Caroling Mice

Today I am sharing another card made with retired products for the challenge at 

52 Christmas Card Throwdown

 

and also the challenge at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

This fun card was made using the Caroling Mice Bundle

The base of the card is Poppy Parade  and the DSP is more scraps from my DSP scrap drawer.

I colored the singing mouse and lamp post using my Blends.

They are mounted with dimensionals onto a die cut circle from the stitched Shapes Dies.

Happy Birthday Cake

 Hello Peeps!

Popping in her for a quick post to share a card I made for the 

challenge at AAA Cards Challenge.

I dug out another retired set called Best Day, I remembered it had a cute cake image.

I stamped the iage onto Basic White and colored with my Blends, I used Bubble Bath, Balmy Blue

Medium 400 and Daffodil Delight.

I die cut it out with a die from the Textured Notes Dies.

I mounted this onto a piece of Bubble Bath that I embossed with the Gingham EF using dimensionals.

The base is also Bubble Batch cardstock.

I did add a few little pink gems to finish.

Sweet

Hello Peps!

I have a fun card to share today, again using retired products.

The challenge at The Paper Players this week was to make a CAS card featuring food.

My card uses the Sweetest Cherries Bundle:

I started with abase of Thick Basic White and then a layer of Real Red and then another Basic White layer that I embossed with the Gingham EF.

I don't know the name of the DSP, it is one I had in my scrap DSP drawer, if you know what pack it is from let me know.

I stamped 2 cherry images with Real Red and leaves and stems are stamped with Old olive. I then used the coordinating punch to punch the images out. I added these to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the Sweet sentiment with Real Red on some scrap card stock and then fussy cut it out and added it with dimensionals as well. 

The birthday wishes is from the same set and is stamped with black and added under the sweet.

Hello guys

Today's card share us a card I made for the challenge at Just Us Girls 

My card:

I love a flower card, this one uses another retired set. Thoughtful Expressions. stamp set and the matching dies are great.

The base of my card is Poppy Parade and I followed that with a piece of Basic white that I embossed with the ornate floral EF.

I stamped the flower image twice with Black Stazon onto watercolor paper and colored with my ink pads and water brush.

Hope you enjoy my journey back into a lot of my retired sets. It is fun to pull them out and feel like they are new.

Hello Guys!!

Today I am sharing a card made using the Christmas Challenge at 

Addicted to Stamps & More

 Keeping with my theme lately in using retired stamps and DSP, here is what I made:

A fun Fold card using the Whimsy and Wonder DSP and Whimsical Trees Bundle.

I think this DSP is one of my favorites, I generally like more traditional colors, but this one is so pretty

I think this fun fold is called a Tri-Fold Shutter Card. 

You can google samples and instructions on making it. 

The base of the card is Blushing Bride. 

Also, I used Mint Macaroon  noth of these are retired colors that is why it is a good idea to hang on to those retired colors. 

The sentiment comes from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.

Happy Birthday

 Hello Peeps!!

Today's card share is a cute birthday card using the challenge at Inspired By:

My card:

I think I only have this set with a frog, so that is what I went with, the Charming Duck Pond, which is retired. This set was a Suite of products, and the DSP is Lily Pond Lane.

The paper has great colors in it. I used Pretty Peacock for my card base and the die cut panel on the front.

I used a die from the suite to die cut the top piece, I then embossed with the Dashing Designs EF. 

I also cut the "cattails" with some Granny Apple Green and Early Espresso. Also die cut are the lily pads and flowers 

I used a piece of Basic White and sponged the bottom to look like the pond.

I stamped two frogs and colored them up and die cut out with the matching dies.

This is another fun fold card.

Love You Lots

 Hello Peeps and Happy Sunday.

Today I am sharing a card using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I have been having fun playing with some of my retired sets recently. Since uncasing them last winter and putting into clear sleeves, I can find them easily and flip through them to see ones I hadn't thought about in a long tme.

This led me to this fun set called Love Cats, my card:

I really liked thios set when it came out, it was released as a Valentine set, but really you could use it for a lot more occasions. I decided I wanted to try to use it on this sketch and hoped it would fit into my circles. I ended up having to cut the tails out before die cutting with my circle dies from the Stylish Shape Dies.

                             I think it works, even though my circles are a bit larger than the sketch shows.

The base of my card si thick basic white and then another layer of basic white that I embossed with the Gingham EF .

I used a piece of gingham DSP from the retired Birthday pack.

I added a narrow strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock to the edge of the DSP.

I colored the hearts with Pretty in Pink using a Blend, I added the cat circles to the base with dimensionals.  

My sentiment comes from the Sweet Bugs stamp set. 

I finished up with a few Pretty in Pink adhesive dots.

You Make My Heart Smile

 Hey Guys, I am popping in here with another card. This one I made using a couple of challenges;

The sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

  

and the challenge at Just Add Ink is to use Dies-Stencils or Both

My card:

I am again using the retired Layers of Beaty stamp set.

I used the stencil/Mask to color with Lemon Lolly ink and leaves with Old Olive.

I die cut it out with the matching dies and I then fussy cut some of the flowers apart.

I used the beautiful Floral Delight DSP, also retired.

The Base of the card is Crumb Cake followed with a piece of DSP that resembles Burlap.

Then a layer of yellow gingham DSP.

I embossed a square of Basic White with the Time Worn EF.

I layered this onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I added my flowers and greenery to this panel with dimensionals.

 

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock. I die cut it with a die from the Textured Notes Dies.

I finished with a few adhesive backed Lemon :olly dots.

My Card:

My card is pretty CAS. I used the retired Let's set Sail stamp set along with the Sailboat Punch.

The base of my card is Thick Basic White.

The sailboat uses Misty Moonlight and Poppy Parade.  t

The pole and boat are Crumb Cake.

I made the small flags banner with some Misty Moonlight DSP/

 Hello Peeps!! Hope all is well with you.

Today' card share is one I made with a couple of challenges in mind.

The challenge at Inkspirational is a pretty Visual Prompt:

and I used the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

When I looked at the photo prompt, I thought the flowers looked like Hydrangeas and I was drawn to the green one. That was my jumping off point. I have made several Hydrangea cards but never nade a green one.

My card: 

I really like how this one came out. I used the retired Thankful Garden stamp set with the matching stencil/masks and dies.

I used Soft Seafoam for the green and Garden Green for the leaves.

The base of my card is Basic Black cardstock and then a layer of Soft Seafoam followed with some white that I embossed with the Brick & Mortar EF. I then used a strip of Soft Seafoam DSP from the Subtles pack down the side. 

I stamped the sentiment on Basic Black with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder/

I cut it apart and fussy cut around the thankful part my skills at cutting out words are a bit rough, I need some more practice.

I finished up with a few Back Matte Dots and a small twine bow.

Birthday Wishes

 Good Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week at The Paper Players.

My card:

I again used the retired Mixed Florals stamp set. I love coloring flowers and this set is perfect for that.

I stamped my image using the Hybrid black ink pad onto watercolor paper.

I colored using Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

I die cut it out using the matching dies.

I die cut aa Arch shape with Basic white using the Everyday Arches dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday set at the bottom of the arch.

I then cut a slit in the arch above the sentiment to tuck my flowers in to. 

The base of the card is Gorgeous Grape cardstock and the DSP comes from the Love Notes Mix and Match DSP pack.

 I added the main image piece to the base with dimensionals.

I finished with a small white twine bow and a few Brass Butterflies.

Do tulips come in purple? I don't know but mine do!

Warm Winter Wishes

 Hello guys! Thanks for coming by.

My card today was made using a few challenges,

The challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown

 

and the challenge at Jingle Bells: 

Dashing through the Snow. 

Also the challenge at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge

I did a scallop shaped card using the new Scallop Blooms Dies.

The stamped set is the retired SnowBody Better. 

I stamped the image with Black Memento on Basic White cardstock.

I colored with blends using Pretty in Pink, Balmy Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Misty Moonlight. I shaded all around my snowmen and inside their bodies with Smoky Slate. My gray is subtle, but it is there. I also stamped the sentiment using Smoky Slate ink

I die cut the image out with the second to largest scallop die.

I then used a piece of Misty Moonlight folded in half to die cut with the largest scallop die, leaving the top edge of the die just above the fold of the cardstock.

I embossed the front of the large scallop using the Winter Snow EF.

I used my craft ink pad to gently run across the embossed card to highlight the Snowflakes.

I added several snowflakes from the loose snowflakes embellishments, retired.

Too many?

I got a bit carried away, but what the heck, it's all good! 😁
