I used the new Argyle EF for the strip across the middle and matted that with some pumpkin pie card stock that was punched with the dotted ribbon border punch.
The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set. I added some Summer Starfruit ribbon across the top and finished it with three pearls in the upper corner.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

More Poppies

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

More "Pleasant Poppies"!!

I hope you are not tired of seeing this stamp, cos it is my favorite and I fear you will see much, much more of it. And this layout, I know I use it alot, I guess this would be my fall to layout, especially when I have a large focal panel, like this one.
I made this card using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duo Blog. This week is a special week on the Dynamic Duo, this month has 5 weeks in it and when this happens they choose one color and you choose one.

Their chosen color is Crumb Cake and I choose Pumpkin Pie for my color and of course I used white for the main image panel. I stamped the poppy image, well part of it, onto white card stock with black stazon.
I then colored with my aqua painter and pumpkin pie and crumb cake ink pads.

Did I say that I LOVE this stamp?? hehe!!
I used some retired pumpkin pie satin ribbon across the bottom. I am sad that SU retired all the satin ribbon, it is my favorite...pout! But no worries, I stocked up!!! :)
The sentiment on here is from the Stampin Up "A Word for You". I stamped with black stazon and used my 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches to make the sentiment piece. I added a few silver pearls (non SU) under the sentiment and to the image panel.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Stamping 411 .....Here for you

Hello Peeps!!

Time for another new sketch challenge on the Stamping 411 Blog

Here is our sketch for this week:

This is actually the first card I made when I received my new Stampin Up "Pleasant Poppies" stamp!

I am totally loving this stamp, so pretty! I also used some of the new fun Polka Dot DSP.
The poppies were stamped with black stazon onto white card stock and colored. I then ran the image through my big shot using the Square Lattice EF. Love the look of this.

The sentiment on here comes from another new set called Blooming with Kindness. The sentiments and font in this set are so pretty.
I have an excess of the smallest pearls that comes in the assorted pearl pack and had been looking for a way to use some of them. I added them around the sentiment piece, I think it looks nice....whatcha think?
I added three pearls in the upper corner and some white taffeta ribbon to finish it off.

Be sure and head on over to the 411 Blog to see what the others have done with this sketch
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC161.......To my friend

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
This is a special sketch challenge, this week is your chance to join the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team.

Karen is putting out a "Casting Call" to join the team.
 Here is all the deets:

Now onto this weeks sketch:

I am again using my new Stampin Up stamp called "Pleasant Poppies". I loved this set as soon as I laid my eyes on it and since getting it, I have not put it away.
Of course, we all think of red when we think of poppies and I did make a red card with red poppies on it, I will posting that one later this week, but I wasn't sure what other colors  poppies come in, I have seen orange and yellow but I was surprised when I did an internet search and saw so many colors, purple and blue was two I don't think I had seen. When I saw the pretty purple ones they reminded me of one of my favorite Stampin Up colors, rich razzleberry.
The Poppy stamp is a large background type stamp but it is easy to mask off portions of the stamp and use just part of the stamp. The last two cards I used one side of the stamp so for this one I used the other part, a bit smaller but it worked well for this sketch.

The DSP I used is from the Stampin Up "Summer Smooches" and "Floral District" paper packs.
The sentiment comes from the "Friendly Phrases" stamp set. I added some basic pearls and some little butterflies made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team, and Guest Designer has in store for us this week:

and this week's Sweet Guest Designer: Dawn Easton.

Thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Regal Poppies

Happy Wednesday peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.
The colors this week are Regal Rose and Basic Gray.

I haven't used regal rose in such a long time.
I got some new stamps this week and I am in love with this one.
It is called "Pleasant Poppies" it is a large Back Ground stamp.
I used just a portion of it for this card. I masked off part of it with some post it notes and just inked up the portion I wanted.
I used black stazon to stamp onto some white card stock.
I then colored the image with my aqua painter and ink pads, using regal rose and a little bit of daffodil delight and pear pizzazz.

The base of the card is basic gray and then I used another piece of gray and embossed it with the square lattice EF. The ribbon on here is some retired regal rose grosgrain.
I added some scallops down the side made with the perfect trimmings die.
How about that cute sentiment tag? I made that with the new Bitty Banners Framelit die. The sentiment itself
comes from the Easy Events stamp set.

I am also adding this to the SUO Challenges to make something frilly.
I thing the bow and scallops with pearls are a bit frilly

Well, that is all from me today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!
